| 1 | Resource utilization of solid waste carbide slag:a brief review of application technologies in various scenes显示文摘China is the largest producer and consumer of calcium carbide in the world.The calcium carbide industry is an indispensable industry to support the basic life of people.The huge production capacity of calcium carbide is accompanied by a large number of solid waste carbide slag.Due to the immature treatment technology of carbide slag,a large number of carbide slag are stacked on-site,resulting in land occupation,air-drying,easy take-off ash,and pollution of the environment and water resources.In China,calcium carbide is mainly used to produce acetylene and further utilized,80%of which is used to produce polyvinyl chloride(PVC).A large amount of carbide slag is not used,while only a small part is used in the traditional building materials industry,flue gas desulfurization,sewage treatment,etc.,however,the economic benefits are poor.Therefore,converting the solid waste carbide slag produced by the calcium carbide industry into high value-added CaCO3,CaCl2,CaSO4 whiskers,etc.has become a potential way to expand the development field of the calcium carbide industry and is environmentally friendly.This paper focuses on summarizing the traditional and emerging high value-added utiliza-tion technologies of carbide slag,and then introduces the application research of carbide slag in carbon emission reduction.Finally,the defects of these technologies are summarized and further research directions are prospected.This study provides basic guidance for the diversified development of efficient resource utilization of carbide slag.Graphical abstract Diversified development of calcium carbide industry,resource utilization of solid waste carbide slag and its application of carbon emission reduction have been fully reviewed. | Hongxia Wang Wanyi Xu Maimoona Sharif Guangxu Cheng Zaoxiao Zhang | 2022 | Waste Disposal and Sustainable Energy2022,4,1: | 3 |
| 2 | A pH Model for Calculating the pH Value of Mixed–Acid–Base Equilibria of Overhead Condensing Systems in Crude Distillation显示文摘A pH predictive model based on acid–base equilibria and ion equilibria was proposed to calculate the pH value of the overhead condensing system of crude distillation unit. The pH model could be used to predict the appropriate amounts of neutralizers by measuring the Cl-ion concentration of the overhead knockout drum. The pH values of various neutralized streams were estimated by this model. The results showed that the predicted pH values were in good agreement with the experimental ones. The trend of the corrosion inhibition efficiency decreases in the following order: ethylenediamine > N,Ndimethylethanolamine> triethylamine > 3-methoxypropylamine > morpholine. | 9 | Insight into the microstructural evolution of anthracite during carbonization-graphitization process from the perspective of materialization显示文摘Materialization of coal is one of effective and clean pathways for its utilization. The microstructures of coal-based carbon materials have an important influence on their functional applications. Herein, the microstructural evolution of anthracite in the temperature range of 1000–2800 ℃ was systematically investigated to provide a guidance for the microstructural regulation of coal-based carbon materials.The results indicate that the microstructure of anthracite undergoes an important change during carbonization-graphitization process. As the temperature increases, aromatic layers in anthracite gradually transform into disordered graphite microcrystals and further grow into ordered graphite microcrystals, and then ordered graphite microcrystals are laterally linked to form pseudo-graphite phase and eventually transformed into highly ordered graphite-like sheets. In particular, 2000–2200 ℃ is a critical temperature region for the qualitative change of ordered graphite crystallites to pseudo-graphite phase,in which the relevant structural parameters including stacking height, crystallite lateral size and graphitization degree show a rapid increase. Moreover, both aromaticity and graphitization degree have a linear positive correlation with carbonization-graphitization temperature in a specific temperature range.Besides, after initial carbonization, some defect structures in anthracite such as aliphatic carbon and oxygen-containing functional groups are released in the form of gaseous low-molecular volatiles along with an increased pore structure, and the intermediates derived from minerals could facilitate the conversion of sp^(3) amorphous carbon to sp^(2) graphitic carbon.
