1Flexible control strategy for HVDC transmission system adapted to intermittent new energy delivery显示文摘Intermittent new energy delivery requires increasing the flexibility of ultra-high voltage direct current(DC)power adjustment.Based on a converter steady-state model and a DC power model,the control angle constraints of a converter valve are relaxed for power regulation.In this paper,a flexible DC power control method based on a fixed tap changer position is proposed.The initial ratio of the converter transformer is optimized.The effects of the fixed-tap changer position control on the control angle,reactive power compensation,and commutation failure are analyzed.The new control method allows a DC system to operate at a large angle and increase the additional reactive power loss while improving the commutation security margin.Steady-state and electromagnetic transient simulations in the CIGRE test system verify the validity of the method proposed in this paper and the correctness of the analysis conclusions.Chenhao Li Kuan Li Changhui Ma Pengfei Zhang Qi Tao Yingtao Sun Xin Wang 2021Global Energy Interconnection2021,4,4:6
2Acquisition of channel state information for mm Wave massive MIMO: traditional and machine learning-based approaches显示文摘The accuracy of channel state information(CSI) acquisition directly affects the performance of millimeter wave(mmWave) communications. In this article, we provide an overview on CSI acquisition,including beam training and channel estimation for mmWave massive multiple-input multiple-output systems.The beam training can avoid the estimation of a high-dimension channel matrix, while the channel estimation can flexibly exploit advanced signal processing techniques. 3Photothermal and pH dual-responsive self-healing coating for smart corrosion protection显示文摘A novel self-healing coating with photothermal and pH dual-responsive properties has been designed to protect carbon steel against corrosion by loading the stimuli-responsive microcapsules into a shape memory epoxy coating. The sandwich-like microcapsules were based on reduced graphene oxide/mesoporous silica(r GO@MS) assembled with a p H-responsive poly(N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate)(PDMAEMA) layer, and were loaded with benzotriazole(BTA) inhibitors(abbreviated as rGO@MS-P-BTA). Under near-infrared(NIR) light irradiation, the prominent photothermal effect of rGO could not only elevate the coating temperature to activate the shape memory effect and close the coating scratch, but also facilitate the release of corrosion inhibitors to suppress the corrosion activity. Moreover,the PDMAEMA as a p H-driven “gatekeeper” realized the controlled release of BTA from microcapsules at acid conditions. The surface morphology analysis, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS), and scanning electrochemical microscopy(SECM) were performed to evaluate the self-healing performance of the composite coatings. 4Multi-action self-healing coatings with simultaneous recovery of corrosion resistance and adhesion strength显示文摘In this study, a new self-healing strategy that can simultaneously recover the corrosion resistance and the adhesion strength of coatings was introduced. The coating was based on a shape memory epoxy resin containing ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) microspheres loaded with Ce(NO_(3))_(3)inhibitors, and was cured at a relatively high temperature to facilitate the fusion of adjacent microspheres for a strengthened self-healing effect. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and scanning electrochemical microscopy(SECM) results demonstrated that the shape memory effect of epoxy matrix, the filling of molten EVA microspheres as well as the release of Ce(NO_(3))_(3)inhibitors contributed synergistically to suppress the corrosion reaction at the coating damage. After healing, the low frequency impedance modulus of the coatings containing Ce(NO_(3))_(3)-EVA microspheres was three orders of magnitude higher than that of the blank epoxy coating. 5Provenance Documentation to Enable Explainable and Trustworthy AI:A Literature Review显示文摘Recently artificial intelligence(AI)and machine learning(ML)models have demonstrated remarkable progress with applications developed in various domains.It is also increasingly discussed that AI and ML models and applications should be transparent,explainable,and trustworthy.Accordingly,the field of Explainable AI(XAI)is expanding rapidly.XAI holds substantial promise for improving trust and transparency in AI-based systems by explaining how complex models such as the deep neural network(DNN)produces their outcomes.Moreover,many researchers and practitioners consider that using provenance to explain these complex models will help improve transparency in AI-based systems.In this paper,we conduct a systematic literature review of provenance,XAI,and trustworthy AI(TAI)to explain the fundamental concepts and illustrate the potential of using provenance as a medium to help accomplish explainability in AI-based systems.Moreover,we also discuss the patterns of recent developments in this area and offer a vision for research in the near future.We hope this literature review will serve as a starting point for scholars and practitioners interested in learning about essential components of provenance,XAI,and TAI.Amruta Kale Tin Nguyen Frederick C.Harris Jr. Chenhao Li Jiyin Zhang Xiaogang Ma 2023Data Intelligence2023,5,1:0
6Analyzing Ethereum Smart Contract Vulnerabilities at Scale Based on Inter-Contract Dependency显示文摘Smart contracts running on public blockchains are permissionless and decentralized,attracting both developers and malicious participants.Ethereum,the world’s largest decentralized application platform on which more than 40 million smart contracts are running,is frequently challenged by smart contract vulnerabilities.What’s worse,since the homogeneity of a wide range of smart contracts and the increase in inter-contract dependencies,a vulnerability in a certain smart contract could affect a large number of other contracts in Ethereum.However,little is known about how vulnerable contracts affect other on-chain contracts and which contracts can be affected.Thus,we first present the contract dependency graph(CDG)to perform a vulnerability analysis for Ethereum smart contracts,where CDG characterizes inter-contract dependencies formed by DELEGATECALL-type internal transaction in Ethereum.Then,three generic definitions of security violations against CDG are given for finding respective potential victim contracts affected by different types of vulnerable contracts.Further,we construct the CDG with 195,247 smart contracts active in the latest blocks of the Ethereum and verify the above security violations against CDG by detecting three representative known vulnerabilities.Compared to previous large-scale vulnerability analysis,our analysis scheme marks potential victim contracts that can be affected by different types of vulnerable contracts,and identify their possible risks based on the type of security violation actually occurring.The analysis results show that the proportion of potential victim contracts reaches 14.7%,far more than that of corresponding vulnerable contracts(less than 0.02%)in CDG.Qiuyun Lyu Chenhao Ma Yanzhao Shen Shaopeng Jiao Yipeng Sun Liqin Hu 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,5:0
