| 3 | Polymeric photonic molecule super-mode lasers on silicon显示文摘Optically coupled microcavities have emerged as photonic structures with promising properties for investigation of fundamental science as well as for applications.We report on the fabrication and spatially resolved spectroscopy of on-chip photonic molecule(PM)lasers consisting of two coupled,dye-doped polymeric microdisks on a silicon substrate.We investigate the fundamental lasing properties with focus on the spatial distribution of modes,the coupling dependent suppression of lasing modes,and in particular the application-oriented operation of these devices in aqueous environments.By depositing an additional polymer layer onto the lithographically structured cavities made of dye-doped poly(methyl methacrylate),coupling-gap widths below 150 nm with aspect ratios of the micro-/nanostructure exceeding 9:1 are achieved.This enables strong optical coupling at visible wavelengths despite relatively small resonator radii of 25 μm.The lasing properties of dye-doped PMs are investigated using spatially resolved micro-photoluminescence(μ-PL)spectroscopy.This technique allows for the direct imaging of whispering-gallery modes(WGMs)in the photonics molecules.For subwavelength coupling gaps,we observe lasing from delocalized eigenstates of the PMs(termed in the following as super-modes).Using size-mismatched cavities,the lasing mode suppression for different coupling-gap widths is investigated.We further demonstrate single-mode lasing operation in aqueous environments with PMs,which are realized on a low-cost,polymer-on-silicon platform. | Tobias Grossmann Tobias Wienhold Uwe Bog Torsten Beck Christian Friedmann Heinz Kalt Timo Mappes | 2013 | Light(Science & Applications)2013，2，1： | 1 |
| 4 | Early cisternal fibrinolysis is more effective than rescue spasmolysis for the prevention of delayed infarction after subarachnoid haemorrhage显示文摘Background To compare the efficacy of two different concepts of cisternal therapy—PREVENTIVE fibrinolysis plus on-demand spasmolysis versus RESCUE spasmolysis—for the prevention of cerebral vasospasm(CVS)and delayed cerebral infarction(DCI)in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage(aSAH).Methods Retrospective analysis of 84 aSAH patients selected for cisternal therapy for DCI prevention.66 high-risk patients received PREVENTIVE cisternal therapy to enhance blood clearance.Either stereotactic catheter ventriculocisternostomy(STX-VCS)or intraoperative placement of a cisterno-ventriculostomy catheter(CVC),followed by fibrinolytic cisternal lavage using urokinase was performed.In case of vasospasm,nimodipine was applied intrathecally.22 low-risk patients who developed CVS against expectations were selected for STX-VCS as RESCUE intervention for cisternal spasmolysis with nimodipine.Rates of DCI and mean flow velocities of daily transcranial Doppler(TCD)ultrasonographies were evaluated.Results Despite a higher prespecified DCI risk,patients selected for PREVENTIVE intervention primarily aiming at blood clearance had a lower DCI rate compared with patients selected for intrathecal spasmolysis as a RESCUE therapy(11.3%vs 18.2%).After intrathecal treatment onset,CVS(TCD>160 cm/s)occurred in 45%of patients with PREVENTIVE and 77%of patients with RESCUE therapy(p=0.013).A stronger response of CVS to intrathecal nimodipine was observed in patients with PREVENTIVE intervention as the mean CVS duration after start of intrathecal nimodipine was 3.2 days compared with 5.8 days in patients with RESCUE therapy(p=0.026).Conclusions PREVENTIVE cisternal therapy directed at blood clearance is more effective for the prevention of CVS and delayed infarction compared with cisternal RESCUE spasmolysis. | Roland Roelz Christian Scheiwe Jürgen Grauvogel Istvan Csok Volker Arnd Coenen Jürgen Beck Peter C Reinacher | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022，7，2： | 1 |
| 5 | Design and calibration of a high-sensitivity and high-accuracy polarimeter based on liquid crystal variable retarders显示文摘Polarimetry plays an important role in the measurement of solar magnetic fields. We developed a high-sensitivity and high-accuracy polarimeter(HHP) based on nematic liquid crystal variable retarders(LCVRs), which has a compact setup and no mechanical moving parts. The system design and calibration methods are discussed in detail. The azimuth error of the transmission axis of the polarizer as well as the fast axes of the two LCVRs and the quarter-wave plate were determined using dedicated procedures. Linearly and circularly polarized light were employed to evaluate the performance of the HHP. The experimental results indicate that a polarimetric sensitivity of better than 5.7 × 10^(-3)can be achieved by using a single short-exposure image, while an accuracy on the order of 10^(-5)can be reached by using a large number of short-exposure images.
