| 10 | Multi-modality parathyroid imaging:A shifting paradigm显示文摘The goal of parathyroid imaging in hyperparathyroidism is not diagnosis,rather it is the localization of the cause of hyperparathyroidism for planning the best therapeutic approach.Hence,the role of imaging to accurately and precisely localize the abnormal parathyroid tissue is more important than ever to facilitate minimally invasive parathyroidectomy over bilateral neck exploration.The common causes include solitary parathyroid adenoma,multiple parathyroid adenomas,parathyroid hyperplasia and parathyroid carcinoma.It is highly imperative for the radiologist to be cautious of the mimics of parathyroid lesions like thyroid nodules and lymph nodes and be able to differentiate them on imaging.The various imaging modalities available include high resolution ultrasound of the neck,nuclear imaging studies,four-dimensional computed tomography(4D CT)and magnetic resonance imaging.Contrast enhanced ultrasound is a novel technique which has been recently added to the armam-entarium to differentiate between parathyroid adenomas and its mimics.Through this review article we wish to review the imaging features of parathyroid lesions on various imaging modalities and present an algorithm to guide their radiological differentiation from mimics. | Shrea Gulati Sunil Chumber Gopal Puri Stanzin Spalkit N A Damle CJ Das | 2023 | World Journal of Radiology2023，15，3： | 0 |
| 11 | Report of primary leiomyosarcoma of renal pelvis and literature review显示文摘Primary sarcomas of kidney are exceptionally rare tumors,accounting for only 1-2%of all malignant tumors of kidney.Leiomyosarcoma(LMS)is the most common histological subtype among all renal sarcomas.The authors describe here a case of primary leiomyosarcoma of renal pelvis in a 50-year-old lady,presenting with flank pain.Based on triple phase cardio-electroencephalographic covariance tracing abdomen,presumptive diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma/renal sarcoma/neurogenic tumor was made and patient underwent radical nephrectomy.Microscopy reflected spindle cell tumor which showed strong positivity for desmin and smooth muscle actin with negative epithelial markers,thereby confirming the diagnosis of renal LMS.Owing to aggressive nature and low survival rates of LMS patient received adjuvant treatment in form of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.Patient is doing well 1 year post treatment. | Abhidha Malik Ritesh Kumar Abhishek Shankar Sunil Chumber Sameer Bakhshi Seema Kaushal Bala Thirunavukkarasu | 2017 | Journal of Cancer Metastasis and Treatment2017，3，1： | 0 |
