| 1 | Photocatalytic degradation of trace-level of Microcystin-LR by nano-film of titanium dioxide显示文摘Microcystins, a group of hepatotoxin produced by cyanobacteria in eutrophic freshwater, have proven unreliable to be removed by conven-tional treatments. In this study, the photocatalytic degradation experiments of Microcystin-LR were conducted using nano-TiO2 thin film, prepared by sol- gel and dip-coating method, with low UVA intensity irradiation. Analysis results from SPE (solid-phase extraction) combined with HPLC method showed that Microcystin-LR whose initial concentration (μg/L) around that occurs naturally was easily to be re-moved by photocatalytic system. The degradation efficiency of toxin was influenced by the pH condi-tions, initial concentration and UV intensity. The maximum initial rate of photocatalytic degradation occurred at pH 4 and over 95% of 20 μg/L Micro-cystin-LR was decomposed within 120 min under 400μW/cm2 UV illumination. The kinetic equations and parameters revealed that degradation reaction of trace level MC-LR, which was depicted by Langmuir- Hinshelwood kinetics model, was in accordance with pseudo first order kinetics process in appearance well. Under the condition of pH=6.7, irradiation inten-sity=400 μW/cm2 and initial concentration=20 μg/L, the corresponding pseudo-first-order rate constant k and half-life were determined to be 0.0157 min?1 and 44 min, respectively. | 2 | Changes of Extreme Precipitation and its Associated Mechanisms in Northwest China显示文摘Characterized by scarce water resources and fragile ecosystems,Northwest China(NWC)has experienced a climate shift from warm-dry to warm-wet conditions since the 1980s that has garnered extensive concern in recent years.In this study,the variability in extreme precipitation(EP)during 1961-2016 in different climate zones of NWC and the possible mechanisms for this variation are investigated.The results show that the EP trends significantly increased in most of the westerly zone(WZ)and plateau zone(PZ),while the EP trends did not significantly decrease in the monsoon zone(MZ).The start dates of extreme precipitation(SDEP)and end dates of extreme precipitation(EDEP)advanced and were postponed,respectively,in the WZ and PZ,while the opposite occurred in the MZ.Summer atmospheric circulation,water vapor transport,and atmospheric instability over NWC varied greatly with the interdecadal shift in EP before and after 1986.During 1986-2016,upper-level divergence and lower-level convergence occurred in the MZ and PZ,which strengthened ascending flow.In addition,the summer water vapor and atmospheric instability increased in the WZ and PZ.These characteristics created favorable conditions for increased occurrences of EP in the WZ and PZ in summer.Conversely,the upper-level convergence and lower-level divergence in the MZ strengthened descending flow.Decreases in summer water vapor and atmospheric instability occurred in the MZ after 1986.Hence,the environmental conditions in the MZ may have prevented the occurrence and development of EP in summer during 1986-2016. | Shan LU Zeyong HU Haipeng YU Weiwei FAN Chunwei FU Di WU | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,10: | 4 |

| 12 | Preparation of molecularly imprinted microspheres by photo-grafting on supports modified with iniferter显示文摘Molecularly imprinted microspheres (MIMs) of D-mandelic acid were synthesized in this study. Chloromethylated polystyrene beads modified with iniferter were used as supports for photo-grafting of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) layer. The polymers were characterized by FT-IR, elemental analysis and thermo-gravimetric analysis to testify the polymer formation and its thermal stability. Scan- ning electron micrographs (SEM) show that the MIP particles are mono-dispersed and well-spherical, with the average diameter of 4.38 μm and size distribution coefficient of 1.02. Furthermore, the MIMs were packed in a stainless steel column and evaluated as stationary phases in high performance liquid chro- matography (HPLC). The prepared MIP exhibited a considerable capability of chiral separation between template and its enantiomer.
