A ternary phased SnO_2-Fe_2O_3/SWCNTs nanocomposite as a high performance anode material for lithium ion batteries显示文摘A new SnO_2-Fe_2O_3/SWCNTs(single-walled carbon nanotubes) ternary nanocomposite was first synthesized by a facile hydrothermal approach.SnO_2 and Fe_2O_3 nanoparticles(NPs) were homogeneously located on the surface of SWCNTs,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscope(TEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX).Due to the synergistic effect of different components, the as synthesized SnO_2-Fe_2O_3/SWCNTs composite as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries exhibited excellent electrochemical performance with a high capacity of 692 mAh·g^(-1) which could be maintained after 50 cycles at 200 mA·g^(-1).Even at a high rate of2000 mA·g^(-1),the capacity was still remained at 656 mAh·g^(-1). | Wangliang Wu Yi Zhao Jiaxin Li Chuxin Wu Lunhui Guan | 2014 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2014,23,3: | 5
OsbZIP09,a Unique OsbZIP Transcription Factor of Rice,Promotes Rather Than Suppresses Seed Germination by Attenuating Abscisic Acid Pathway显示文摘We successfully identified a novel and unique OsbZIP transcription factor,OsbZIP09,whose mutants exhibited longer seeds and less severe pre-harvest sprouting than the wild type, but shared similar germination rate as the wild type under normal germination conditions. The expression of OsbZIP09 was induced by abscisic acid(ABA)and declined as the germination process. As a nucleus-localized transcription factor, the conserved binding motif of OsbZIP09 was identified via DNA affinity purification sequencing technique.Further evidences indicated that OsbZIP09 directly enhanced the expression of ABA catabolism gene ABA8ox1,thus reducing ABA accumulation. In addition,OsbZIP09 also directly bound to the promoter of LEA3 gene to inhibit its expression, thus further alleviating the suppressive effect of ABA on seed germination. These results demonstrated that OsbZIP09 likely functions as a brake of the ABA pathway to attenuate the inhibitory effect of ABA on rice seed germination via dual strategies. | Wang Chuxin Zhu Chengchao Zhou Yu Xiong Min Wang Jindong Bai Huang Lu Chenya Zhang Changquan Liu Qiaoquan Li Qianfeng | 2021 | Rice science2021,28,4: | 1

Structural and functional connectivity of the whole brain and subnetworks in individuals with mild traumatic brain injury:predictors of patient prognosis显示文摘Patients with mild traumatic brain injury have a diverse clinical presentation, and the underlying pathophysiology remains poorly understood.Magnetic resonance imaging is a non-invasive technique that has been widely utilized to investigate neuro biological markers after mild traumatic brain injury. This approach has emerged as a promising tool for investigating the pathogenesis of mild traumatic brain injury.G raph theory is a quantitative method of analyzing complex networks that has been widely used to study changes in brain structure and function. However, most previous mild traumatic brain injury studies using graph theory have focused on specific populations, with limited exploration of simultaneous abnormalities in structural and functional connectivity.Given that mild traumatic brain injury is the most common type of traumatic brain injury encounte red in clinical practice, further investigation of the patient characteristics and evolution of structural and functional connectivity is critical. In the present study,we explored whether abnormal structural and functional connectivity in the acute phase could serve as indicators of longitudinal changes in imaging data and cognitive function in patients with mild traumatic brain injury. In this longitudinal study,we enrolled 46 patients with mild traumatic brain injury who were assessed within 2 wee ks of injury,as well as 36 healthy controls.Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging and diffusion-weighted imaging data were acquired for graph theoretical network analysis. In the acute phase, patients with mild traumatic brain injury demonstrated reduced structural connectivity in the dorsal attention network.More than 3 months of followup data revealed signs of recovery in structural and functional connectivity,as well as cognitive function,in 22 out of the 46 patients.Furthermore, better cognitive function was associated with more efficient networks. Finally, our data indicated that small-worldness in the acute stage could serve as a predictor of longitudinal changes in connectivity in patients with mild traumatic brain injury. These findings highlight the importance of integrating structural and functional connectivity in unde rstanding the occurrence and evolution of mild traumatic brain injury.Additionally, exploratory analysis based on subnetworks could serve a predictive function in the prognosis of patients with mild traumatic brain injury. | Sihong Huang Jungong Han Hairong Zheng Mengjun Li Chuxin Huang Xiaoyan Kui Jun Liu | 2024 | Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,7: | 0
Influence and mechanism of solar radiation intensity on the interdecadal variability of strong Meiyu events during historical periods显示文摘Most recent studies on Meiyu over the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River(MLRYR)have focused on its interannual variability or the mechanism of certain abnormal events. The influence and physical mechanism of solar radiation intensity on the interdecadal frequency of strong Meiyu events over the MLRYR during historical periods were investigated using reconstructed precipitation data, reconstructed solar radiation data, and model simulation data.First, according to the solar radiation intensity, the Ming and Qing Dynasties(1470-1850)were divided into three periods of strong solar radiation and three periods of weak solar radiation. It was found that during the periods of strong solar radiation, the frequency of strong Meiyu events was significantly higher than that during the periods of weak solar radiation in the reconstructed precipitation data and model simulations.Mechanism analyses show that during the periods of strong solar radiation, the Western Pacific Subtropical High(WPSH)is stronger, and the blocking highs over the middle-high-latitudes are also stronger, which is conducive to the continuous convergence of the southward cold air and the northward warm and humid air flow at the MLRYR.Therefore,a circulation spatial pattern conducive to the occurrence of strong Meiyu events is then induced. The probability distributions of precipitation also show that, during periods of strong solar radiation, changes in circulation patterns cause the probability distribution of precipitation to shift significantly to the right, increasing the probability of strong Meiyu events occurring on the right side of the probability distribution. | Liulin WANG Liang NING Kefan CHEN Mi YAN Jian LIU Zhengyu LIU Yanmin QIN Jiao XUE Chuxin LI | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,2: | 0

Correlation between cerebral cortex changes and clinical features in patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder with normal-appearing brain tissue:a case-control study显示文摘Neuro myelitis optica spectrum disorder(NMOSD) is an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. However, whether and how cortical changes occur in NMOSD with normal-appearing brain tissue,or whether any cortical changes correlate with clinical chara cteristics,is not completely clear. The current study recruited 43 patients with NMOSD who had normal-appearing brain tissue and 45 healthy controls matched for age, sex, and educational background from December 2020 to February 2022.A surface-based morphological analysis of high-resolution T1-weighted structural magnetic resonance images was used to calculate the cortical thickness, sulcal depth, and gyrification index.Analysis showed that cortical thickness in the bilate ral rostral middle frontal gyrus and left superior frontal gyrus was lower in the patients with NMOSD than in the control participants.Subgroup analysis of the patients with NMOSD indicated that compared with those who did not have any optic neuritis episodes, those who did have such episodes exhibited noticeably thinner cortex in the bilateral cuneus, superior parietal co rtex, and pericalcarine co rtex.Correlation analysis indicated that co rtical thickness in the bilateral rostral middle frontal gyrus was positively correlated with scores on the Digit Symbol Substitution Test and negatively correlated with scores on the Trail Making Test and the Expanded Disability Status Scale. These results are evidence that cortical thinning of the bilateral regional frontal cortex occurs in patients with NMOSD who have normal-appearing brain tissue, and that the degree of thinning is correlated with clinical disability and cognitive function. These findings will help im prove our understanding of the imaging chara cteristics in NMOSD and their potential clinical significance. | Chuxin Huang Yanyu Li Yanjing Chen Xuan Liao Huiting Zhang Zhiyuan Wang Jun Liu Wei Lu | 2023 | Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,11: | 0
