Size fraction of phytoplankton and the contribution of natural plankton to the carbon source of Zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri in mariculture ecosystem of the Sanggou Bay显示文摘The biomass and size fraction of phytoplankton in terms of chlorophyll a(Chl a) was measured during four cruises conducted in April, July, October 2013 and January 2014 in mariculture area, the Sanggou Bay, China. Results show that total Chl a levels in the surface seawater of the Sanggou Bay generally range from 0.10 to 20.46μg/L, with an average value of 2.13 μg/L. Nano-phytoplankton was the most important size-fraction and accounted for about 65.1% of total Chl a. In order to evaluate the importance of the 'protozoan trophic link' for energy transfer from the microbial loop to filter-feeding feeders, Zhikong scallop Chlamys farreri was then offered a natural planktonic community as potential prey. Results show that scallops obtained carbon source from natural plankton with the rate of 11 033.05 μg/(g·d). Protists(nanoflagellates and ciliates) were the dominant source of carbon retained by scallop(48.78%). The microbial loop provided 58.45% of the carbon source for farmed scallops. These results indicate that the microbial loop represent a valuable trophic resource in mariculture system of the Sanggou Bay. | JIANG Zengjie DU Meirong FANG Jinghui GAO Yaping LI Jiaqi ZHAO Li FANG Jianguang | 2017 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2017,36,10: | 4

Synthesis of MoX2 (X =Se or S) monolayers with high-concentration 1T'phase on 4H/fcc-Au nanorods for hydrogen evolution显示文摘Controlled synthesis of transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) monolayers with unusual crystal phases has attracted increasing attention due to their promising applications in electrocatalysis. However, the facile and large-scale preparation of TMD monolayers with high-concentration unusual crystal phase still remains a challenge.Herein,we report the synthesis of MoX2 (X =Se or S) monolayers with high-concentration semimetallic 1T'phase by using the 4H/face-centered cubic (fcc)-Au nanorod as template to form the 4H/fcc-Au@MoX2 nanocomposite. The concentrations of 1T'phase in the prepared MoSe2 and MoS2 monolayers are up to 86% and 81%,respectively.As a proof-of-concept application, the obtained Au@MoS2 nanocomposite is used for the electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in acid medium, exhibiting excellent performance with a low overpotential of 178 mV at the current density of 10 mNcm^2,a small Tafel slope of 43.3 mV/dec,and excellent HER stability. This work paves a way for direct synthesis of TMD monolayers with high-concentration of unusual crystal phase for the electrocatalytic application. | Zhengqing Liu Xiao Zhang Yue Gong Qipeng Lu Zhicheng Zhang Hongfei Cheng Qinglang Ma Junze Chen Meiting Zhao Bo Chen Ye Chen Xue-Jun Wu Pengfei Yin Lin Gu Yaping Du Hua Zhang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,6: | 3
Electroacupuncture improves neuropathic pain Adenosine, adenosine 5'-triphosphate disodium and their receptors perhaps change simultaneously显示文摘Applying a stimulating current to acupoints through acupuncture needles-known as electroacupuncture-has the potential to produce analgesic effects in human subjects and experimental animals. When acupuncture was applied in a rat model, adenosine 5-triphosphate disodium in the extracellular space was broken down into adenosine, which in turn inhibited pain transmission by means of an adenosine A1 receptor-dependent process. Direct injection of an adenosine A1 receptor agonist enhanced the analgesic effect of acupuncture. The analgesic effect of acupuncture appears to be mediated by activation of A1 receptors located on ascending nerves. In neuropathic pain, there is upregulation of P2X purinoceptor 3 (P2X3) receptor expression in dorsal root ganglion neurons. Conversely, the onset of mechanical hyperalgesia was diminished and established hyperalgesia was significantly reversed when P2X3 receptor expression was downregulated. The pathways upon which electroacupuncture appear to act are interwoven with pain pathways, and electroacupuncture stimuli converge with impulses originating from painful areas. Electroacupuncture may act via purinergic A1 and P2X3 receptors simultaneously to induce an analgesic effect on neuropathic pain. | Wen Ren Wenzhan Tu Songhe Jiang Ruidong Cheng Yaping Du | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,33: | 3
CeO_(2)with diverse morphologies-supported IrOx nanocatalysts for efficient oxygen evolution reaction—Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician Guangxian Xu显示文摘IrOx-based catalysts are considered the most promising candidates for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)due to their high efficiency. However, improving their intrinsic catalytic activity is essential for practical application. In this work,CeO_(2)with three different morphologies(rod, cube, octahedron)and supported IrOx nanoparticles were fabricated, and they display morphology-dependent OER activity. The IrOx/CeO_(2)-rod shows the highest activity;the catalysts have a catalytic activity sequence of rod>cube>octahedron.A plausible mechanism was proposed:the CeO_(2)support with different morphologies modulates the electronic structure of IrOx by the synergistic interaction promoted by oxygen vacancies between the active component and the support, thereby altering the catalytic activity of the IrOx/CeO_(2)catalyst. | Qingqing Li Zhichao Zeng Xiaolei Sun Feng Luo Yaping Du | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,4: | 3
Genotypic variation in spatiotemporal distribution of canopy light interception in relation to yield formation in cotton显示文摘Background: Within-canopy interception of photosynthetically active radiation(PAR) impacts yield and other agronomic traits in cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.). Field experiments were conducted to investigate the influence of 6 cotton varieties(they belong to 3 different plant types) on yield, yield distribution, light interception(LI), LI distribution and the relationship between yield formation and LI in Anyang, Henan, in 2014 and 2015.Result: The results showed that cotton cultivars with long branches(loose-type) intercepted more LI than did cultivars with short branches(compact-type), due to increased LI in the middle and upper canopy. Although loose-type varieties had greater LI, they did not yield significantly higher than compact-type varieties, due to decreased harvest index. Therefore, improving the harvest index by adjusting the source-to-sink relationship may further increase cotton yield for loose-type cotton. In addition, there was a positive relationship between reproductive organ biomass accumulation and canopy-accumulated LI, indicating that enhancing LI is important for yield improvement for each cultivar. Furthermore, yield distribution within the canopy was significantly linearly related to vertical LI distribution. Conclusion: Therefore, optimizing canopy structure of different plant type and subsequently optimizing LI distribution within the cotton canopy can effectively enhance the yield. | XING Fangfang HAN Yingchun FENG Lu ZHI Xiaoyu WANG Guoping YANG Beifang FAN Zhengyi LEI Yaping DU Wenli WANG Zhanbiao XIONG Shiwu LI Xiaofei Ll Yabing | 2018 | Journal of Cotton Research2018,1,3: | 3
Salivary protease spectrum biomarkers of oral cancer显示文摘Proteases are important molecules that are involved in many physiological and pathological processes of the human body, such as growth, apoptosis and metastasis cancer cells. They are potential targets in cancer diagnosis and biotherapy. In this study,we analyzed the salivary protease spectrum of patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC),oral benign masses and chronic periodontitis,as well as that of health, using human protease array kits,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, western blot and immunofluorescence. The salivary protease spectrum was found to be associated with oral diseases. For example, the saliva of patients with OSCC contained increased numbers of proteases than those of other oral diseases and health. The levels of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1,MMP-2,MMP-10,MMP-12,A disintegrin and metalloprotease (ADAM)9,A disintegrin and metalloprotease with thrombospondin type 13 motifs (ADAMST13),cathepsin V and kallikrein 5 in the saliva of patients with OSCC were significantly increased compared with those of other groups.Taking MMP-1,cathepsin V,kallikrein 5 and ADAM9 as biomarkers of OSCC,cutoff values were199,11.34,9.29 and 202.55 pg·mL?1,respectively.From the area under the curve, sensitivity and specificity, the combination of cathepsin V/kallikrein5/ADAM9 was an optimal biomarker for diagnosing OSCC.Thus, analysis of the salivary protease spectrum may be an innovative and cost-efficient approach to evaluating the health status of the oral cavity.Specifically, increases in cathepsin V,kallikrein 5 and ADAM9 may be useful biomarkers in the screening and diagnosis of OSCC. | Yun Feng Qian Li Jiao Chen Ping Yi Xin Xu Yaping Fan Bomiao Cui Yu Yu Xiaoying Li Yue Du Qianming Chen Lingling Zhang Jingjing Jiang Xuedong Zhou Ping Zhang | 2019 | International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,2: | 2
Assessing the effects of oyster/kelp weight ratio on water column properties: an experimental IMTA study at Sanggou Bay, China显示文摘Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture(IMTA)is an effective method for sustainable aquaculture as species from different trophic levels could reduce negative effects from fed species in the environment.A proper proportion of different trophic species in an IMTA system could improve the aquaculture production and environmental sustainability. At present, research on the proper proportions for farming species is scarce. We investigated the effects of IMTA modes of oyster(Crassostrea gigas)and kelp(Saccharina japonica)in different weight ratios on water quality and carbonate system in a closed enclosure experiment for three days in the Sanggou Bay in Shandong Province,China,in December 2017.Nine collocation modes in oyster:kelp weight ratio were tested showing as 24:3,24:2,24:1,16:3,16:2,16:1,8:3,8:2,and 8:1.The water parameters were determined at 17:00 on Day 1(D1),and 6:00 and 17:00 on Days 2(D2)and 3(D3).As two-way ANOVA showed, all increased parameters(dissolved oxygen(DO),pH,chl a,the carbonate system and pCO2)were significantly related to oyster-kelp modes, and interaction between modes and time were also significant(P<0.05).On the 3th day,the 8:3 mode was the highest in DO,pH,chl a,CO32-(P<0.05),and dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC),HCO3-,CO2,and pCO2 were the lowest(P<0.05).According to previous references and the results of this study, the appropriate oyster:kelp proportion at the beginning of winter is from 8:2 to 8:3.The results of this study may help government to optimize the aquaculture structure of Sanggou Bay. | FANG Jinghui FANG Jianguang CHEN Qionglin MAO Yuze JIANG Zengjie DU Meirong GAO Yaping LIN Fan | 2020 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,6: | 2
Recent advances on rare earths in solid lithium ion conductors显示文摘Solid lithium-ion-conducting material is the key component in the fabrication of next-gene ration all solid state lithium ion batteries(LIBs)which would exhibit superior safety and performance compared with the currently widely used ones that resort to essentially inflammable and volatile organic solvents. To date, great efforts have been made in developing solid conductors with high lithium ion conductivity, such as polymers and inorganic materials.Rare earths play a very important role in this area and have attracted extensive interest since the recent decades for their unique properties in the realm of solidstate inorganic lithium-ion-conducting electrolyte materials. In this introduction,we focus on the role of rare earths in solid conductors for lithium ion, especially in a few most studied systems such as perovskites, garnets, silicates, borohydride and the recently reported halides in which rare earths act as a key framing component.Besides, the effect of rare earths as dopants is also discussed in some recently studied systems.Valence, coordination, and size are the most important factors that influence the crystal structure and property of these lithium ion conductors. The aim of this review is to highlight the great potentials of these unique elements of rare earths, and to help improve the performance of existing materials and explore new applications in the development of new LIBs with high performances. | Qian Zhang Zhiqing Gao Xiaomeng Shi Chao Zhang Kang Liu Jun Zhang Liang Zhou Chunjie Ma Yaping Du | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,1: | 2
All in one theranostic nanoplatform enables efficient anti-tumor peptide I delivery for triple-modal imaging guided cancer therapy显示文摘Developing a reliable system to efficiently and safely deliver peptide drugs into tumor tissues still remains a great challenge since the instability of peptide drugs and low ability to traverse the cell membrane. Herein, we constructed a multifunctional nanoplatform based on porous europium/gadolinium (Eu/Gd)-doped NaLa(MoO4)2 nanoparticles (NLM NPs) to deliver antitumor peptide of B-cell lymphoma/leukemia-2-like protein 11 (BIM) for cancer therapy. The porous NLM NPs exhibited inherent photoluminescent, magnetic and X-ray absorbable properties, which enable them for triple-modal bioimaging, including fluorescence, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). This triple-modal bioimaging can contribute to monitoring NLM NPs biodistribution and guiding therapy in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, the NLM NPs showed negligible cytotoxicity in vitro and tissue toxicity in vivo. Importantly, NLM NPs could load the antitumor peptide of BIM and efficiently improve the resistance of peptide drugs to proteolysis. The BIM peptide was efficiently delivered into the tumor cells by NLM NPs, which can inhibit the growth and promote the apoptosis of cancer cells in vitro, significantly inhibit the tumor growth in vivo. Notably, NLM-BIM theranostic nanoplatform exhibits low systemic toxicity and fewer side effects in vivo. The NLM NPs can serve as a promising multifunctional peptide delivery nanoplatform for multi-modal bioimaging and cancer therapy. | Xiaoyan Qu Zhengqing Liu Bohan Ma Na Li Hongyang Zhao Tian Yang Yumeng Xue Xiaozhi Zhang Yongping Shao Ying Chang Jun Xu Bo Lei Yaping Du | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,3: | 2
High-gain integrated in-line few-mode amplifier enabling 3840-km long-haul transmission显示文摘An integrated few-mode erbium-doped fiber amplifier(FM-EDFA)with high modal gain is suitable for the in-line amplification in mode-division multiplexing transmission(MDM)systems. We first experimentally demonstrate a dual-stage integrated FM-EDFA supporting three linear polarization modes.Consisting of integrated passive components with low insertion losses, the FM-EDFA has a similar structure and performance to widely used commercial single-mode EDFAs.The averaged modal gain of 25 dB,the differential modal gain(DMG)of<1.1 dB,and noise figures of 5–7 dB are simultaneously achieved. In addition, the DMG of the 3M-EDF itself is~0.3 dB.Moreover,an MDM transmission experiment with the in-line few-mode amplification by our proposed FM-EDFA over a 3840-km few-mode fiber link for a 28-Gbaud quadrature phase-shift keying(QPSK)signal is demonstrated. | TAo Xu TIANYU GAO YANZE WANG WENHAO LI WEI LI CHENG Du ZHIQUN YANG YAPING LIU LIN ZHANG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,12: | 2
Reducing SU-8 hygroscopic swelling by ultrasonic treatment显示文摘The volume expansion of SU-8 resist brings serious dimensional errors to electroformed structures. Two approaches have been proposed to reduce resist distortions during electroforming:electroforming at room temperature and adding auxiliary features for mask patterns. However, the former method induces higher internal stresses in the electroformed metal layers. And the latter method makes it difficult to predict the expansion behaviors of the resists. In the paper, the thermal expansion of the SU-8 mould is calculated by ANSYS firstly, and the lower thermal expansion value indicates that hygroscopic swelling plays a leading role in SU-8 mould distortions. An original technique is presented to reduce SU-8 hygroscopic swelling by ultrasonic treatment. The dimensional errors of the electroformed structure fabricated on the ultrasonic treatment mould are 50% lower than the one without ultrasonic treatment.Simulation of hygroscopic swelling is conducted by finite element analysis, and the results indicate that the hygroscopic strain ε of SU-8 after electroforming is declined from 6.8% to 3.1% because of ultrasonic. The measurements show that ultrasonic treatment increased the water contact angle of cured SU-8 from 70.8?to 74.9?.Based on these results, the mechanism of ultrasonic effect on hygroscopic swelling is proposed from the view of ultrasonic vibration decreasing the number of hydroxyl groups in SU-8.The research presents a novel method to improve the precisions of electroformed structures. It has no influence on the internal stresses of final structures and does not increase the complexities of mask layouts. | Du Liqun Zhang Benzhuang Liu Yaping | 2010 | Nano-Micro Letters2010,2,3: | 2
Power transformer fault diagnosis considering data imbalance and data set fusion显示文摘Improving the accuracy of transformer dissolved gas analysis is always an important demand for power companies. However, the requirement for large numbers of fault samples becomes an obstacle to this demand. This article creatively uses a large number of health data, which is much easier to obtain by power companies,to improve diagnosis accuracy.Comprehensive investigations from the view of both data set and methodology to deal with this problem are presented.A data set consists of 9595 health samples and 993 fault samples is used for analysis. The characteristics of the data set and the influence of the health data on diagnostic accuracy are discussed. The performance of many state‐of‐art algorithms that handle the imbalanced prob-lem is evaluated.Meanwhile,an efficient fault diagnosis algorithm named self‐paced ensemble(SPE)is presented. In SPE,classification hardness is proposed to include the data characteristic in the classification. This method can guarantee the diversity of the data set and keep high performance.According to the experiment results, the superior of SPE is confirmed and also proves that involving more health samples can improve transformer diagnosis when fault data are limited. | Yang Zhang Hong Cai Chen Yaping Du Min Chen Jie Liang Jianhong Li Xiqing Fan Xin Yao | 2021 | High Voltage2021,6,3: | 1
