1Evolutionary decision-makings for the dynamic weapon-target assignment problem显示文摘The dynamic weapon-target assignment (DWTA) problem is an important issue in the field of military command and control. An asset-based DWTA optimization model was proposed with four kinds of constraints considered, including capability constraints, strategy constraints, resource constraints and engagement feasibility constraints. A general 'virtual' representation of decisions was presented to facilitate the generation of feasible decisions. The representation is in essence the permutation of all assignment pairs. A construction procedure converts the permutations into real feasible decisions. In order to solve this problem, three evolutionary decision-making algorithms, including a genetic algorithm and two memetic algorithms, were developed. 2GENERALIZED LANDSCAPE THEORY:AGENT-BASED APPROACH TO ALLIANCE FORMATIONS IN CIVIL AVIATION INDUSTRY显示文摘The purpose of this paper is to generalize Landscape theory proposed by R. Axelrod and, then, to apply it to the civil aviation industry for simulating alliance formations in it. Landscape theory provides a well-known agent-based simulation model for analyzing alliance (or coalition) formation process. When a set N of agents or autonomous decision makers is given, the theory assumes that each agent tries to make a coalition in such a way that the resulting alliance minimizes its frustration. The theory is essentially based on two premises. One is that a propensity is symmetric, i.e., the propensity of agent i toward j is exactly the same as that of j toward i for any agents i and j in N. The other is that the number of alliances is restricted to two, i.e., at any moment N is partitioned into two parties. Though the two basic premises underpin the theory and make the model simple and operational, they do not always reflect alliance formation processes in a realistic way. A generalized Landscape theory that this paper proposes removes them and allows asymmetric propensity and existence of alliances of any number. Since the premises are essential for the model, the generalization requires a drastic reconstruction of the whole idea of the theory. Finally, we analyze a real alliance formation process in the civil aviation industry. 3Statistical learning makes the hybridization of particle swarm and differential evolution more efficient-A novel hybrid optimizer显示文摘This brief paper reports a hybrid algorithm we developed recently to solve the global optimization problems of multimodal functions,by combining the advantages of two powerful population-based metaheuristics--differential evolution (DE) and particle swarm optimization (PSO). In the hybrid de-noted by DEPSO,each individual in one generation chooses its evolution method,DE or PSO,in a statistical learning way. The choice depends on the relative success ratio of the two methods in a previous learning period. The proposed DEPSO is compared with its PSO and DE parents,two advanced DE variants one of which is suggested by the originators of DE,two advanced PSO variants one of which is acknowledged as a recent standard by PSO community,and also a previous DEPSO. 5A CLASS OF GENERALIZED MULTIPROCESSOR SCHEDULING PROBLEMS显示文摘The paper discusses a class of generalized multiprocessor scheduling problems which is to arrange some independent jobs on almost identical processors. Different from the classical multiprocessor scheduling, each job may only be processed by some processors, not all. In this paper, we first prove that the problems of minimization makespan and minimization total weighted completion time can be solved by the polynomial algorithms if all processing time are unit time. Then for arbitrary processing time, we try to analyze the worst performance of list schedule (LS) method and longest processing time(LPT) method when there are only two machines involved.
