1Sample maturation calculated using Raman spectroscopic parameters for solid organics: Methodology and geological applications显示文摘The shape and shift of Raman peak of solid organics prove to be capable of revealing atomic and molecular level vibration information of aromatic ring structure and its relationship with sample maturation. Raman 'D' peaks and 'G' peaks of a series of continuously maturated coal samples were measured, and the inter-peak intervals (G-D) and peak height ratios (Dh/Gh) were derived and correlated with the vitrinite reflectance (vRo%) of standard coal samples. As a result, two formulae were established by using the two Raman indices for calculation of Raman reflectance (RmcRo%), which is equivalent to vitrinite reflectance. The formula for calculating Raman reflectance indicative of organic maturation using Raman shift inter-peak interval (G-D) is RmcRo%=0.0537d(G-D)-11.21, which is mainly applicable to matured to highly matured carbonized samples of solid organics; The formula for calculating Raman reflectance indicative of organic maturation using Raman peak height ratio (Dh/Gh) is RmcRo%=1.1659h (Dh/Gh)+2.7588, which is mainly applicable to carbonized samples of solid organics that are over matured or going to be turned into granulated graphite. 2Origin of natural sulphur-bearing immiscible inclusions and H_2S in oolite gas reservoir, Eastern Sichuan显示文摘Based on results of microscopic observation and laser Raman analysis about fluid in- clusions, multiple special forms of immiscible inclusions that contain sulphur, liquid hydrocarbon, bi- tumen, etc. were discovered in samples collected from the H2S gas reservoir-containing carbonates in the Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation in the Jinzhu-Luojia area, Kai County, Sichuan Province. Based on the lithology and burial history of the strata involved as well as measurement results of homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions, bitumen reflectivity, etc., it is concluded that the H2S in the gas reservoir resulted from the thermal reaction between hydrocarbons in reservoir and CaSO4 in the gypsum-bearing dolostone section at the high temperature (140℃―170℃) oil-cracked gas for- mation stage in Late Cretaceous. Thereafter, research on a great number of immiscible inclusions in the reservoir reveals that elemental sulphur resulted from oxidation of part of the earlier-formed H2S and further reaction between sulphates, hydrocarbons and H2S in geological fluids in H2S-bearing gas reservoir at a temperature of 86℃―89℃ and a pressure of 340×105Pa and during the regional uplift stage as characterized by temperature decrease and pressure decrease in Tertiary. 3Dating formation of natural gas pools using fluid inclusion data from reservoirs显示文摘A method has been suggested which is based on the homogenization temperatures and other data of fluid inclusions from a reservoir rock, with the combination of burial and geothermal history of the hosted rock, to date the gas reservoir formation. On the basis of this, a case study of the Carboniferous-Permian gas pools in the Ordos Basin has been conducted. 4The generation and accumulation of natural gas from Yinan 2 gas pool in Kuqa Depression显示文摘By using the methods of hydrocarbon generation kinetics and carbon isotope kinetics, combined with geological background of natural gas pool formation, the generation and accumulation of natural gas from Yinan 2 gas pool was studied in Kuqa Depression of the Tarim Basin. Natural gas of Yinan 2 gas pool is mainly derived from Middle and Lower Jurassic coal-bearing source rocks, and generally belongs to long time-accumulated gas. It is suggested that Yinan 2 gas is chiefly accumulated in the last 5 Ma, its Ro ranges from 1.25% to 1.95%, and the loss rate of natural gas is about 25%-30%. 5A new method to reconstruct hydrocarbon-generating histories of source rocks in a petroleum-bearing basin——the method of geological and geochemical sections显示文摘Via investigating typical Palaeozoic and Mesozoic petroleum-bearing basins in China by using thermal maturation theories of organic matter to improve the conventional Karweil’s method, a new method to reconstruct hydrocarbon-generating histories of source rocks has been suggested. This method, combining geological background with geochemical information makes the calculated VRo closer to the measured one. Moreover, it enables us to make clear the hydrocarbon generation trend of source rocks during geological history. 6Observation of hydrocarbon generation and migration of highly-matured carbonates by means of laser-induced fluorescence microscopy显示文摘Some important information on hydrocarbon generation, inclusion and migration inhighly-matured carbonates of lower Palaeozoic age from the Ordos Basin and Tarim Basin has been analyzed by a newly-combined laser-induced fluorescence microscope (LFM) designed by our laboratory. The following information has been obtained from the lower Ordovician lamellar carbonates with equivalent vitrinite reflectance (Ro) as high as 1.6%-1.7% and residual TOC of 0.14%-0.35% from the Ordos Basin: wide occurrences of oil and source macerals with strong fluorescence, including G.Prisca alginite, lamalginite, telalginite and algae-detrinite; fluorescing asphalt among mineral crystals; some groundmass and spheroid-like reservoir bitumen with high maturation levels in the pores of dolomites. Various kinds of fluorescing organic inclusions and asphalt have been found in the carbonates, calcareous shales and silt-shales with high maturation levels from the Cambrian-Ordovician strata in the Tarim Basin. 9Thermal maturation as revealed by micro-Raman spectroscopy of mineral-organic aggregation (MOA) in marine shales with high and over maturities显示文摘Laser Raman spectroscopy of organic matter in coals and sedimentary rocks has been increasingly investigated to assess thermal maturity.Pure organic matter such as vitrinite and solid bitumen,as well as isolated kerogen are definitely selected for this purpose,but there has been no systematic report on the Raman spectral parameters directly based on mineral-organic aggregations(MOA)in shales.In this paper,the Raman spectral characteristics and parameters of MOA in two sets of marine shale samples from southern China with either different TOC contents(TOC=0.10–4.59%)or different maturities(BRo=1.71–4.57%)were investigated.It was found that the Raman technique is very sensitive to the organic matter in MOA.As the TOC content of the shales reaches about 0.60%,perfect Raman spectra with D and G bands derived from organic matter in MOAwere obtained,and the Raman parameters of MOA are in good agreement with those of its associated solid bitumen,and can indicate the thermal maturity just like those of solid bitumen.Using the Raman parameters of MOA is a potential alternative way to estimate maturity levels of high and over mature shales,especially those lower Paleozoic and Precambrian shales that lack macerals suitable for reflectance or Raman measurements.Xianming XIAO Qin ZHOU Peng CHENG Jian SUN Dehan LIU Hui TIAN 2020Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,10:3

17Simulation experiments on secondary thermal stress of biodegraded bituminous sandstones显示文摘Secondary variation of reservoir is a hot problem in petroleum geochemistry field. Several kinds of secondary variations have taken place after the formation of bituminous sandstones in the Tarim Basin including biodegra-dation, washing, dissipation and secondary thermal stress. Biodegraded bituminous sandstones were used in the experiment. Pyrolysis experiment has been performed in a closed system, simulating secondary thermal stress with continual burial of Silurian bituminous sandstones which may cause the changes in molecular compositions, carbon isotope and physical properties of bituminous sandstones. The results are as follows: (i) Gases are mainly product during the experiment and carbon isotope of gas is lighter. (ii) Yield of C6+ hydrocarbon is relative smaller, and yielded oil is mainly light oil.
