1Trending IC design directions in 2022显示文摘For the non-stop demands for a better and smarter society, the number of electronic devices keeps increasing exponentially;and the computation power, communication data rate, smart sensing capability and intelligence are always not enough. Hardware supports software, while the integrated circuit(IC) is the core of hardware. In this long review paper, we summarize and discuss recent trending IC design directions and challenges, and try to give the readers big/cool pictures on each selected small/hot topics. We divide the trends into the following six categories, namely, 1) machine learning and artificial intelligence(AI) chips, 2) communication ICs, 3) data converters, 4) power converters, 5) imagers and range sensors, 6) emerging directions. 2New optimized flux difference schemes for improving high-order weighted compact nonlinear scheme with applications显示文摘To improve the spectral characteristics of the high-order weighted compact nonlinear scheme(WCNS),optimized flux difference schemes are proposed.The disadvantages in previous optimization routines,i.e.,reducing formal orders,or extending stencil widths,are avoided in the new optimized schemes by utilizing fluxes from both cell-edges and cell-nodes.Optimizations are implemented with Fourier analysis for linear schemes and the approximate dispersion relation(ADR)for nonlinear schemes.Classical difference schemes are restored near discontinuities to suppress numerical oscillations with use of a shock sensor based on smoothness indicators.The results of several benchmark numerical tests indicate that the new optimized difference schemes outperform the classical schemes,in terms of accuracy and resolution for smooth wave and vortex,especially for long-time simulations.Using optimized schemes increases the total CPU time by less than 4%.Shichao ZHENG Xiaogang DENG Dongfang WANG 2021Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2021,42,3:2
3Finite-Time Sideslip Differentiator-Based LOS Guidance for Robust Path Following of Snake Robots显示文摘This paper presents a finite-time sideslip differentiator-based line-of-sight(LOS)guidance method for robust path following of snake robots.Firstly,finite-time stable sideslip differentiator and adaptive LOS guidance method are proposed to counteract sideslip drift caused by cross-track velocity.The proposed differentiator can accurately observe the cross-track error and sideslip angle for snake robots to avoid errors caused by calculating sideslip angle approximately.In our method,the designed piecewise auxiliary function guarantees the finite-time stability of position errors.Secondly,for the case of external disturbances and state constraints,a Barrier Lyapunov functionbased backstepping adaptive path following controller is presented to improve the robot’s robustness.The uniform ultimate boundedness of the closed-loop system is proved by analyzing stability.Additionally,a gait frequency adjustment-based virtual velocity control input is derived to achieve the exponential convergence of the tangential velocity.At last,the availability and superiority of this work are shown through simulation and experiment results.Yang Xiu Dongfang Li Miaomiao Zhang Hongbin Deng Rob Law Yun Huang Edmond Q.Wu Xin Xu 2023IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2023,10,1:1

9Biomarker-targeted fluorescent probes for breast cancer imaging显示文摘Breast cancer has become a common tumor worldwide which seriously endangers people's health. Early diagnosis and treatment are particularly urgent in order to reduce the onset risk, mortality, and prolong the five-year survival rate. Therefore, we need a kind of diagnosis and treatment technology with high speci ficity, sensitivity and selectivity. In recent years, because of its unique properties in biological applications, fluorescence imaging has become an attractive research subject. Fluorescence imaging offers innovative ideas of targetable recognition of breast cancer cells, breast cancer imaging in vivo animal models, anticancer drugs delivery for guiding the mammary surgery via a noninvasive way with high sensitively and speci fically. 10Development of plant cytosine base editors with the Cas12a system显示文摘Base editors of the Cas9 system have been widely used for precise nucleotide substitution in crops. In this study, Cas12a was applied to construct plant cytosine base editors(CBEs). The main elements of Cas12aCBEs were engineered and their efficiency was evaluated in stably transformed rice cells. An optimized ttCas12a-hyA3Bctd editor, consisting of a LbCas12a variant carrying catalytic inactive D832A and temperature-tolerance D156R double mutations, a truncated human APOBEC3B deaminase, a human RAD51 single-stranded DNA-binding domain, and double copies of UGI, outperformed other Cas12aCBEs in base editing efficiency. In T0transgenic rice plants, ttCas12a-hyA3Bctd edited an average of42.01% and a maximum of 68.75% of lines at six genomic targets. A-to-G conversions were generated in rice by an adenine base editor with a similar architecture to the optimized CBE.
