| 1 | Object-based image analysis for mapping geomorphic zones of coral reefs in the Xisha Islands, China显示文摘Mapping regional spatial patterns of coral reef geomorphology provides the primary information to understand the constructive processes in the reef ecosystem. However, this work is challenged by the pixel-based image classification method for its comparatively low accuracy. In this paper, an object-based image analysis(OBIA)method was presented to map intra-reef geomorphology of coral reefs in the Xisha Islands, China using Landsat 8satellite imagery. Following the work of the Millennium Coral Reef Mapping Project, a regional reef class hierarchy with ten geomorphic classes was first defined. Then, incorporating the hierarchical concept and integrating the spectral and additional spatial information such as context, shape and contextual relationships, a large-scale geomorphic map was produced by OBIA with accuracies generally more than 80%. | 2 | Volumetric modulation arc radiotherapy with flattening filter-free beams compared with conventional beams for nasopharyngeal carcinoma:a feasibility study显示文摘There is increasing interest in the clinical use of flattening filter-free(FFF) beams.In this study,we aimed to investigate the dosimetric characteristics of volumetric modulated arc radiotherapy(VMAT) with FFF beams for nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Ten NPC patients were randomly selected to undergo a RapidArc plan with either FFF beams(RA-FFF) or conventional beams(RA-C).The doses to the planning target volumes(PTVs),organs at risk(OARs),and normal tissues were compared.The technical delivery parameters for RapidArc plans were also assessed to compare the characteristics of FFF and conventional beams.Both techniques delivered adequate doses to PTVs.For PTVs,RA-C delivered lower maximum and mean doses and improved conformity and homogeneity compared with RA-FFF.Both techniques provided similar maximum doses to the optic nerves and lenses.For the brain stem,spinal cord,larynx,parotid glands,oral cavity,and skin,RA-FFF showed significant dose increases compared to RA-C.The dose to normal tissue was lower in RA-FFF.The monitor units(MUs) were(536 ± 46) MU for RA-FFF and(501± 25) MU for RA-C.The treatment duration did not significantly differbetween plans.Although both treatment plans could meet clinical needs,RA-C is dosimetrically superior to RA-FFF for NPC radiotherapy. | Mingzan Zhuang Tuodan Zhang Zhijian Chen Zhixiong Lin Derui Li Xun Peng Qingchun Qiu Renhua Wu | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer2013,32,7: | 3 |

| 4 | Vibro-acoustic performance of steel–concrete composite and prestressed concrete box girders subjected to train excitations显示文摘Owning to good mechanical properties,steel–concrete composite(SCC)and prestressed concrete(PC)box girders are the types of elevated structures used most in urban rail transit.However,their vibro-acoustic differences are yet to be explored in depth,while structure-radiated noise is becoming a main concern in noise-sensitive environments.In this work,numerical simulation is used to investigate the vibration and noise characteristics of both types of box girders induced by running trains,and the numerical procedure is verified with data measured from a PC box girder.The mechanism of vibration transmission and vibro-acoustic comparisons between SCC and PC box girders are investigated in detail,revealing that more vibration and noise arise from SCC box girders.The vibration differences between them are around 7.7 dB(A)at the bottom plate,19.3 dB(A)at the web,and 6.7 dB(A)at the flange,while for structure-radiated noise,the difference is around 5.9 dB(A).Then,potential vibroacoustic control strategies for SCC box girders are discussed.As the vibro-acoustic responses of two types of girders are dominated by the force transmitted to the bridge deck,track isolation is better than structural enhancement.It is shown that using a floating track slab can make the vibration and noise of an SCC box girder lower than those of a PC box girder.However,structural enhancement for the SCC box girder is extremely limited in effects.The six proposed structural enhancement measures reduce vibration by only 1.1–3.6 dB(A) and noise by up to1.5 dB(A). | Xun Zhang Hao Luo Derui Kong Tao Chen Xi Li | 2021 | Railway Engineering Science2021,29,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen production performance of pillararene-doped mesoporous TiO_(2) with extended visible-light response显示文摘Pillararenes are a new type of supramolecular hosts,and they have been widely applied in drug delivery,catalysis,separation process,and sensors.However,they have rarely been used to produce hydrogen.Here,we report that pillararenes were used as functional molecules to explore photocatalysts and efficiently promoted hydrogen production from water.The most common and easily synthesized pdimethoxy pillar[5]arene(PI-OMe) was employed to form an organic-inorganic hybrid material with titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),denoted as PI-OMe-TiO_(2).using a convenient sol-gel method.When the material was loaded with Pt nanoparticles,the resulting Pt/PI-OMe-TiO_(2)had a good activity and stability in catalyzing water splitting to produce hydrogen under visible light.The optimized catalyst Pt/PI-OMe-TiO_(2)(5.2 wt%)had a photocatalytic hydrogen production rate of 1736 μmol g^(-1)h^(-1) under visible light(λ> 420 nm)irradiation.The catalyst with a Pt loading of 0.5 wt% and a PI-OMe content of 5.2 wt% also showed good long-term durability after 10 cycles of 50 h testing.The total amount of hydrogen produced was65.01 mmol/g,and the corresponding turnover number(TON) value was 2084.Our findings suggest that pillararene derivatives are promising functional molecules to make efficient and stable hybrid photocatalysts with TiO_(2)and open a new door to hydrogen production using visible light. | Haimei Wu Mengyuan Wang Fang Jing Derui Kong Yifan Chen Chunman Jia Jianwei Li | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4: | 1 |
| 10 | Microstructure of Co-Ni-Al2O3 Composite Coatings by Electroforming显示文摘The metal matrix composite coatings of Co-Ni-Al2O3 were studied by electrolytic codeposition of Co-Ni alloys and Al2O3 on a Cu substrate from a sulfamate electrolyte containing Al2O3 particles. It was illustrated from the examined results of SEM, AFM and XRD that surface morphology and microstructure of Co-Ni-Al2O3 coatings appear to be mainly influenced by variations in Co content. The high Co content coatings with hcp lattice structure have a more uniform and fine structure than that of low Co content coatings with fcc lattice structure. | 12 | Two Hypotheses of “Melanization” on Electrogalvanized Steel Surface显示文摘Melanization is harmful to the lightness of galvanized steel surface and also reduces the bonding force between a paint coat and the steel sheet. Experimental results showed that the hypothesis of Zn-Pb codeposition does not hold true, while the fact that PbSO4 micelles in sulfate bath settle on the coating surface support the second hypothesis.
