1Effect of Different Aging Processes on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of a Novel Al–Cu–Li Alloy显示文摘The effects of different aging processes on the microstructure and mechanical properties of a novel Al–Cu–Li alloy have been investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. It is found that the tensile properties of a novel Al–Cu–Li alloy are sensitive to aging processes, which correspond to different microstructures. σ(Al_5Cu_6Mg_2) and T_1(Al_2CuLi) phases are the major precipitates for the alloy in T6 aging condition(165 ℃/60 h). After duplex aging condition(150 ℃/24 h + 180 ℃/12 h), σ, θ'(Al_2Cu) and T_1 phases are detected. Only the T_1 phases can be found in the T8 state alloy(6% pre-strain+135 ℃/60 h). 2Iodine biofortification of vegetable plants-An innovative method for iodine supplementation显示文摘To elevate the iodine level in edible plants has been shown to be an excellent approach to correct iodine deficiency.We have proposed an innovative approach to produce iodine supplementation by growing vegetables on soils with algal-based iodized organic fertilizer.Ten species of vegetables were tested.The biological absorption and migration of the iodine within the vegetable plants were revealed using microscopy with silver iodide precipitation technique.The results show that the absorption of iodine by the vegetable increases with increasing amount of the algal-based iodized organic fertilizer in general.And the uptake of iodine by leaf vegetable is significantly greater than that by fruit vegetable.Distribution of iodine in various plant organs shows a trend of decreasing iodine concentration from root,leaf,stalk,to fruit.A similar of decreasing concentration can also be found in various cells(cytoplasm>cytoderm>organelles).The exploration of the iodine uptake and biogeochemistry migration mechanisms provides an important scientific foundation for establishing a new method of producing a natural iodine supplementation by iodine biofortification of vegetables.WENG HuanXin HONG ChunLai XIA TianHong BAO LiTing LIU HuiPing LI DeWang 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,18:3
3Efficient CO2 to CO conversion at moderate temperatures enabled by the cobalt and copper co-doped ferrite oxygen carrier显示文摘Chemical looping technology holds great potential on efficient CO2 splitting with much higher CO production and CO2 splitting rate than photocatalytic processes.Conventional oxygen carrier requires high temperature(typically 850–1000°C)to ensure sufficient redox activity,but the stable and high CO2 conversion is favored at a lower temperature,leading to the degrading on the reaction kinetics as well as the low CO production and CO2 splitting rate.In this paper,we prepared several ternary spinels and demonstrated their performance for chemical looping CO2 splitting at moderate temperatures.Using the promotion effect of Cu to cobalt ferrite reduction and reversible phase change of the reduced metals,Cu0.4 Co0.6 Fe2 O4 exhibits high CO2 splitting rate(144.6μmol g–1 min–1)and total CO production(9100μmol g–1)at 650°C.The high performance of this earth-abundant spinel material is also consistent in repeated redox cycles,enabling their potential in industrial use.Yu Qiu Li Ma Dewang Zeng Min Li Dongxu Cui Yulin Lv Shuai Zhang Rui Xiao 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,7:2
4Review of recent progress in studies on noise emanating from rail transit bridges显示文摘In recent years, there has been rapid growth of Chinese rail transit networks. Many of these networks require elevated bridges. This results in a bridge-borne noise source, which occurs in addition to the main noise source(i.e., wheel–rail interactions). Bridge-borne noise is attracting increasing attention because of its low-frequency noise characteristics. This review paper first analyzes the space distribution, spectral characteristics, and sound pressure levels of noise radiated by all-concrete, steel–concrete composite, and all-steel bridges, mainly according to experimental studies. Second, this paper reviews existing theoretical prediction models of noise emanating from bridges: the semianalytical method, the Rayleigh integral method, the boundary element method, and statistical energy analysis. Several case studies are reviewed, and their results are discussed. 5Efficient hydrogen production through the chemical looping redox cycle of YSZ supported iron oxides显示文摘The chemical looping process,where an oxygen carrier is reduced and oxidized in a cyclic manner,offers a promising option for hydrogen production through splitting water because of the much higher water splitting efficiency than solar electrocatalytic and photocatalytic process.A typical oxygen carrier has to comprise a significant amount of inert support,to maintain stability in multiple redox cycles,thereby resulting in a trade-off between the reaction reactivity and stability.Herein,we proposed the use of ion-conductive yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ)support Fe_(2)O_(3)to prepare oxygen carriers materials.The obtained Fe_(2)O_(3)/YSZ composites showed high reactivity and stability.Particularly,Fe_(2)O_(3)/YSZ-20(oxygen storage capacity,24.13%)exhibited high hydrogen yield of~10.30 mmol g^(-1) and hydrogen production rate of~0.66 mmol g^(-1) min^(-1) which was twice as high as that of Fe_(2)O_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3).Further,the transient pulse test indicated that active oxygen diffusion was the ratelimiting step during the redox process.The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)measurement revealed that the YSZ support addition facilitated oxygen diffusion of materials,which contributed to the improved hydrogen production performance.The support effect obtained in this work provides a potentially efficient route for the modification of oxygen carrier materials.Li Ma Yu Qiu Min Li Dongxu Cui Shuai Zhang Dewang Zeng Rui Xiao 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,6:1
6Preparation of a gene-engineering mutant of bacteriorhodopsin BR-D96V and corresponding poly(vinyl alcohol)-based functional composite films显示文摘Bacteriorhodopsin(BR)exhibits,as a membrane protein in Halobacterium salinarum,unique photoresponsive behaviors,and shows promise as a functional information material.A new mutant of BR with the 96th aspartic acid replaced by valine(BR-D96V)was obtained and then a composite film of BR-D96V in a synthetic polymer matrix was prepared in this research.The mutant BR-D96V was expressed in a bacterio-opsin deficient halobacterial strain(L33)by gene engineering.Although valine is very hydrophobic,this point mutant keeps the basic biological activities,namely,photoelectric and photochromic responses.Nevertheless,the lifetime of M intermediate in the BR mutant is nearly two orders of magnitude longer than that of wild-type BR in neutral aqueous solution,which benefits its potential application as an information material.The M lifetime is further significantly prolonged after embedding BR-D96V into poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA).It was also found that BR-D96V is very sensitive to water content in comparison with wild-type BR and another BR mutant.ZHAO YingChun MING Ming HONG Jie MA DeWang WU Jia LI QingGuo HUANG WeiDa DING JianDong 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,33:1
7Effect of dose rate on the characteristics of dislocation loops in palladium:In-situ TEM analysis during 30 keV H_(2)^(+)irradiation显示文摘Ion irradiation is usually used to simulate neutron irradiation to accelerate the evaluation of the irradia-tion behavior of reactor materials.However,the validity of using a high damage rate of ion irradiation to simulate a low damage rate of neutron irradiation has always been a controversial topic.Here,the effect of two dose rates(2.94×10^(-6) and 7.35×10^(-5) dpa s^(-1))on the characteristics and evolution of dislo-cation loops in palladium was studied in situ during 30 keV H2+irradiation using transmission electron microscopy.The dose rate obviously affected the nucleation rate and growth rate of dislocation loops,the types(Frank loops or perfect loops)of dislocation loops,and the irradiation hardening and total damage obtained from the product of average loop size and loop density.At the same irradiation dose,a high dose rate would lead to high loop density,small average loop size,low loop growth rate,and low irra-diation hardening and damage induced by loops in pure Pd.Meanwhile,it was found for the first time that a high dose rate was beneficial to the generation of perfect dislocation loops.The effect of dose rate was attributed to the different dynamic equilibrium results between the effective generation rate of point defects and their absorption rate by existing sinks.The present results show that the effect of dose rate should be considered when using ion irradiation to simulate neutron irradiation to evaluate the irradiation damage to materials.Dewang Cui Ziqi Cao Yifan Ding Yipeng Li Guang Ran 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,19:0

10Earth abundant spinel for hydrogen production in a chemical looping scheme at 550℃显示文摘Operating chemical looping process at mid-temperatures(550–750℃)presents exciting potential for the stable production of hydrogen.However,the reactivity of oxygen carriers is compromised by the detrimental effect of the relatively low temperatures on the redox kinetics.Although the reactivity at mid-temperature can be improved by the addition of noble metals,the high cost of these noble metal containing materials significantly hindered their scalable applications.In the current work,we propose to incorporate earth-abundant metals into the ironbased spinel for hydrogen production in a chemical looping scheme at mid-temperatures.Mn0.2Co0.4Fe2.4O4 shows a high hydrogen production performance at the average rate of~0.62 mmol g^(-1) min^(-1) and a hydrogen yield of~9.29 mmol g^(-1) with satisfactory stability over 20 cycles at 550℃.The mechanism studies manifest that the enhanced hydrogen production performance is a result of the improved oxygen-ion conductivity to enhance reduction reaction and high reactivity of reduced samples with steam.The performance of the oxygen carriers in this work is comparable to those noble-metal containing materials,enabling their potential for industrial applications.Yu Qiu Li Ma Qingfeng Kong Min Li Dongxu Cui Shuai Zhang Dewang Zeng Rui Xiao 2021Green Energy & Environment2021,6,5:0
