| 1 | Intermetallic Compounds in the Banded Structure and Their Effect on Mechanical Properties of Al/Mg Dissimilar Friction Stir Welding Joints显示文摘Dissimilar friction stir welding(FSW) between aluminum and magnesium alloy was performed, using various tool rotational speed(TRS) at a ?xed travel speed, with tool offset to aluminum to investigate the formation of intermetallic compounds(IMCs) in the banded structure(BS) zone and their effect on mechanical properties. Large quantities of IMCs, in the form of alternating bands of particles or lamellae, were found in the BS zone, where drastic material intermixing occurred during FSW. The BS microstructural characters in terms of the morphology of the bands and the quantity and distribution of IMC particles varied with TRS. All welds exhibited brittle fracture mode with their fracture paths propagating mainly in/along the IMCs in the BS. It is shown that these BS microstructural characters have signi?cant effect on the mechanical properties of the joints. | 15 | Rapid screening of magnetic properties in several Fe-X-Ni systems via combinatorial materials chip method显示文摘Fe-X-Ni(X=Cr,W and V)combinatorial thin-film(∼100 nm thick)materials chips covering the full composition range of ternary systems were fabricated.The crystal structure distribution was mapped by micro-beam X-ray diffractometers(XRD)and the magnetic hysteresis loops over the chip were characterized by a high-throughput magneto-optical Kerr effect(HT-MOKE)system to establish the composition-phase-magnetic properties relationships.The results showed that saturation magnetization for all systems has a strong dependency on alloying composition,and decreases with increasing dopped elements content as a general trend.Although the trend of saturation magnetization in bulk is in good agreement with that from thin films,all bulk samples show almost no coercivity,attributable to the much smaller grain size,and stronger texture in thin-film samples.Comparing the Fe-X-Ni systems under a similar condition,in the out-of-plane,Cr alloying obtained the largest coercivity(∼400 mT)followed by W alloying(∼300 mT)and then V alloying(∼200 mT).We suggest that alloying with different elements leads to the diverse orientation and crystallinity of the fcc phase resulting in different magnetic properties.Meanwhile,the effect of heat treatment on magnetic properties indicates that saturation magnetization is more closely related to the duration of heat treatment. | Cai Chen Xinyi Ji Jianhao Wang Mei Liu Yao Lu Xiaoping Wang Aimin Zhang Li Chen Xianping Dong Lanting Zhang Hong Wang | 2023 | Journal of Materiomics2023,9,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Calmodulin modulation of ion channels and receptors显示文摘Ion channels and receptors are the structural basis for neural signaling and transmission. Recently, the function of ion channels and receptors has been demonstrated to be modulated by many intracellular and extracellular chemicals and signaling molecules. Increasing evidence indicates that the complexity and plasticity of the function of central nervous system is determined by the modulation of ion channels and receptors. Among various mechanisms, Ca 2+ signaling pathways play important roles in neuronal activity and some pathological changes. Ca 2+ influx through ion channels and receptors can modulate its further influx in a feedback way or modulate other ion channels and receptors. The common feature of the modulation is that Ca 2+ /calmodulin (CaM) is the universal mediator. CaM maintains the coordination among ion channels/receptors and intracellular Ca 2+ homeostasis by feedback modulation of ion channels/receptors activity.
