| 1 | The levels, sources and reactivity of volatile organic compounds in a typical urban area of Northeast China显示文摘Air concentrations of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) were continually measured at a monitoring site in Shenyang from 20 August to 16 September 2017. The average concentrations of alkanes, alkenes, aromatics and carbonyls were 28.54, 6.30, 5.59 and9.78 ppbv, respectively. Seven sources were identified by the Positive Matrix Factorization model based on the measurement data of VOCs and CO. Vehicle exhaust contributed the most(36.15%) to the total propene-equivalent concentration of the measured VOCs,followed by combustion emission(16.92%), vegetation emission and secondary formation(14.33%), solvent usage(10.59%), petrochemical industry emission(9.89%), petrol evaporation(6.28%), and liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) usage(5.84%). Vehicle exhaust, solvent usage and combustion emission were found to be the top three VOC sources for O_3 formation potential, accounting for 34.52%, 16.55% and 11.94%, respectively. The diurnal variation of the total VOCs from each source could be well explained by their emission characteristics,e.g., the two peaks of VOC concentrations from LPG usage were in line with the cooking times for breakfast and lunch. Wind rose plots of the VOCs from each source could reveal the possible distribution of the sources around the monitoring site. | 2 | Acupoint combinations used for treatment of Alzheimer's disease: A data mining analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To identify the acupoint combinations used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease(AD).METHODS: The clinical literature regarding acupuncture and moxibustion for AD was searched and collected from databases including Chinese Biomedical Medicine, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database and PubMed. The database of acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions for AD was established by using Excel software so as to conduct the descriptive analysis, association analysis on the data.RESULTS: Baihui(GV 20), Sishencong(EX-HN 1),Shenmen(HT 7), Zusanli(ST 36), Neiguan(PC 6),Fengchi(GB 20), Taixi(KI 3), Dazhui(GV 14), Shenshu(BL 23), Sanyinjiao(SP 6), Shenting(GV 24), Fenglong(ST 40), Xuanzhong(GB 39), Shuigou(GV 26)and Taichong(LR 3) were of higher frequency in the treatment of AD with acupnucture and moxibustion. Most acupoints were selected from the Governor Vessel. The commonly used acupoints were located on the head, face, neck and lower limbs. The combination of the local acupoints with the distal ones was predominated. The crossing points among the specific points presented the advantage in the treatment. | 6 | Screening and identification of candidate Fusarium wilt-resistance genes from pumpkin显示文摘Pumpkin(Cucurbita moschata)has been widely used as cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.)rootstock to defend against Fusarium wilt(FW)and increase cucumber yields and profits.However,the resistance genes and mechanisms underlying the FW tolerance in pumpkin are poorly understood.Here we analyzed the transcriptome of pumpkin inoculated with the cucumber FW causal agent Fusarium oxysporum f.sp.cucumerinum(Foc),and obtained 3152 and 4735 upregulated genes induced by Foc at 24h after Foc inoculation compared with at 0h and 24h non-inoculated control,respectively.Next,404 common differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened using the criterion log_(2) FPKM(fold change)≥2.In total,206 of 404 DEGs were predominantly expressed in roots,which is the first tissue that Foc contacts and invades.140 DEGs were selected and classified into four groups(pathogenesis resistance,secondary metabolism-related,transcription factor and signal binding)based on their functional descriptions.Then,29 genes having high expression levels were selected to investigate the expression patterns induced by a Foc inoculation.Among them,16 genes were significantly induced by Foc and showed high expression levels at various treatment time points.These candidate genes may act as positive regulators of FW resistance in pumpkin and provide effective resources for improving cucumber FW resistance through breeding programs. | Jun Xu Qianqian Xian Ke Wang Jingping Dong Chaoyang Zhang Shengli Du Xuewen Xu Xuehao Chen | 2022 | Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,5: | 0 |
