| 1 | case of familial hyperlipoproteinemia type Ⅲ hypertriglyceridemia induced acute pancreatitis: role for outpatient apheresis maintenance therapy显示文摘Hypertriglyceridemic pancreatitis(HTGP) accounts for up to 10% of acute pancreatitis presentations in nonpregnant individuals and is the third most common cause of acute pancreatitis after alcohol and gallstones. There are a number of retrospective studies and case reports that have suggested a role for apheresis and insulin infusion in the acute inpatient setting. We report a case of HTGP in a male with hyperlipoproteinemia type Ⅲ who was treated successfully with insulin and apheresis on the initial inpatient presentation followed by bi-monthly outpatient maintenance apheresis sessions for the prevention of recurrent HTGP. We also reviewed the literature for the different inpatient and outpatient management modalities of HTGP. | 2 | Bleeding risk assessment in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome显示文摘Nowadays,elderly people represent a growing population segment with a well known increased risk of both ischemic and bleeding events.Current acute coronary syndrome guidelines,strongly recommend dual antiplatelet therapy(DAPT)with few specific references for aged patients due to lack of evidence.Patients aged>75 years are misrepresented in the classic derivation trials cohorts.Strategies to reduce the bleeding risk in this group of patients are urgently needed for the daily clinical practice.Identify the specific age related bleeding risk factors and the importance of an integral geriatric assessment remains challenging.Some of the available in-hospital and out-hospital bleeding risk scores have shown a lower to moderate predictive ability in older patients and no specific tools are developed in elderly population.The importance of an appropriate vascular access choice,type and duration of antiplatelet drugs is crucial to reduce the bleeding risk.Increase radial approaches and short DAPT duration leads to reduce hemorrhages.One interesting subgroup of patients is those who need chronic anticoagulation therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention,due to their very high risk of bleeding.New alternatives as dual therapy with oral anticoagulation and only one antiplatlet drug should be considered.In current review,we evaluate the available evidence about bleeding risk in elderly. | Lucía Riobóo-Lestón Sergio Raposeiras-Roubin Emad Abu-Assi Andrés I?iguez-Romo | 2019 | Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2019，16，2： | 6 |
| 3 | Acaricidal activity of different extracts from Syzygium cumini L.Skeels(Pomposia) against Tetranychus urticae Koch显示文摘Objective:To investigate the acaricidal activity of different extracts from Syzygium cumini(S.cumini)(Pomposia)againsst Tetranyckus urticae Koch(71 urticae)and the biochemical changes in antioxidants enzymes.Methods:Six extracts of S.cumini(Pomposia)at concentrations of 75,150 and 300μg/mL were used to control T.urticae(Koch).Results:The ethanol extract showed the most efficient acaricidal activity agent against T.urticae(98.5%)followed by hexane extract(94.0%),ether and ethyl acetate extract(90.0%).The LC_(50)values of the promising extract-were 85.0,101.0,102.0 and 98.0μ/mL,respectively.The activities of enzymes including ascorbate peroxidase(APX),peroxidase(POD),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)in susceptible mites were increased.The activities of all antioxidant enzymes reach the maximum value in mites at LC_(50)with ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts,respectively.Conclusions:The extract of S.cumini has acaricidal acivity against T.urticae,and the ethanol extract is the most efficient. | Abd El-Moneim MR Afify Hossam S El-Beltagi Sayed A Fayed Emad A Shalaby | 2011 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2011，1，5： | 5 |
