| 1 | Effect of 1%brinzolamide and 0.5%timolol fixed combination on intraocular pressure after cataract surgery with phacoemulsification显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the effect of brinzolamide-timolol fixed combination on intraocular pressure(IOP)after cataract surgery.METHODS:The study included 92 eyes of 87 patients who underwent cataract surgery and intraocular lens implantation.Patients scheduled for phacoemulsification were assigned to 1 of 2 groups.The treatment group received 1 drop of brinzolamide-timolol fixed combination immediately after surgery,and the control group received no treatment.The IOP was measured preoperatively and at 2h and 24h postoperatively.RESULTS:The mean IOP change was lower in the treatment group than in the control group at 2h postoperatively.The difference between the mean IOP values of the two groups at 2h postoperatively was found to be statistically significant.Twenty-four hours after the surgery,the mean IOP change was still higher in the control group when compared to the treatment group.CONCLUSION:The fixed combination brinzolamidetimolol can effectively reduce IOP after cataract surgery. | Kemal rnek Nesrin Byktortop Nurgl rnek Reyhan Ogurel Inci Elif Erbahceci Zafer Onaran | 2013 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013，6，6： | 2 |

| 11 | The Influence of Heat Treatment on Interaction of Green Tea Flavonoids with Milk Proteins显示文摘Several heat treatment norms are applied in the dairy industry during the manufacture of various products. The knowledge on the influence of temperature on the proteins-flavonoid binding is critical for optimization of process conditions. The aim of this study was to establish the effect of heat treatment on the interaction between milk proteins and flavonoids and also determine when to apply heat treatment. Reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) analysis revealed that free flavonoids decreased in the presence of milk proteins and a binding ratio (%) was calculated based on this decrease. Three different heat treatment norms were selected (80, 85 and 90℃×10 min). Analyses were carried out in both sodium caseinate and skimmed milk samples to observe the possible effect of milk serum proteins on the interaction. The binding ratio between flavonoids and proteins was found to be higher in the samples where green tea extract (GTE) was added before heat treatment than in the samples where GTE was added after heat treatment in both the skimmed milk and sodium caseinate systems. | 14 | Understanding pedestrian behavior and spatial relations:A pedestrianized area in Besiktas,Istanbul显示文摘This research provides a mixed method of investigating and analyzing pedestrian behavior in pedestrianized areas,which is one of the human-based urban development practices.The relationship between pedestrian behavior and perception of the city is discussed through a combination of architect and urban planner Gordon Cullen’s theory and Space Syntax methodology.This study examines the development and implementation of the methodology to understand the relationship between pedestrian behavior and space in Besiktas Koyici settlement,Istanbul.The methodology,integrated with on-site observations(observing 10 min at five different observation points in the settlement at predetermined times on weekdays and weekends),surveys(determining pedestrian movement and perception in terms of Cullen’s theory)and spatial configuration(Space Syntax analysis(connectivity,integrity)done with DepthMapX software),aims to analyze pedestrian behavior patterns.The concepts of sense of place and content,as well as the effects of their sub-concepts on their behaviors,were revealed because of a survey conducted with students and architects of variety of educational levels who are daily users of the field.Pedestrian counting and observations were used to create density,activity,and mobility maps of the area.It has been found that pedestrianized areas have a significant impact on pedestrian behavior through influencing vitality and appeal and that Cullen’s theory may be used to analyze pedestrian behavior and perceptions of the city.The study showed that spatial configuration and Cullen’s theory effect pedestrian movement by complementing each other. | Ozge Ceylin Yıldırım Elif C¸elik | 2023 | Frontiers of Architectural Research2023，12，1： | 1 |

| 20 | Discrepancy among microsatellite instability detection methodologies in non-colorectal cancer:Report of 3 cases显示文摘BACKGROUND Microsatellite instability(MSI)is a predictive biomarker for cancer immunotherapy.The tumor-agnostic nature of MSI makes it a denominator for immunotherapy in several solid tumors.It can be assessed using next-generation sequencing(NGS),fluorescent multiplex PCR,and immunohistochemistry(IHC).CASE SUMMARY Here,we report 3 cases with discordant MSI results detected using different methods.A cholangiocellular carcinoma case revealed proficient mismatch repair(MMR)by IHC but high MSI(MSI-H)by liquid NGS.A cervical cancer case revealed deficient MMR by IHC,microsatellite stable by PCR,and MSI-H by NGS.Lastly,an endometrial cancer case revealed proficient MMR by IHC but MSI-H by NGS.CONCLUSION IHC for MMR status is the first choice due to several advantages.However,in cases of indeterminate IHC results,molecular testing by MSI-PCR is preferred.Recently,NGS-based MSI assays are being widely used to detect MSI-H tumors.All three methods have high accuracy;however,the inconsistencies between them may lead to misdiagnosis. | ElifŞenocak Taşçı İbrahim Yıldız Sibel Erdamar LeylaÖzer | 2023 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2023，11，13： | 0 |
