1Intermediate Spoofing Strategies and Countermeasures显示文摘Intermediate spoofing can impact most off-the-shelf Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS)receivers,therefore low cost detection of such spoofing is very important to protect the reliability of the GNSS receivers used in critical safety and financial applications.This paper presents two strategies to analyze attacks by intermediate spoofing attackers to identify the weaknesses of such attacks.The analyses lead to a code and carrier phase consistency detection method with simulation results showing that this method can indicate the receiver when spoofing has occurred.The method can be used by most receivers,is inexpensive,and requires only a small software upgrade.Yang Gao Hong Li Mingquan Lu Zhenming Feng 2013Tsinghua Science and Technology2013,18,6:7
2Low-complexity method for DOA estimation based on ESPRIT显示文摘A low-complexity method for direction of arrival(DOA) estimation based on estimation signal parameters via rotational invariance technique(ESPRIT) is proposed.Instead of using the cross-correlation vectors in multistage Wiener filter(MSWF),the orthogonal residual vectors obtained in conjugate gradient(CG) method span the signal subspace used by ESPRIT.The computational complexity of the proposed method is significantly reduced,since the signal subspace estimation mainly needs two matrixvector complex multiplications at the iteration of data level.Furthermore,the prior training data are not needed in the proposed method.To overcome performance degradation at low signal to noise ratio(SNR),the expanded signal subspace spanned by more basis vectors is used and simultaneously renders ESPRIT yield redundant DOAs,which can be excluded by performing ESPRIT once more using the unexpanded signal subspace.Compared with the traditional ESPRIT methods by MSWF and eigenvalue decomposition(EVD),numerical results demonstrate the satisfactory performance of the proposed method.Xuebin Zhuang Xiaowei Cui Mingquan Lu Zhenming Feng 2010Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2010,21,5:6
3Numerically stable method of signal subspace estimation based on multistage Wiener filter显示文摘In this paper,a numerically stable method of signal subspace estimation based on Householder multistage Wiener filter(HMSWF) is proposed.Numerical stability of the method lies on the fact that the Householder matrix in HMSWF ensures the unitary blocking operation and significantly strengthens the orthogonality of basis vectors,especially in the finite-precision implementation.In the following,we analyze the numerical stability of HMSWF and MSWF based on the correlation subtractive structure(CSS-MSWF) by establishing the equivalence between the forward recursion of MSWF and the Arnoldi algorithm in numerical linear algebra.Besides,the equivalence between HMSWF and the Householder QR decomposition(QRD) on the Krylov matrix underlying in MSWF is directly established.Based on the relationship,two theoretical upper bounds of the orthogonality error of basis vectors in signal subspace are obtained and it is demonstrated that the orthogonality of basis vectors based on HMSWF is perfectly preserved by the numerically well-behaved Householder matrix,and the corresponding signal subspace estimation is much more numerically stable than that based on CSS-MSWF.Simulations show the numerical stability of the proposed method of signal subspace estimation by HMSWF.ZHUANG XueBin CUI XiaoWei LU MingQuan FENG ZhenMing 2010Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,12:4
4Seismic behavior of breakwaters on complex ground by numerical tests:Liquefaction and post liquefaction ground settlements显示文摘A large number of breakwaters have been constructed along coasts to protect humans and infrastructures from tsunamis.There is a risk that foundation soils of these structures may liquefy,or partially liquefy during the earthquake preceding a tsunami,which would greatly reduce the structures’capacity to resist the tsunami.It is necessary to consider not only the soil’s liquefaction behavior due to earthquake motions but also its post-liquefaction behavior because this behavior will affect the breakwater’s capacity to resist an incoming tsunami.In this study,numerical tests based on a sophisticated constitutive model and a soil-water coupled finite element method are used to predict the mechanical behavior of breakwaters and the surrounding soils.Two real breakwaters subjected to two different seismic excitations are examined through numerical simulation.The simulation results show that,earthquakes affect not only the immediate behavior of breakwaters and the surrounding soils but also their long-term settlements due to post-earthquake consolidation.A soil profile with thick clayey layers beneath liquefied soil is more vulnerable to tsunami than a soil profile with only sandy layers.Therefore,quantitatively evaluating the seismic behavior of breakwaters and surrounding soils is important for the design of breakwater structures to resist tsunamis.Gu Linlin Zhang Feng Bao Xiaohua Shi Zhenming Ye Guanlin Ling Xianzhang 2018Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2018,17,2:3
5Vector tracking loops in GNSS receivers for dynamic weak signals显示文摘Vehicle positioning with the global navigation satellite system(GNSS) in urban environments faces two problems which are attenuation and dynamic.For traditional GNSS receivers hardly able to track dynamic weak signals,the coupling between all visible satellite signals is ignored in the absence of navigation state feedback,and thermal noise error and dynamic stress threshold are contradictory due to non-coherent discriminators.The vector delay/frequency locked loop(VDFLL) with navigation state feedback and the joint vector tracking loop(JVTL) with coherent discriminator which is a synchronization parameter tracking loop based on maximum likelihood estimation(MLE) are proposed to improve the tracking sensitivity of GNSS receiver in dynamic weak signal environments.A joint vector position tracking loop(JVPTL) directly tracking user position and velocity is proposed to further improve tracking sensitivity.The coherent navigation parameter discriminator of JVPTL,being able to ease the contradiction between thermal noise error and dynamic stress threshold,is based on MLE according to the navigation parameter based linear model of received baseband signals.Simulation results show that JVPTL,which combines the advantages of both VDFLL and JVTL,performs better than both VDFLL and JVTL in dynamic weak signal environments.Jing Liu Xiaowei Cui Mingquan Lu Zhenming Feng 2013Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2013,24,3:2

17Roles of FERONIA-like receptor genes in regulating grain size and quality in rice显示文摘Grain yield and quality are critical factors that determine the value of grain crops.In this study,we analyzed the functions of 12 FERONIA-like receptor(FLR)family members in rice and investigated their effects on grain size and quality.We found that FLR1,FLR2 and FLR8 negatively regulated grain size,and FLR15 positively regulated grain size.flr1 mutants had a higher cell number and an accelerated rate of grain filling compared to wild-type plants,which led to grains with greater widths.A mechanism underlying the regulation of grain size by FLR1 is that FLR1 is associated with OsRac1 Rho-like GTPase,a positive regulator of grain size.Regarding grain quality,the flr1 mutant had a higher percentage of chalkiness compared with wild-type plants,and seeds carrying mutations in flr3 and flr14 had endosperms with white floury cores.To elucidate the possible mechanism underlying this phenomenon,we found that FLR1 was constitutively expressed during endosperm development.RNA-seq analysis identified 2,367 genes that were differentially expressed in the flr1 mutant,including genes involved in starch and sucrose metabolism and carbon fixation.In this study,we identified the roles played by several FLR genes in regulating grain size and quality in rice and provided insights into the molecular mechanism governing the FLR1-mediated regulation of grain size.Long Wang Dandan Wang Zhuhong Yang Shun Jiang Jianing Qu Wei He Zhenming Liu Junjie Xing Youchu Ma Qinlu Lin Feng Yu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,2:1

20Mapping and overlapping based carrier frequency searching technique for rapid GNSS long PN-code acquisition显示文摘In global navigation satellite systems(GNSS),because of the long period and high chip rate of long pseudo-noise(PN) code,the rapid acquisition is hard to accomplish.To speed up search process,in the paper,a mapping and overlapping based carrier frequency searching technique is proposed.By mapping incoming signals of the same interval to different carrier frequency cells and overlapping together the mapped incoming signals that correspond to the same code phase,the technique reduces the number of the cells to be searched.The effect of the technique on detection and mean acquisition time performance is analyzed.It is shown that the technique reduces the cells to be searched and shortens mean acquisition time at the expense of degrading detection performance.The technique is fit to the previously published acquisition methods and is capable of improving their mean acquisition time performance.Numerical and simulation results validate the analysis.LI Hong ,LU MingQuan & FENG ZhenMing Department of Electronic Engineering,Tsinghua University,Beijing 100084,China 2010Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,12:1
