| 2 | Early Paleozoic Granulite-Facies Metamorphism and Magmatism in the Northern Wulan Terrane of the Quanji Massif:Implications for the Evolution of the Proto-Tethys Ocean in Northwestern China显示文摘The nature and evolution of the Proto-Tethys Ocean originated from the breakup of the supercontinent Rodinia remain controversial. Early Paleozoic magmatism and metamorphism can provide important constraints on the closure of the Proto-Tethys Ocean. This paper reports on a set of geological, petrographical, geochronological, mineralogical and geochemical data for Early Paleozoic granite, gabbro, granulite and granitic leucosome in the northern Wulan terrane of the Quanji Massif. Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating reveals two episodes of magmatism, with the emplacement of a granitic pluton at 476.7±2.8 Ma and a gabbroic dike at 423±2 Ma. Whole-rock geochemistry suggests an arc affinity for the magma of the granitic pluton but a post-collisional extension setting for the gabbroic dike. Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating also shows that the peak granulite-facies metamorphism and anatexis occurred at ~475 Ma, coeval with the formation of the granitic pluton in the Quanji Massif as well as the early lawsonite-bearing eclogites in the North Qaidam high-pressure and ultrahigh-pressure(HP-UHP) metamorphic belt to the south. The granulite-facies metamorphism with peak P-T conditions at 718–729 ℃ and 0.46–0.53 GPa is characterized by an anticlockwise P-T path. Our data provide compelling evidence for Early Paleozoic paired metamorphic belts with HP-UHP metamorphism in the North Qaidam to the south and low P/T metamorphism in the Quanji Massif as a continental arc to the north, hence suggesting a northward subduction polarity for the Proto-Tethys oceanic plate. | 3 | A fast and automatic full-potential finite volume solver on Cartesian grids for unconventional configurations显示文摘To meet the requirements of fast and automatic computation of subsonic and transonic aerodynamics in aircraft conceptual design,a novel finite volume solver for full potential flows on adaptive Cartesian grids is developed in this paper.Cartesian grids with geometric adaptation are firstly generated automatically with boundary cells processed by cell-cutting and cell-merging algorithms.The nonlinear full potential equation is discretized by a finite volume scheme on these Cartesian grids and iteratively solved in an implicit fashion with a generalized minimum residual(GMRES) algorithm.During computation,solution-based mesh adaptation is also applied so as to capture flow features more accurately.An improved ghost-cell method is proposed to implement the non-penetration wall boundary condition where the velocity-potential of a ghost cell is modified by an analytic method instead.According to the characteristics of the Cartesian grids,the Kutta condition is applied by specially computing the gradients on Kutta-faces without directly assigning the potential jump to cells adjacent wake faces,which can significantly improve the solution converging speed.The feasibility and accuracy of the proposed method are validated by several typical cases of sub/transonic flows around an ONERA M6 wing,a DLR-F4 wing-body,and an unconventional figuration of a blended wing body(BWB).The validation cases demonstrate a fast convergence with fully automatic grid treatment and computation,and the results suggest its capacity in application for aircraft conceptual design. | Fanxi LYU Tianhang XIAO Xiongqing YU | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2017,30,3: | 4 |
| 4 | Geochemistry of Metamafic Dykes from the Quanji Massif: Petrogenesis and Further Evidence for Oceanic Subduction, Late Paleoproterozoic, NW China显示文摘A suite of 1.84–1.92 Ga metamafic dykes within the paragneiss suite(khondalite) of the Quanji massif in NW China, has been chosen in this study for further understanding the tectonic evolution and possible links to the global Columbia supercontinent. Occurrence and field relations suggest that they were formed coevally with a previous studied 1.83–1.85 Ga metamafic dyke swarms. Whole-rock major and trace elemental geochemistry suggests precursor magma of the amphibolites being generated from a volcanic arc-related tectonic setting rather than a back-arc environment where the metamafic dyke swarms were emplaced. The metamafic dykes show enrichment of LREE and strongly negative anomalies for Ta-Nb, Zr-Hf and Ti, have high SiO2(49.3 wt.%–52.5 wt.%) but low MgO(6.40 wt.%–7.76 wt.%) contents and Mg#(Mg#=[100×(MgO/40.3)]/[MgO/40.3+FeO/71.8]) values(45.7–52.1), suggesting evolved precursor magma. The high values of La/Ta(22.2–42.8) and La/Nb(1.71–2.47), mildly negative εNd(t) values(-2.51–0.15), with depleted mantle model ages(TDM) of 2.45–2.84 Ga, suggest that their precursor magmas were possibly derived from a subduction-related fluid metasomatized Archean sub-continental lithospheric mantle. | 11 | Early Paleoproterozoic Post-Collisional Basaltic Magmatism in Quanji Massif:Implications for Precambrian Plate Tectonic Regime in NW China显示文摘Basaltic magmas can provide important information about mantle source nature,tectonic settings and tectonic evolution for a given terrain.This paper reports geology,petrography and geochemistry of whole-rock major and trace elements and Nd-Sr isotopes for a suite of garnet amphibolites from southeastern Wulan(Ulan),Quanji Massif,northwestern China.The garnet amphibolites were likely generated from basaltic lavas,associated with both paragneisses and orthogneisses of the lower Delingha Group.The basaltic protolith of these amphibolites can be broadly constrained to be formed at~2.33 Ga in an extensional setting post-collision.The geochemistry of amphibolites shows subalkaline and highly evolved characteristics.They display high-Fe low-Ti characteristics,with TFeO of 13.1 wt.%-17.9 wt.%and TiO_(2) of 1.42 wt.%-3.09 wt.%(in most samples TiO_(2)≤2.5 wt.%).The chondrite-normalized REE patterns show enrichment of LREE and LILE and the primitive-mantle-normalized incompatible element patterns display negative P,Ti,Nb-Ta and Zr-Hf anomalies.The(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)t values of 0.6978-0.7123 andε_(Nd)(t)values of-2.81-5.08 respond to depleted mantle model ages(T_(DM))of 2.33-3.30 Ga.These suggest that the precursor magmas of the protolith of the garnet amphibolites were probably derived from the Early Paleoproterozoic depleted sub-continental lithospheric mantle that had been metasomatized by subduction-induced fluids and melts.The precursor basaltic magmas were contaminated by the older crustal components during magma ascending.This post-collisional basaltic magmatic event at~2.33 Ga in Quanji Massif thus enhanced the subduction shutdown or slowdown tectonic regime both in NW China and coevally with those plate tectonics in some important domains worldwide during the Early Paleoproterozoic. | Hassan Abdelslam Mustafa Fanxi Liao Nengsong Chen Zhendong You Meshaal Abdelgadir Salih Lu Wang Lu Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Earth Science2022,33,3: | 0 |

In this work, we reported a series of visible-light-responsive covalent organic frameworks (COFs) by introducing donor-acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASAs) with various electron-withdrawing moieties via a post-modified strategy. The DASAs-functionalized COFs exhibit distorted honeycomb layered topology with long-range periodicity. The DASAs grafted on the skeletons are pointing into the nanopores of COFs, which weakens intermolecular aggregation and ensures sufficient free volume to undergo reversible isomerization between linear and cyclic states. Furthermore, the crystalline and optical properties of COFs as well as the geometrical size and hydrophilicity inside the nanopores were reversibly controlled by alternating visible light irradiation and heat.
