| 1 | Performance characterization of Ni60-WC coating on steel processed with supersonic laser deposition显示文摘Ni60-WC particles are used to improve the wear resistance of hard-facing steel due to their high hardness. An emerging technology that combines laser with cold spraying to deposit the hard-facing coatings is known as supersonic laser deposition. In this study, Ni60-WC is deposited on low-carbon steel using SLD. The microstructure and performance of the coatings are investigated through SEM, optical microscopy, EDS, XRD, microhardness and pin-on-disc wear tests. | 2 | Hardfacing steel with nanostructured coatings of Stellite-6 by supersonic laser deposition显示文摘The ability to manufacture coatings is critical to engineering design. Many components require the application of additional layers toenhance mechanical properties and protect against hostile environments. Supersonic laser deposition (SLD) is a novel coating methodbased on cold spray (CS) principles. In this technique, the deposition velocities can be significantly lower than those required foreffective bonding in CS applications. The addition of laser heat energy permits a change in the thermodynamic experience of impactingparticles, thereby offering a greater opportunity for efficient bonding at lower velocities as compared with the CS process. The workreported in this paper demonstrates the ability of the SLD process to deliver hardfacing materials to engineering surfaces. Stellite-6 hasbeen deposited on low-carbon steel tubes over a range of process parameters to establish the appropriate target power and traversespeeds for the coating formation. The coating properties and parameters were examined to determine the primary characteristics andgrain structure size. Their morphology and performance were studied through optical microscopy, scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction, hardness measurements and wear testing. | 3 | Characteristics of Stellite 6 Deposited by Supersonic Laser Deposition Under Optimized Parameters显示文摘Stellite 6 powders were deposited on low carbon steel using SLD (supersonic laser deposition) under optimized parameters. The structure, line scan of elements and porosity of coating were examined and analyzed using SEM (scanning electron microscope), OM (optical microscope) and XRD (X-ray diffraction). The adhesion strength between coating and substrate was tested by PAT-ADHESION/TENSILE and E900STM adhesive. | 7 | Risk stratification in symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease with conventional vascular risk factors and cerebral haemodynamics显示文摘Background and purpose Symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic stenosis(sICAS)is associated with a considerable risk of recurrent stroke despite contemporarily optimal medical treatment.Severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS and its haemodynamic significance quantified with computational fluid dynamics(CFD)models were associated with the risk of stroke recurrence.We aimed to develop and compare stroke risk prediction nomograms in sICAS,based on vascular risk factors and these metrics.Methods Patients with 50%-99%sICAS confirmed in CT angiography(CTA)were enrolled.Conventional vascular risk factors were collected.Severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS was dichotomised as moderate(50%-69%)and severe(70%-99%).Translesional pressure ratio(PR)and wall shear stress ratio(WSSR)were quantified via CTA-based CFD modelling;the haemodynamic status of sICAS was classified as normal(normal PR&WSSR),intermediate(otherwise)and abnormal(abnormal PR&WSSR).All patients received guideline-recommended medical treatment.We developed and compared performance of nomograms composed of these variables and independent predictors identified in multivariate logistic regression,in predicting the primary outcome,recurrent ischaemic stroke in the same territory(SIT)within 1 year.Results Among 245 sICAS patients,20(8.2%)had SIT.The D2H2A nomogram,incorporating diabetes,dyslipidaemia,haemodynamic status of sICAS,hypertension and age≥50 years,showed good calibration(P for Hosmer-Lemeshow test=0.560)and discrimination(C-statistic 0.73,95%CI 0.60 to 0.85).It also had better performance in risk reclassification and provided larger net benefits in decision curve analysis,compared with nomograms composed of conventional vascular risk factors only,and plus the severity of luminal stenosis in sICAS.Sensitivity analysis in patients with anterior-circulation sICAS showed similar results.Conclusions The D2H2A nomogram,incorporating conventional vascular risk factors and the haemodynamic significance of sICAS as assessed in CFD models,could be a useful tool to stratify sICAS patients for the risk of recurrent stroke under contemporarily optimal medical treatment. | Xuan Tian Hui Fang Linfang Lan Hing Lung Ip Jill Abrigo Haipeng Liu Lina Zheng Florence S Y Fan Sze Ho Ma Bonaventure Ip Bo Song Yuming Xu Jingwei Li Bing Zhang Yun Xu Yannie O Y Soo Vincent Mok Ka Sing Wong Thomas W Leung Xinyi Leng | 2023 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2023,8,1: | 2 |
