Taxonomy, age and environment status of the Yuanmou hominoids显示文摘The taxonomy, age and environment status of the Yuanmou hominoids had been contro-versial since their discovery. We launched new ex-cavations and investigations in the Yuanmou Basin and analyzed both old and newly collected data. We conclude that all hominoids from the Yuanmou Basin and the so-called Pliocene hominids can be attributed into a single species, and its valid nomination is Lufengpithecus hudienensis. It is different from Lufengpithecus lufengensis and Lufengpithecus kei-yuanensis. Based on the faunal comparison and pa-leomagnetic correlation, the strata yielding the Yuanmou hominoids are older than those of Lufeng hominoids and younger than those of the Kaiyuan hominoids. The age of the Yuanmou hominoids is Late Miocene. The environments of the Yuanmou hominoids were subtropical, hilly, with some dense forestry and partial transitional bushes and seasonal climate.QI Guoqin DONG Wei ZHENG Liang ZHAO Lingxia GAO Feng YUE Leping ZHANG Yunxiang 2006Chinese Science Bulletin2006,51,6:9

Effect of Non-reactive Powder Particle Properties on Dry Agglomeration in a High Shear Mixer显示文摘The effect of non-reactive powder particle properties on the detergent dry agglomeration process in a high shear mixer was investigated. Three types of micron-scale silica were chosen as the non-reactive fine powders and a semi-solid alkyl ethyl ethoxy sulfate(AES) paste with ultra-high viscosity was chosen as the binder. The granules were characterized using massbased granule size distribution, scanning electron microcopy, and bulk density tests. The results revealed that powder particle size plays a leading role in agglomeration behavior. A decrease in the median particle size results in enhanced dispersion of silica particles in the AES paste binder droplets, which leads to the formation of uniform granules that are slightly affected by compacting forces. Agglomerate quality, using silica with high oil absorption as well as optimum particle size, was satisfactory, and the product exhibited a smaller median particle size, narrower size distribution, and superior anti-caking capacity under the same liquid-to-solid ratio(L/S).Hongyuan Wei Bohao Feng Guangzong Zhao Xiao Tian Leping Dang 2018Transactions of Tianjin University2018,24,5:1
Experimental studies on the vibration of perforated sheet显示文摘In the experiment we have measured the resonant frequencies of per-forated sheets with perforation rates from 0.008 to 0.30.Compared those fre-quencies with the corresponding resonant frequencies of homogeneous,orun-perforated one we obtained an empirical relationship between the resonantfrequency and perforation rate, which can be used for industrial purpose.Wehave also studied the change of vibrational energy distribution of perforatedsheet related to that of homogeneous.LI Peizi and FENG Leping(Institute of Acoustics, Academia Sinica) 1990Chinese Journal of Acoustics1990,9,2:1

Assessing environmental impact:Micro-energy network optimization in a Chinese industrial park显示文摘Micro-energy systems contribute significantly to environmental improvement by reducing dependence on power grids through the utilization of multiple renewable energy sources. This study quantified the environmental impact of a micro-energy network system in an industrial park through a life cycle assessment using the operation of the micro-energy network over a year as the functional unit and“cradle-to-gate”as the system boundary.Based on the baseline scenario,a natural gas generator set was added to replace central heating, and the light pipes were expanded to constitute the optimized scenario. The results showed that the key impact categories for both scenarios were global warming, fine particulate matter formation, human carcinogenic toxicity, and human non-carcinogenic toxicity. The overall environmental impact of the optimized scenario was reduced by 68%compared to the baseline scenario.A sensitivity analysis of the key factors showed that electricity from the power grid was the key impact factor in both scenarios, followed by central heating and natural gas. Therefore,to reduce the environmental impact of network systems,it is necessary to further optimize the grid power structure. The research approach can be used to optimize micro-energy networks and evaluate the environmental impact of different energy systems.Guanzhun Cao Chuan Feng Tong Li Hongjuan Zhang Xiaoyao Guo Wen Li Yanshuang Jia Leping Chen Yuan Xu Qingsong Wang Guifang Chen Xueliang Yuan 2024Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2024,22,1:0
A simplified way to compute partial coherence function in noise source identification显示文摘A simplified way to compute multiple coherence function, partialcoherence function, partial multiple coherence function,as well as all typesof coherent output spectra are deduced in this paper by applying multivariatelinear regression theory to multiple coherence analysis. The conceptof'residual cross spectrum'is avoided. The formulas are simple and easy tobe programmed. The problems in noise source identification by partial coher-ence function are discussed. The results for noise source identification in asimulated model are given.FENG Leping(Institute of Acoustics ,Academia Sinica) 1991Chinese Journal of Acoustics1991,10,2:0
Carbon footprint accounting for cigar production processes: A life cycle assessment perspective显示文摘Although the tobacco industry is a significant contributor to energy consumption and carbon emissions its negative environmental impact has received inadequate attention globally.Cigarette factories are a key link in the tobacco industry’s production chain, and using data provided by a cigarette factory in China we conduct a life cycle assessment to account for the carbon footprint of cigar production in cigarette factories. The results of the assessment show that factory air conditioning is the most important contributor to the environmental load of the cigar manufacturing process, while electricity is the key factor that contributes the greatest envi‐ronmental load across all of the processes in the product life cycle. In addition, packaging, including small boxes and cigarette cartons, has a significant impact on the industry’s environmental footprint due to its use of raw materials. We find the carbon footprint of the entire production process for cigar products to be 383.59 kg CO_(2) eq.Based on our findings,we suggest ways to optimize cigar/cigarette factory processes to re‐duce carbon emissions that can help to promote sustainable development in related industries.Guanzhun Cao Xiaoyao Guo Chuan Feng Tong Li Feng Cui Yuan Xu Shuo Yang Qingsong Wang Leping Chen Xueliang Yuan Guifang Chen 2023Chinese Journal of Population,Resources and Environment2023,21,4:0
