| 6 | Numerical study on the effect of reservoir heterogeneity and gas supply on hydrate accumulation in subsea shallow formations显示文摘Seepage-type gas hydrate accumulation in subsea shallow formations involves complicated thermohydro-solid coupling processes and matching problem between various accumulation elements.Theformation physical properties control local natural gas migration pathway and thus the final reservoircharacteristics of hydrates. In this paper,a novel mixed-flux model for gas hydrate accumulation isestablished and then used to simulate the process of methane gas migration into the shallow stratum toform a hydrate reservoir. The effects of reservoir heterogeneity and gas source conditions on the distribution of pore fluid and hydrate accumulation are examined. The simulation results show thatreservoir heterogeneity is conducive to the retention and lateral migration of CH4 in a hydrate stabilityzone.CH4 can contact more pore water to form a large hydrate reserve, but the formed hydrate is oftendispersed.Low-permeability layers enhance the trapping of CH4 and form a uniform and large hydratesaturation.Besides, gas source conditions have an important impact on the hydrate accumulation inreservoirs.Large gas flux, small pore water flux, continuous gas supply, high content of heavy components in natural gas,and numerous gas source points contribute to large amounts of hydrates generationin a certain time period. The presented work will deepen our understanding of the controls of natural gashydrate systems in subea shallow formations. | Liang Zhang Rong Feng Songhe Geng Xin Li Fangping Yan Shaoran Ren | 2021 | Petroleum Research2021,6,2: | 1 |

| 15 | Leptin effects on the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis by activating proopiomelanocortin neurons Correlation between regulatory effects and duration显示文摘BACKGROUND:Leptin preserves reproductive functions by stimulating hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis activities at different levels. Some interneurons play an important role in leptin regulation of the gonadal axis.It remains uncertain whether leptin regulates reproductive functions by activating proopiomelanocortin (POMC) neurons.OBJECTIVE:To investigate leptin effects on secretory function of the neuroendocrine-gonadal axis by activating POMC neurons and to observe and verify the relationship between leptin effects and various time points.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:The randomized, controlled, animal study was performed at the Basic Institute of Chengde Medical University and the Research Room of Reproductive Immunology of National Research Institute for Family Planning from June to September 2008.MATERIALS:Leptin (Peprotech,USA),α-melanocyte stimulating hormone and rabbit anti-POMC polyclonal antibody (SC-20148) (Santa Cruz Biotechnology,USA),follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and gonadotropin releasing hormone enzyme-labeled immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit (ADL,USA) were used in the present study.METHODS:A total of 60 healthy, female, adult,Wistar rats received 17 β-estradiol for 5 consecutive days at 15 days after ovariectomy. The rats were randomly assigned to physiological saline (n=35),leptin (n=35),and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone (n=20) groups.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Changes in gonadotropin releasing hormone, luteinizing hormone, and follicle stimulating hormone were compared following intraventricular injection of physiological saline, leptin, and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone at various time points.Changes in POMC mRNA and protein expression in the hypothalamus were measured following physiological saline and leptin injection via the lateral ventricle.RESULTS:Compared to the physiological saline group, leptin and α-melanocyte stimulating hormone affected secretion in the hypothalamus-pituitary axis.Leptin affected secretion of gonadotropin releasing hormone, luteinizing hormone, and follicle stimulating hormone, whereas α-melanocyte stimulating hormone inhibited secretion of these hormones.Compared to the physiological saline group,POMC mRNA expression was significantly increased in the hypothalamus at 2 and 4 hours after leptin injection (P < 0.05),but expression recovered to physiological saline group levels at 6 hours after injection (P > 0.05).POMC protein expression was significantly increased in the hypothalamus at 4 and 6 hours after leptin injection (P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Leptin affects secretory function of the neuroendocrine-gonadal axis through combined effects on POMC neurons and other pathways. Results suggested that the regulatory effects of POMC neurons were later compared to other neurons. | Songhe Yang Luyang Cheng Xiuyan Ma Lianzhi Zhao Xiaotong Dong Peiming Feng Xiaoqiang Wang Tiecheng Sun Yuebing Qiao | 2010 | Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,9: | 0 |
| 16 | Preface显示文摘Materials chemomechanics is an exciting and fast growing field where mechanics meets chemistry, and has drawn increasing attention in recent years. It is concerned with the phenomena and mechanisms of coupled chemical and mechanical interactions. Chemomechanical coupling phenomena exist in many research areas, ranging from the development of advanced batteries, biomechanical engineering, hydrogen embrittlement, and high temperature oxidation. In fact, a typical chemomechanical problem usually involves the processes of diffusion, chemical reaction, deformation and stress generation. Such a strong coupling between chemistry and mechanics can give rise to the complex spatial-temporal evolution of composition, microstructure and morphology in materials. | SHEN ShengPing ZHU Ting MENG SongHe FENG Xue | 2019 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2019,62,8: | 0 |
| 17 | Experimental investigations on effects of gas pressure on mechanical behaviors and failure characteristic of coals显示文摘The mechanical behavior of coal is the key factor affecting underground coal mining and coalbed methane extraction. In this study, triaxial compression and seepage tests were carried out on coal at different gas pressures. The mechanical properties and failure process of coal were studied,as well as the acoustic emission(AE)and strain energy. The influence of gas pressure on the mechanical parameters of this coal was analyzed.Based on the conventional energy calculation formula, the pore pressure was introduced through the effective stress formula, and each energy component of coal containing gas was refined innovatively. The contribution of gas pressure to the total energy input and dissipation during loading was quantitatively described. Finally, the influence of gas pressure on coal strength was theo-retically analyzed from the perspectives of MohreCoulomb criterion and fracture mechanics. The results show that the total absorbed energy comprises the absorbed energy in the axial pressure direction(positive)and in the confining pressure direction(negative),as well as that induced by the pore pressure(initially negative and then positive). The absorbed energy in the axial pressure direction accounts for the main proportion of the total energy absorbed by coal. The quiet period of AE in the initial stage shortens, and AE activity increases during the pre-peak stage under high gas pressure. The fractal characteristics of AE in three stages are studied using the correlation dimension. The AE process has different forms of self-similarity in various deformation stages. | Yi Xue P.G.Ranjith Feng Gao Zhizhen Zhang Songhe Wang | 2023 | Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,2: | 0 |
