1Ca^(2+)-supplying black phosphorus-based scaffolds fabricated with microfluidic technology for osteogenesis显示文摘Effective osteogenesis remains a challenge in the treatment of bone defects.The emergence of artificial bone scaffolds provides an attractive solution.In this work,a new biomineralization strategy is proposed to facilitate osteogenesis through sustaining supply of nutrients including phosphorus(P),calcium(Ca),and silicon(Si).We developed black phosphorus(BP)-based,three-dimensional nanocomposite fibrous scaffolds via microfluidic technology to provide a wealth of essential ions for bone defect treatment.The fibrous scaffolds were fabricated from 3D poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA)nanofibers(3D NFs),BP nanosheets,and hydroxyapatite(HA)-porous SiO2 nanoparticles.The 3D BP@HA NFs possess three advantages:i)stably connected pores allow the easy entrance of bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)into the interior of the 3D fibrous scaffolds for bone repair and osteogenesis;ii)plentiful nutrients in the NFs strongly improve osteogenic differentiation in the bone repair area;iii)the photothermal effect of fibrous scaffolds promotes the release of elements necessary for bone formation,thus achieving accelerated osteogenesis.Both in vitro and in vivo results demonstrated that the 3D BP@HA NFs,with the assistance of NIR laser,exhibited good performance in promoting bone regeneration.Furthermore,microfluidic technology makes it possible to obtain high-quality 3D BP@HA NFs with low costs,rapid processing,high throughput and mass production,greatly improving the prospects for clinical application.This is also the first BP-based bone scaffold platform that can self-supply Ca^(2+),which may be the blessedness for older patients with bone defects or patients with damaged bones as a result of calcium loss.Zhanrong Li Xingcai Zhang Jiang Ouyang Dandan Chu Fengqi Han Liuqi Shi Ruixing Liu Zhihua Guo Grace X.Gu Wei Tao Lin Jin Jingguo Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,11:4

5Effect of Nb Content on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nbx High-Entropy Alloys显示文摘High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have significant application prospects as promising candidate materials for nuclear industry due to their excellent mechanical properties,corrosion resistance and irradiation resistance.In this work,the Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(x)(x=0,0.25,0.5,0.75 and 1.0)HEAs were designed and fabricated.The alloys were prepared by vacuum arc melting,and all the ingots were annealed at 1200℃ for 24 h.The microstructures,crystal structures,hardness and mechanical properties of Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(x) HEAs were investigated.The as-cast alloys are composed of single BCC phase.Moreover,the single BCC phase is retained after annealing at 1200℃ for 24 h.The compressive and microhardness tests show that the strength and hardness of the alloys decrease gradually with the increase of Nb content,while the plasticity increases and the fracture mode of the alloy changes from brittle fracture to ductile fracture,which is mainly owing to the decrease of grain size.The addition of Nb significantly improves the plasticity of the Mo_(0.25)V_(0.25)Ti_(1.5)Zr_(0.5)Nb_(x) alloys.In particular,Nb1.0 alloy can reach 28.32%strain without fracture,which exhibits promising potential in industrial application.Fengqi Zhang Chao Xiang En-Hou Han Zijian Zhang 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10:1
6Superior surface electron energy level endows WP_(2) nanowire arrays with N_(2) fixation functions显示文摘Nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)under ambient conditions is always a long-standing challenge in science,due to the extreme difficulty in breaking the strong N≡N triple bond.The key to resolving this issue undoubtedly lies in searching superior catalysts to efficiently activate and hydrogenate the stable nitrogen molecules.We herein evaluate the feasibility of WP_(2) for N2 activation and reduction,and first demonstrate WP_(2) with an impressive ammonia yield rate of 7.13 lg h^(-1)cm^(-2),representing a promising W-based catalyst for NRR.DFT analysis further reveals that the NRR catalysis on WP_(2) proceeds in a distal reaction pathway,and the exceptional NRR activity is originated from superior surface electron energy level matching between WP_(2) and NRR potential which facilitates the interfacial proton-coupled electron transfer dynamics.The successfully unraveling the intrinsic catalytic mechanism of WP_(2) for NRR could offer a powerful platform to manipulate the NRR activity by tuning the electron energy levels.Dongdong Han Xiaojing Liu Jinyan Cai Yufang Xie Shuwen Niu Yishang Wu Yipeng Zang Yanyan Fang Fengqi Zhao Wengang Qu Minghua Chen Gongming Wang Yitai Qian 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8:0
