1Noble-metal-free catalyst with enhanced hydrogen evolution reaction activity based on granulated Co-doped Ni-Mo phosphide nanorod arrays显示文摘The development of noble-metal-free electrocatalysts for water splitting is indispensable for the efficient production of hydrogen fuel.Herein,a Co-doped Ni-Mo phosphide nanorod arrays fabricated on porous Ni foam was shown to be an efficient binder-free electrocatalyst for water splitting.This catalyst featured exceptional activity,exhibiting an overpotential of 29 mV at a current density of 10 mA·cm−2 for the hydrogen evolution reaction,whereas the corresponding precatalyst exhibited an overpotential of 314 mV at a current density of 50 mA·cm^−2 for the oxygen evolution reaction.The achieved electrocatalytic performance provided access to a simple water splitting system,affording a current density of 10 mA·cm^−2 at 1.47 V in 1 M KOH electrolyte.Density functional theory results indicated that Co doping and phosphorization were responsible for the high electrocatalytic performance.Thus,this work paves the way for the development of novel noble-metal-free electrocatalysts for practical H2 production via water splitting.Heping Xie Cheng Lan Bin Chen Fuhuan Wang Tao Liu 2020Nano Research2020,13,12:4

10Laser Powder Bed Fusion Processing of Soft Magnetic Fe–Ni–Si Alloys: Effect of Hot Isostatic Pressing Treatment显示文摘Laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)-processed high-silicon steel has great advantages in freely designed electric engines,and various studies have been conducted in this field.However,the analysis of both the mechanical and magnetic properties,focusing on the multiscale microstructure under as-fabricated and heat-treated conditions,which is indispensable for industrial applications,has not been performed.In this study,an Fe–Ni–Si sample was fabricated using the L-PBF process.Subsequently,the following hot isotropic pressing(HIPing)process was employed as a post heat treatment step for the Fe–Ni–Si alloys.The effects of HIPing on the microstructure were investigated,focusing on the metastable stable phase transformation in the Fe–Ni–Si system.X-ray diffraction results showed single-phase fccγ(Fe,Ni)in the L-PBF-processed samples before and after HIPing.Moreover,the acicular Ni/Si-rich structure(formed in the as-fabricated L-PBF sample because of its high cooling rates)transformed to the equilibrium austenite,Ni3Si,and FeNi3 phases during HIPing.After HIP,the compressive modulus and strength increased from 11 GPa and 650 MPa to approximately 18 GPa and 900 MPa,respectively.The magnetic properties were evaluated via a hysteresis loop,and the coercivity increased from 1.8 kA/m and to 2.9 kA/m after the HIPing process.Nan Kang Qiuge Li Mohamed El Mansori Bo Yao Fuhuan Ma Xin Lin Hanlin Liao 2022Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering(Additive Manufacturing Frontiers)2022,1,4:0
11Calcium-chelating peptides from rabbit bone collagen:characterization,identification and mechanism elucidation显示文摘This study aimed to characterize and identify calcium-chelating peptides from rabbit bone collagen and explore the underlying chelating mechanism.Collagen peptides and calcium were extracted from rabbit bone by instant ejection steam explosion(ICSE)combined with enzymatic hydrolysis,followed by chelation reaction to prepare rabbit bone peptide-calcium chelate(RBCP-Ca).The chelating sites were further analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass(LC-MS/MS)spectrometry while the chelating mechanism and binding modes were investigated.The structural characterization revealed that RBCP successfully chelated with calcium ions.Furthermore,LC-MS/MS analysis indicated that the binding sites included both acidic amino acids(Asp and Glu)and basic amino acids(Lys and Arg),Interestingly,three binding modes,namely Inter-Linking,Loop-Linking and Mono-Linking were for the first time found,while Inter-Linking mode accounted for the highest proportion(75.1%),suggesting that chelation of calcium ions frequently occurred between two peptides.Overall,this study provides a theoretical basis for the elucidation of chelation mechanism of calcium-chelating peptides.Fuhuan Yuan Yu Fu Liang Ma Hankun Zhu Yong Yu Xin Feng Yi Sun Hongjie Dai Xin Liu Zhengfang Liu Yuhao Zhang 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,3:0
