1Unravelling the precipitation evolutions of AZ80 magnesium alloy during non-isothermal and isothermal processes显示文摘The precipitation evolutions of Mg-Al-Zn alloys play essential roles in their mechanical properties,corrosion performance,formability,plastic deformation mechanisms and texture development.In the present work,the precipitation evolutions of AZ80 magnesium alloy during both non-isothermal and isothermal processes were unraveled by utilizing in situ electrical resistivity monitoring,hardness testing,differential scanning calorimetry and microstructural characterization.The results showed that discontinuous precipitation(DP)and continuous precipitation(CP)occurred competitively during non-isothermal and isothermal processes.The precipitation of dominantβ-Mg17 Al12 phase during non-isothermal processes was highly dependent on the thermal history.During isothermal processes,the precipitation behavior of AZ80 magnesium alloy could be considered as the functions of holding temperature and time.At lower temperatures,massive DP and CP were gradually formed to equally strengthen the alloy.At higher temperatures,the Ostwald coarsening was characterized in the later stages and indicated to slightly soften the alloy.Isothermal time-temperature-precipitation curves and quantitative precipitate evolution were estimated to unravel precipitation characteristics and their strengthening functions.Longqing Tang Guowei Bo Fulin Jiang Shiwei Xu Jie Teng Dingfa Fu Hui Zhang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,16:1
2Unraveling precipitation evolution and strengthening function of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with various Zn contents:Multiple experiments and integrated internal-state-variable modeling显示文摘Zn content is one of the most concerned factors in the development of next generation ultra-strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys owing to its essential role in precipitation strengthening.In the present work,the underlying functions of Zn content in precipitation evolution and strengthening function of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys were systematically investigated by combining multiple experiments and an integrated internalstate-variable model.The experimental results indicated that the increased Zn content in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys would promote the development of precipitates and enhance aging hardening.The diffusion flux of soluble Zn and the coordination of Mg atom controlled the crystallographic microstructures evolution during precipitates nucleation,growth and transition processes.By integrating precipitation development with electrical resistivity and hardness evolutions,an improved internal-state-variable physical model was then developed for the aging responses of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys.The unified model considered the intrinsic characteristics of precipitates such as crystallographic orientation,morphology,component,and distribution.The specific improvements were to balance the combined functions of Zn element and Mg element and consider the plate-like morphology and directed growth as indicated by experiments.This model was also adaptive to heat-treatment variables and chemical compositions,and owned the notable advantages to simultaneously rationalize the observed microstructural characteristics,mechanical and electrical properties following artificial aging of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys.In addition,a preliminary model framework between electrical resistivity and hardness for Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys was established.Jie Tang Mingcai Liu Guowei Bo Fulin Jiang Chunhui Luo Jie Teng Dingfa Fu Hui Zhang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21:0
3Real-time human segmentation by BowtieNet and a SLAM-based human AR system显示文摘Background Generally, it is difficult to obtain accurate pose and depth for a non-rigid moving object from a single RGB camera to create augmented reality (AR). In this study, we build an augmented reality system from a single RGB camera for a non-rigid moving human by accurately computing pose and depth, for which two key tasks are segmentation and monocular Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM). Most existing monocular SLAM systems are designed for static scenes, while in this AR system, the human body is always moving and non-rigid. Methods In order to make the SLAM system suitable for a moving human, we first segment the rigid part of the human in each frame. A segmented moving body part can be regarded as a static object, and the relative motions between each moving body part and the camera can be considered the motion of the camera. Typical SLAM systems designed for static scenes can then be applied. In the segmentation step of this AR system, we first employ the proposed BowtieNet, which adds the atrous spatial pyramid pooling (ASPP) of DeepLab between the encoder and decoder of SegNet to segment the human in the original frame, and then we use color information to extract the face from the segmented human area. Results Based on the human segmentation results and a monocular SLAM, this system can change the video background and add a virtual object to humans. Conclusions The experiments on the human image segmentation datasets show that BowtieNet obtains state-of-the-art human image segmentation performance and enough speed for real-time segmentation. 4THE MHD PROPERTIES OF AMBIPOLAR DIFFUSION AND QUASI - AMBIPOLAR DIFFUSION IN A PLASMA COLUMN显示文摘In the present paper, based on the conservation law of mass and momentum for ion andelectron, the distribution of velocity, density of ions and electrons along radial direction are solvednumerically. Furthermore, the comparison between MHD properties of ambipolar and qua-si- ambipolar diffusion is made. The numerical calculation is carried out for argon plasma. The resultsshow that the ion density, ratio of ion and electron velocity at the cathode sheath boundary surface in-crease with the intensity of magnetic induction, meanwhile, the distance between sheaths decreases aswell as the radial velocity of ion and electron at the anode sheath boundary. The ion density varies inaccord with experiment qualitatively. 5Effect of quenching residual stress on precipitation behaviour of 7085 aluminium alloy显示文摘The quenching-induced residual stress in ultrahigh strength Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys has a great influence on their precipitation behaviour in subsequent heat treatment and the properties of the final products.In the present work,the cladding quenching method was employed for 7085 Al alloy slabs to tailor different quenching residual stresses.Then the effects of quenching residual stress on the precipitation behaviour of the 7085 Al alloy were investigated through finite element analysis,residual stress and hardness distri-bution measurements and microstructural examinations.The results indicate that the reduction in resid-ual stress increases with increasing cladding layer thickness.For a cladding layer thickness in the range of 1-1.4 mm,the residual stress is almost eliminated.The hardness at the surface of the aged sample with a large compressive residual stress is decreased,while the hardness at the centre of the sample with a large tensile residual stress is increased.The hardness is approximately identical between the aged sam-ples with little or no residual stress.The elastic lattice distortion caused by residual stress is found to promote the nucleation of precipitates during the artificial ageing process.The in-depth mechanisms for the effect of quenching residual stress on the precipitation of 7085 Al alloy are also discussed.Jin Liu Zhiyong Du Jinlong Su Jie Tang Fulin Jiang Dingfa Fu Jie Teng Hui Zhang 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,1:0
