1Free convection of nanofluid filled enclosure using lattice Boltzmann method (LBM)显示文摘The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) is used to examine free convection of nanofluids. The space between the cold outer square and heated inner circular cylinders is filled with water including various kinds of nanoparticles: TiO2 , Ag, Cu, and Al2O3 . The Brinkman and Maxwell-Garnetts models are used to simulate the viscosity and the effective thermal conductivity of nanofluids, respectively. Results from the performed numerical analysis show good agreement with those obtained from other numerical methods. A variety of the Rayleigh number, the nanoparticle volume fraction, and the aspect ratio are examined. According to the results, choosing copper as the nanoparticle leads to obtaining the highest enhancement for this problem. 2Analytical solutions to nonlinear conservative oscillator with fifth-order nonlinearity显示文摘This paper describes analytical and numerical methods to analyze the steady state periodic response of an oscillator with symmetric elastic and inertia nonlinearity.A new implementation of the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) and an ancient Chinese method called the max-min approach are presented to obtain an approximate solution.The major concern is to assess the accuracy of these approximate methods in predicting the system response within a certain range of system parameters by examining their ability to establish an actual (numerical) solution.Therefore, the analytical results are compared with the numerical results to illustrate the effectiveness and convenience of the proposed methods.M.G.Sfahani S.S.Ganji A.Barari H.Mirgolbabaei G.Domairry 2010Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,3:4
