3Polymeric Nanomaterials as Electrolyte and Electrodes in Supercapacitors显示文摘The energy challenge requires a broad range of options for energy harvesting,storage,and conversion.We have produced polymeric coatings by spraying,to be used as electrolyte and electrodes in a fl exible electrochemical double layer capacitor.A thermoplastic polyurethane and a low molecular weight block copolyether were employed with LiClO_(4) to prepare solid polymeric electrolytes.Carbon black(CB)and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs)were dispersed in the polymer blend electrolyte to produce nanostructured composite electrodes.The conductivities increased with the addition of block copolyether and carbon nanotubes to the electrolyte and electrode,respectively.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and atomic force microscope(AFM)images of the nanocomposite electrodes showed nanoagglomerates of CB connected by carbon nanotubes.The solid supercapacitor prepared with these new materials as electrolyte and electrodes showed superior performance to other similar systems.The resulting safe and fl exible multilayer device can meet the requirements of modern devices.João P.C.Trigueiro Raquel S.Borges Rodrigo L.Lavall Hallen D.R.Calado Glaura G.Silva 2009Nano Research2009,2,9:1
4Effects of aeration on the suspended matter from a tropical and eutrophic estuary显示文摘A comprehensive understanding of the complex biogeochemical interactions between organic matter and persistent contaminants in the suspended matter is vital for ecoefficient estuary recovery.However,little is known regarding aeration effects in suspended particulate aggregates.Therefore,this study aimed to investigate the effects of aeration on the suspended matter from a Tropical and Eutrophic estuarine environment.Anoxic water with 60 g/L of suspended particulate matter(SPM)was collected from Guanabara Bay,Rio de Janeiro,Brazil,transferred to experimental boxes and aerated for 61 days.SPM aggregates monitoring included abiotic variables measurements and,determination of total organic matter(TOM),biopolymers composition,bacterial activity,trace metals,and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)concentrations.The aeration enhanced dissolved oxygen(DO)concentration and the redox potential(Eh).However,from days 0 to 61 the predominant bacterial activities were denitrification and fermentation.Electron transport system activity increased after day 10,and aerobic activity was detected after day 19.In summary,aeration increased aerobic bacterial activity,lipids(LIP)and trace metal concentrations,although diminished protein/carbohydrate ratio and PAH concentration.Trace metals concentration(Ni,Pb,Cu,Cr,Mn,and Fe)were the highest on day 19 when the p H was 5.9.Copper presented toxic values(Cu>20.0μg/g).The p H showed a strong negative correlation with Eh(r=-0.94;p<0.001).Acidic environment(p H≤5.9)in marine ecosystems with high loads of toxic trace metals is unsafe for biota.Therefore,managers must be aware of the environmental and biological risks of introducing the aeration technique into a eutrophic marine environment.Natascha Krepsky Maria das Gracas S.Bispo Luiz F.Fontana Frederico S.da Silva Jodo P.M.Torres Olaf Malm Cleverson G.Silva Mirian A.C.Crapez 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,12:0
5Lectin from Crataeva tapia bark exerts antitumor,anti-inflammtory and analgesic activities显示文摘Crataeva tapia bark lectin was evaluated for its antitumor activity against sarcoma 180 in Swiss albino mice.The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties were investigated in models of inflammation and nociception.The anti-inflammatory assay was induced by carrageenan induced peritonitis and the analgesic activity was induced by acetic acid-induced writhing response.The lectin presents low toxicity with a LD50 of 2,500 mg/kg body weight and significant antitumor activity causing inhibition of tumor growth.The lectin also promoted significant reduction(35.4%)in the number of neutrophil migration induced by carrageenan.Concerning its analgesic property,the lectin inhibits abdominal contractions induced by acetic acid.The current results revealed a lectin with significant antitumoral,anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive activities.Further investigations to unveil the exact mechanisms are needed.Regina M.S.ARAÚJO Antônio F.M.VAZ Jaciana S.AGUIAR Luana C.B.B.COELHO Patrícia M.G.PAIVA Ana M.M.MELO Teresinha G.SILVA Maria T.S.CORREIA 2011Natural Products and Bioprospecting2011,1,2:0
