1Preparation of cationic polyacrylamide microsphere emulsion and its performance for permeability reduction显示文摘In this paper, cationic polyacrylamide microspheres(CPAM) were synthesized using acrylamide(AM) and methacryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(TMAEMC) as monomers, ammonium sulfate as dispersant, poly(acryloyloxyethyl trimethyl ammonium chloride)(PAETAC) as dispersion stabilizer, and ammonium persulfate as initiator. The synthetic method was dispersion polymerization. The effects of monomer ratio(AM/TMAEMC), dispersant concentration, and dispersion stabilizer dosage on dispersion polymerization were systematically studied to determine the optimal preparation conditions. The structure and viscosity of the synthesized polymer were characterized by FTIR and capillary viscometry, respectively, and the particle sizes and distribution of the polymer microspheres were characterized by microscopy and dynamic light scattering, respectively. Finally, flow tests were conducted to measure the permeability reduction performance of the microspheres at various concentrations in sand packs with different permeability. Results show that CPAM emulsion of a solids content of 1wt% has excellent performance in low-to-medium permeability formations(< 1,000 mD), and the efficiency may reach above 90%.Guo Aijun Geng Yiran Zhao Lili Li Jun Liu Dong Li Peng 2014Petroleum Science2014,11,3:8
2Effect of fracture fluid flowback on shale microfractures using CT scanning显示文摘The field data of shale fracturing demonstrate that the flowback performance of fracturing fluid is different from that of conventional reservoirs, where the flowback rate of shale fracturing fluid is lower than that of conventional reservoirs. At the early stage of flowback, there is no single-phase flow of the liquid phase in shale, but rather a gas-water two-phase flow, such that the single-phase flow model for tight oil and gas reservoirs is not applicable. In this study, pores and microfractures are extracted based on the experimental results of computed tomography(CT)scanning, and a spatial model of microfractures is established. Then, the influence of rough microfracture surfaces on the flow is corrected using the modified cubic law, which was modified by introducing the average deviation of the microfracture height as a roughness factor to consider the influence of microfracture surface roughness. The flow in the fracture network is simulated using the modified cubic law and the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM).The results obtained demonstrate that most of the fracturing fluid is retained in the shale microfractures, which explains the low fracturing fluid flowback rate in shale hydraulic fracturing.Jiale He Zhihong Zhao Yiran Geng Yuping Chen Jianchun Guo Cong Lu Shouyi Wang Xueliang Han Jun Zhang 2024Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2024,16,2:0
