| 1 | On the timing and duration of the destruction of the North China Craton显示文摘The timing and duration of the destruction of the North China Craton, which is pivotal to understanding the destruction mechanism and its geodynamic controlling factors, still remain controversial. On the basis of the principles of magma genesis and evolution, first we outline magmatic expressions that can be related to cratonic destruction, then use magmatic and basin evolution trends to constrain the timescale of the lithospheric thinning in North China. The main conclusions include: (1) the thinning of the lithosphere beneath the North China Craton might have started, at least locally, since late Carboniferous-late Triassic, attained its climax during the late Jurassic-early Cretaceous, and continued till the end of late Cretaceous-early Cenozoic. The destruction of the North China Craton was a relatively slow, rather than a dramatic process. (2) The weakened lithospheric zones along the margins and interiors of the craton played an important role in cratonic destruction, partly accounting for the heterogeneous pattern of cratonic destruction. (3) The tectonic factors that controlled the destruction of the North China Craton may be multiple. The late Carboniferous southward subduction of the Paleo-Asian plate and the late Triassic collision between North China and South China may have re-activated the craton by influencing the thermal and integral structure of the craton. | 2 | Geochronologic and petrochemical evidence for the genetic link between the Maomaogou nepheline syenites and the Emeishan large igneous province显示文摘The Maomaogou nepheline syenite is located at the inner zone of the Emeishan large igneous province and exhibits intrusive contact with the Emeishan basalts. SHRIMP U-Pb dating on zircons from this syenite yields an age of 261.6±4.4 Ma, in agreement with the age of the Panzhihua layered intrusion and the eruption age of the Emeishan basalts as constrained by stratigraphic data. Geochemical data fur-ther suggest that the Maomaogou syenite has a source analogue to the Emeishan basalt, and may have been formed by partial melting of gabbroic cumulates underplated in the lower crust. | 3 | Activation of northern margin of the North China Craton in Late Paleozoic:Evidence from U-Pb dating and Hf isotopes of detrital zircons from the Upper Carboniferous Taiyuan Formation in the Ningwu-Jingle basin显示文摘LA-MC-ICPMS U-Pb dating has been performed on detrital zircons from the Upper Carboniferous Tai-yuan Formation (N-8) in the Ningwu-Jingle Basin, west of the North China Craton (NCC). The ages of 72 detrital zircon grains are divided into three groups: 303―320 Ma (6 grains), 1631―2194 Ma (37 grains, peaked at 1850 Ma), 2318―2646 Ma (29 grains, peaked at 2500 Ma). Detrital zircons of Group 2 and Group 3 were likely derived from the basement of the NCC. Group 1 zircons exhibit 176Hf/177Hf ratios ranging from 0.281725 to 0.282239, with corresponding negative εHf(t) values of -12.4―-30.3 and old Hf model ages of 1.4―2.2 Ga. These characteristics show a strong resemblance to those of Carboniferous igneous zircons from the Inner Mongolia Paleo-uplift (IMPU) on the northern margin of the NCC, but differ significantly from those of the Xing-Meng Orogenic Belt, suggesting that the source of the Tai-yuan Formation partly came from the IMPU. All detrital zircons of Group 1 have relatively high Th/U ratios (> 0.67), indicating a magmatic origin. The mean age (304 ± 6 Ma) of the two youngest grains is close to the depositional age of the Taiyuan Formation, suggesting a strong tectonic uplift and magmatism in the IMPU during the Late Carboniferous. | 4 | A linear ridgelet network approach for fault diagnosis of analog circuit显示文摘A linear ridgelet network combining ridgelet, linear term and the standard feed-forward neural network used for diagnosing the faults of analog circuit is constructed, and a training algorithm based on the steepest gradient descent method and momentum method for this network and the procedure for diagnosing these faults are proposed. The resulting linear ridgelet network can learn more rapidly from training samples and handle more effectively the complicated fault information of circuit under test than wavelet network and ridgelet network, classifying these faults effeciently and correctly and achieving a high classification accuracy. | 6 | Classification of the Gut Microbiota of Patients in Intensive Care Units During Development of Sepsis and Septic Shock显示文摘The gut microbiota of intensive care unit(ICU)patients displays extreme dysbiosis associated with increased susceptibility to organ failure,sepsis,and septic shock.However,such dysbiosis is difficult to characterize owing to the high dimensional complexity of the gut microbiota.We tested whether the concept of enterotype can be applied to the gut microbiota of ICU patients to describe the dysbiosis.We collected 131 fecal samples from 64 ICU patients diagnosed with sepsis or septic shock and performed 16S rRNA gene sequencing to dissect their gut microbiota compositions.During the development of sepsis or septic shock and during various medical treatments,the ICU patients always exhibited two dysbiotic microbiota patterns,or ICU-enterotypes,which could not be explained by host properties such as age,sex,and body mass index,or external stressors such as infection site and antibiotic use.ICU-enterotype I(ICU E1)comprised predominantly Bacteroides and an unclassified genus of Enterobacteriaceae,while ICU-enterotype II(ICU E2)comprised predominantly Enterococcus.Among more critically ill patients with Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II(APACHE II)scores>18,septic shock was more likely to occur with ICU E1(P=0.041).Additionally,ICU E1 was correlated with high serum lactate levels(P=0.007).Therefore,different patterns of dysbiosis were correlated with different clinical outcomes,suggesting that ICU-enterotypes should be diagnosed as independent clinical indices.Thus,the microbial-based human index classifier we propose is precise and effective for timely monitoring of ICU-enterotypes of individual patients.This work is a first step toward precision medicine for septic patients based on their gut microbiota profiles. | Wanglin Liu Mingyue Cheng Jinman Li Peng Zhang Hang Fan Qinghe Hu Maozhen Han Longxiang Su Huaiwu He Yigang Tong Kang Ning Yun Long | 2020 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2020,18,6: | 7 |
| 7 | Evaluating the improvement effect of low-energy strategies on the summer indoor thermal environment and cooling energy consumption in a library building:A case study in a hot-humid and less-windy city of China显示文摘Public buildings such as libraries consume a vast amount of cooling energy for maintaining a comfortable and stable indoor environment in summer,especially in the hot-humid climate.This study used a case study approach to discuss the effect of low-energy strategies that can be applied to improve indoor thermal environment and cooling energy consumption of library buildings in hot and humid cities like Nanning City(a southern city,China).The use of cooling window shutters(a shutter with the effects of shading and evaporative cooling)and ceiling fans for generating airflow was considered as applicable energy-saving measures in this study,and a university library was selected as the study building in which the two energy-saving measures were employed.The SET*and annual cooling load before and after the adoption of the proposed measures were quantitatively investigated with a building energy consumption simulation software(DesignBuilder).Simulation results showed that the daytime SET*values can be reduced by 3.0℃and 4.5℃respectively on a typical summer day after the use of the cooling shutters and ceiling fans.Moreover,the cooling loads can also be decreased by 8.4%and 16.6%respectively.Particularly,the combination of these two measures enabled the daytime SET*value and annual cooling load lower by 7.0℃and 60.8%respectively. | Yigang Li Jiang He | 2021 | Building Simulation2021,14,5: | 5 |
| 8 | An Adaptive SVD Method for Solving the Pass-Region Problem in S-Transform Time-Frequency Filters显示文摘S-transform(ST) is an excellent tool for time-frequency filter. There are two factors that influence filtering performance: Inverse s-transform(IST) algorithms and the pass-regions in time-frequency domain. A novel matrix IST algorithm is derived and an adaptive Singular value decomposition(SVD) method for solving the pass-region problem is proposed. The former can avoid reconstructing errors in time-frequency filtering; the latter is effective to distinguish the pass-region of signal from noise.Filter can be realized by removing the smaller singular values and keeping the larger singular values. An additive noise perturbation model is built in ST time-frequency domain and the effective rank of noise perturbation model based on matrix IST is analyzed. | 9 | Differentiation renders susceptibility to excitotoxicity in HT22 neurons显示文摘HT22 is an immortalized mouse hippocampal neuronal cell line that does not express cholinergic and glutamate receptors like mature hippocampal neurons in vivo.This in part prevents its use as a model for mature hippocampal neurons in memory-related studies.We now report that HT22 cells were appropriately induced to differentiate and possess properties similar to those of mature hippocampal neurons in vivo,such as becoming more glutamate-receptive and excitatory.Results showed that sensitivity of HT22 cells to glutamate-induced toxicity changed dramatically when comparing undifferentiated with differentiated cells,with the half-effective concentration for differentiated cells reducing approximately two orders of magnitude.Moreover,glutamate-induced toxicity in differentiated cells,but not undifferentiated cells,was inhibited by the N-methyl-Daspartate receptor antagonists MK-801 and memantine.Evidently,differentiated HT22 cells expressed N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors,while undifferentiated cells did not.Our experimental findings indicated that differentiation is important for immortalized cell lines to render post-mitotic neuronal properties,and that differentiated HT22 neurons represent a better model of hippocampal neurons than undifferentiated cells. | Minchao He Jun Liu haowu Cheng Yigang Xing William Z Suo | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,14: | 3 |
| 10 | Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with acute leukemia显示文摘Objective: The purposes of this study were to assess the efficacy of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for acute leukemia (AL) and analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of these patients. Methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 93 AL patients (median age, 30 years) undergoing allogeneic HSCT in Xiangya Hospital over the past 12 years were collected, and the potential factors affecting the efficacy and prognosis of allogeneic HSCT patients were determined. Results: Hematopoietic reconstitution was achieved in 90 patients. At the last follow-up, the incidences of severe acute graft versus host disease (aGvHD) and extensive chronic GvHD (cGvHD) were 14.0% and 20.0%, the 3-year cumulative incidence of transplantation related mortality (TRM) and relapse rate were 16.8%±6.1% and 21.3%±6.7%, and the estimated 3-year overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) of the patients were 64.6%±5.4% and 56.5%±5.5%, respectively. Univariate analysis indicated that age older than 40 years, HLA mismatch, and severe lung infection within the first 100 days after transplantation were risk factors for severe aGvHD, age older than 40 years, HLA mismatch, severe lung infection within the first 100 days after transplantation, and severe aGvHD were risk factors for TRM, high-risk AL and lack of cGvHD were risk factors for relapse (all P<0.05). Survival estimation showed that HLA mismatch, severe lung infection occurring within the first 100 days post-transplantation, high-risk AL severe aGvHD and lack of cGvHD were risk factors associated with poor prognosis (all P<0.05). Further multivariate analyses revealed that severe lung infection within the first 100 days post-transplantation, severe aGvHD and lack of cGvHD were independent risk factors for unfavorable outcomes (all P<0.05). | 11 | Spatio-temporal Variation of Soil Respiration and Its Driving Factors in Semi-arid Regions of North China显示文摘Soil respiration(SR) is the second-largest flux in ecosystem carbon cycling. Due to the large spatio-temporal variability of environmental factors, SR varied among different vegetation types, thereby impeding accurate estimation of CO_2 emissions via SR. However, studies on spatio-temporal variation of SR are still scarce for semi-arid regions of North China. In this study, we conducted 12-month SR measurements in six land-use types, including two secondary forests(Populus tomentosa(PT) and Robinia pseudoacacia(RP)), three artificial plantations(Armeniaca sibirica(AS), Punica granatum(PG) and Ziziphus jujuba(ZJ)) and one natural grassland(GR), to quantify spatio-temporal variation of SR and distinguish its controlling factors. Results indicated that SR exhibited distinct seasonal patterns for the six sites. Soil respiration peaked in August 2012 and bottomed in April 2013. The temporal coefficient of variation(CV) of SR for the six sites ranged from 76.98% to 94.08%, while the spatial CV of SR ranged from 20.28% to 72.97% across the 12-month measurement. Soil temperature and soil moisture were the major controlling factors of temporal variation of SR in the six sites, while spatial variation in SR was mainly caused by the differences in soil total nitrogen(STN), soil organic carbon(SOC), net photosynthesis rate, and fine root biomass. Our results show that the annual average SR and Q_(10)(temperature sensitivity of soil respiration) values tended to decrease from secondary forests and grassland to plantations, indicating that the conversion of natural ecosystems to man-made ecosystems may reduce CO_2 emissions and SR temperature sensitivity. | 12 | An oncolytic adenovirus delivering TSLC1 inhibits Wnt signaling pathway and tumor growth in SMMC-7721 xenograft mice model显示文摘Tumor suppressor in lung cancer-1(TSLC1)was first identified as a tumor suppressor for lung cancer,and frequently downregulated in various types of cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).The Wnt pathway plays a critical role in tumorigenesis,migration,and invasion in HCC.However,the function of TSLC1 in modulating Wnt signaling in HCC is unclear.In this study,we evaluated the effect of TSLC1-armed oncolytic adenovirus(S24-TSLC1)on the Wnt/β-catenin pathway,cell viability,invasion and migration abilities of HCC in vitro and the growth of SMMC-7721-xenografted tumor in mice model.We detected the expression of TSLC1 in tumor samples and HCC cell lines.The results showed that TSLC1 expression was low in HCC,but high in pericarcinomatous tissue and normal cells,which implied that TSLC1 is a tumor suppressor of liver cancer.S24-TSLC1 exhibited an antitumor effect on HCC cell growth in vitro,but did little damage to normal liver cells.Overexpression of TSLC1 downregulated the transcriptional activity of TCF4/β-catenin and inhibited the mRNA or protein expression of Wnt target genes cyclinD1 and c-myc.S24-TSLC1 also inhibited the invasion and migration of HCC cells.Animal experiments further confirmed that S24-TSLC1 significantly inhibited tumor growth of the SMMC-7721-xenografted tumor.In conclusion,TSLC1 could downregulate the Wnt signal pathway and suppress HCC cell growth,migration and invasion,suggesting that S24-TSLC1 may be a potent antitumor agent for future clinical trials in liver cancer treatment. | Yigang Wang Panpan Huang Yanping Hu Keni Guo Xiaoyuan Jia Biao Huang Xinyuan Liu Xianglei He Fang Huang | 2021 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6: | 2 |

However, the charge/discharge mechanism of MnO_(2)in aqueous electrolyte is still unclear. In present study, highly porous δ-MnO_(2) is investigated, which delivers a high capacity of 252.1 m Ah g^(-1) at 0.05 A g^(-1) and excellent rate capability, i.e., 109.7 m Ah g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1), but a low-capacity retention of 54.4% after 800 cycles at 1 A g^(-1). The two-step discharging process, namely a consequent H^(+) and Mg^(2+) insertion reaction, is verified, by comparing the electrochemical performance of δ-MnO_(2) in 1 M MgCl_(2) and 1 M MnCl_(2) aqueous electrolyte and analyzing detailedly the Mg content and the bonding state of Mn at different charge/discharge state.
