| 1 | adipokines 的新兴的角色作为在动脉粥样硬化的调停人显示文摘Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease is a major health problem around the world.Obesity is a primary risk factor for atherosclerosis and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular diseases.However,the precise molecular pathways underlying this close association remain poorly understood.Adipokines are cytokines,chemokines and hormones secreted by adipose tissue that couple the regulation of lipid accumulation,inflammation,and atherogenesis,and therefore serve to link obesity with cardiovascular disorders.Obesity-related disorders including metabolic syndrome,diabetes,atherosclerosis,hypertension,and coronary artery disease are associated with dysregulated adipokine(s) expression.Recent studies demonstrate the proinflammatory effects as well as atherogenic properties of adipokines.Adipokines also participate in the regulation of endothelial function,which is an early event in atherosclerosis.By contrast,adiponectin,an adipocyte-derived hormone,exerts anti-inflammatory,anti-atherogenic and vascular protective effects.Furthermore,there is an interactive association among adipokines,by which adipokines reciprocally regulate each other’s expression.Understanding this interplay may reveal plausible mechanisms for treating atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease by modulating adipokine(s) expression.In this review,we discuss insights into the role and the therapeutic potential of adipokines as mediators of atherosclerosis. | Hanrui Zhang Jian Cui Cuihua Zhang | 2010 | World Journal of Cardiology2010,2,11: | 2 |

| 3 | Supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation method to treat vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia with posterior circulatory watershed infarction:a case report of two patients显示文摘Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia(VBD),a rare posterior circulation vascular variant disease,is an important risk factor for many acute cerebrovascular diseases.An insufficient understanding of VBD often leads to misdiagnose.Two cases of VBD that were initially diagnosed as posterior circulation watershed infarction are reported here.Absence of common causes of stroke including hypoperfusion,blood system diseases,carotid and aortic dissection,and eosinophil elevation,the symptoms of the 2 patients met the diagnostic criteria of VBD.Both patients displayed symptoms that were in line with the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome pattern of'Qi deficiency and blood stasis'.Accordingly,they were comprehensively treated with Supplementing Qi and activating blood circulation method.The clinical manifestations of the 2 patients were remarkably improved and no recurrence of watershed infarction was found in a 1-year follow-up.A detailed medical history and laboratory examination are capable of improving diagnostic accuracy of VBD.TCM treatment based on syndrome identification might be a promising candidate for VBD management. | LI He SU Wenquan LI Shanshan JI Hanrui CHENG Jiangyan CUI Fangyuan TANG Lu ZHOU Li GAO Ying DONG Xinglu | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,4: | 0 |
| 4 | Anticorrosive and antibacterial smart integrated strategy for biomedical magnesium显示文摘Biomedical magnesium is an ideal material for hard tissue repair and replacement.However,its rapid degradation and infection after implantation significantly hindersclinical applications.To overcome these two critical drawbacks,we describe an integrated strategybased on the changes in pH and Mg^(2+)triggered by magnesiumdegradation.This system can simultaneously offer anticorrosion and antibacterial activity.First,nanoengineered peptide-grafted hyperbranched polymers(NPGHPs)with excellent antibacterial activity were introduced to sodium alginate(SA)to construct a sensitive NPGHPs/SA hydrogel.The swelling degree,responsiveness,and antibacterial activity were then investigated,indicating that the system can perform dual stimulation of pH and Mg^(2+)with controllable antimicrobial properties.Furthermore,an intelligent platform was constructed by coating hydrogels on magnesium with polydopamine as the transition layer.The alkaline environment generated by the corrosion of magnesium reduces the swelling degree of the coatingso that the liquid is unfavorable for contacting the substrate,thus exhibiting superior corrosion resistance.Antibacterial testing shows that the material can effectively fight against bacteria,while hemolytic and cytotoxicity testing suggest that it is highly biocompatible.Thus,this work realizes the smart integration of anticorrosion and antibacterial properties of biomedical magnesium,thereby providing broader prospects for the use of magnesium. | JianLiang Zhao HanRui Cui ZeYu Gao YanZe Bi ZhenZhen Dong Yan Li CaiQi Wang | 2023 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,8: | 0 |
