1Protective Effects of Flavonoids from Pteridium aquilinum on CCl_(4)-induced Acute Liver Injury in Mice显示文摘[Objectives]To explore the protective effects of flavonoids from Pteridium aquilinum(PAFL)on carbon tetracholoride(CCl_(4))-induced acute liver injury in mice and its potential mechanism.[Methods]All mice were randomly divided into four groups(n=10 in each),normal group,CCl_(4)group,CCl_(4)+PAFL groups[treated with PAFL(50 or 200 mg/kg)].Animal treatment was continued for 7 consecutive days.The blood was collected after injection of CCl_(4)for 24 h,and the liver tissue was removed from the mice and stored at-80℃.[Results]The PAFL(50 and 200 mg/kg)significantly inhibited the increase of aspartate aminotransferase(AST)and alanine aminotransferase(ALT)levels in serum caused by CCl_(4)treatment.PAFL administration not only increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase(SOD),Glutathione(GSH)and catalase(CAT)in mice,but also reduced the level of malondialdehyde(MDA).Meanwhile,PAFL administration decreased the expression of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)and Cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2)proteins and inhibited the release of pro-inflammatory factors tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and interleukin 6(IL-6).In addition,PAFL(200 mg/kg)treatment down-regulated extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK)and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)protein levels in liver tissue.[Conclusions]These findings clearly indicate that the protective effects of PAFL on CCl_(4)-induced acute liver injury is related to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity,which may be mediated by NF-κB and MAPKs signaling pathways.Junyue ZHANG Xiang HAN Qi ZHANG Yurong ZHU Haowei DENG Hongyang LIU Shuangli LIU Xiaohui WANG 2022Medicinal Plant2022,13,6:0
2Identification of ChatGPT answers and physician answers in the online medical community显示文摘ChatGPT changes the way of knowledge production and information space structure of human society.In the healthcare industry,ChatGPT's powerful question-and-answer capability will drive its application in automated question answering in online healthcare communities.However,because ChatGPT answers are limited by factors such as the quality of data sets,their authority and accuracy cannot be guaranteed,and they are prone to misdiagnosis and damage to life and health.Therefore,the identification of ChatGPT answers in online medical communities with physician answers is crucial.In this paper,we collected medical question-answering data generated by the Haodafu platform and ChatGPT,respectively,constructed feature vectors from semantic features,syntactic features,and the fusion of both,and combined different feature vectors with XGBoost models to construct BERT-XGBoost,POS-XGBoost and Merge-XGBoost models for identifying ChatGPT answers and physician answers in online medical communities.The three models achieved accuracy rates of 0.960,0.968,and 0.986,respectively.The difference in performance between the three models reflects the degrees of variation in different features of ChatGPT answers versus physician answers.The results indicate that the differences between ChatGPT and physicians in syntactic features,i.e.,linguistic expression habits,are greater than their differences in semantic features,i.e.,specific content suggestions.Shengli Deng Haowei Wang 2023Data Science and Informetrics2023,3,3:0
3Single-nucleus RNA sequencing reveals heterogeneity among multiple white adipose tissue depots显示文摘Regardless of its anatomical site,adipose tissue shares a common energy-storage role but exhibits distinctive properties.Exploring the cellular and molecular heterogeneity of white adipose tissue(WAT)is crucial for comprehending its function and properties.However,existing single-nucleus RNA sequencing(snRNA-seq)studies of adipose tissue heterogeneity have examined only one or two depots.In this study,we employed snRNA-seq to test five representative depots including inguinal,epididymal,mesenteric,perirenal,and pericardial adipose tissues in mice under physiological conditions.By analyzing the contents of main cell catego-ries and gene profiles of various depots,we identified their distinctive physiological properties.Immune cells and fibro-adipogenic progenitor cells(FAPs)showed dramatic differences among WAT depots,while adipocytes seemed to be conserved.The heightened presence of regulatory macrophages and B cells in pericardial adipose tissues implied their potential contribution to the preservation of coronary vascular function.Moreover,the selective aggregation of pericytes within mesenteric adipose tissue was likely associated with the maintenance of intestinal barrier homeostasis.Using a combination of RNA sequencing and snRNA-seq analysis,the major subpopulations of FAPs derived from these depots determined the site characteristics of FAPs to a certain extent.Our work estab-lishes a systematic and reliable foundation for investigating the heterogeneity of WAT depots and elucidating the unique roles these depots play in coordinating the function of adjacent organs.Limin Xie Wanyu Hu Haowei Zhang Yujin Ding Qin Zeng Xiyan Liao Dandan Wang Wanqin Xie Hannah Xiaoyan Hui Tuo Deng 2023Life Metabolism2023,2,6:0
