1First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 2CaMKIIα-driven,phosphatase-checked postsynaptic plasticity via phase separation显示文摘Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent kinase Ila(CaMKIla)is essential for synaptic plasticity and learning by decoding synaptic Ca^(2+)oscillations.Despite decades of extensive research,new mechanisms underlying CaMKIIa's function in synapses are still being discovered.Here,we discover that Shank3 is a specific binding partner for autoinhibited CaMKIla.We demonstrate that Shank3 and GluN2B,via combined actions of Ca^(2+)and phosphatases,reciprocally bind to CaMKIla.Under basal condition,CaMKIla is recruited to the Shank3 subcompartment of postsynaptic density(PSD)via phase separation.Rise of Ca^(2+)concentration induces GluN2Bmediated recruitment of active CaMKIla and formation of the CaMKIIa/GluN2B/PSD-95 condensates,which are autonomously dispersed upon Ca^(2+)removal.Protein phosphatases control the Ca^(2+)-dependent shuttling of CaMKIla between the two PSD subcompartme nts and PSD condensate formation.Activation of CaMKIla further enlarges the PSD assembly and in duces structural LTP.Thus,Ca^(2+)-induced and phosphatase-checked shuttling of CaMKIla between distinct PSD nano-domains can regulate phase separation-mediated PSD assembly and synaptic plasticity.Qixu Caic Menglong Zeng Xiandeng Wu Haowei Wu Yumeng Zhan Ruijun Tian Mingjie Zhang 2021Cell Research2021,31,1:3
3Reliable assessment approach of landslide susceptibility in broad areas based on optimal slope units and negative samples involving priori knowledge显示文摘Reliable assessment of landslide susceptibility in broad areas of terrain remains challenging due to complex topography and poor representation of randomly selected negative samples.Assessment in broad areas is now primarily based on grid units,which do not have a clear physical meaning like slope units,and their accuracy is not ideal.Nevertheless,the large amount of manual editing,due to the incorrectly generated horizontal and vertical lines during slope unit partitioning,limits using slope units for rapid assessment over large areas.Hence,this paper proposes a reliable susceptibility assessment approach to solve this problem based on optimal slope units and negative samples involving prior knowledge.Precisely,an algorithm to automatically extract slope units is designed to eliminate fragmented and erroneous units.Second,a samples labeling index(SLI)is defined based on the certainty factors model to select negative samples reasonably.Sichuan Province,China is selected for experimental analysis,with the results demonstrate that the optimized slope unit and the negative samples selection strategy consider prior knowledge achieve better results in the random forest model,support vector machine model,and artificial neural network model.In particular,the composite performance index AUC of artificial neural network model improved from 0.81 to 0.90.Xiao Fu Yuefan Liu Qing Zhu Daqing Ge Yun Li Haowei Zeng 2022International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1:0
4Knowledge Distillation for Mobile Edge Computation Offloading显示文摘Edge computation offloading allows mobile end devices to execute compute-inten?sive tasks on edge servers. End devices can decide whether the tasks are offloaded to edge servers, cloud servers or executed locally according to current network condition and devic?es'profiles in an online manner. In this paper, we propose an edge computation offloading framework based on deep imitation learning (DIL) and knowledge distillation (KD), which assists end devices to quickly make fine-grained decisions to optimize the delay of computa?tion tasks online. We formalize a computation offloading problem into a multi-label classifi?cation problem. Training samples for our DIL model are generated in an offline manner. Af?ter the model is trained, we leverage KD to obtain a lightweight DIL model, by which we fur?ther reduce the model's inference delay. 5Single-nucleus RNA sequencing reveals heterogeneity among multiple white adipose tissue depots显示文摘Regardless of its anatomical site,adipose tissue shares a common energy-storage role but exhibits distinctive properties.Exploring the cellular and molecular heterogeneity of white adipose tissue(WAT)is crucial for comprehending its function and properties.However,existing single-nucleus RNA sequencing(snRNA-seq)studies of adipose tissue heterogeneity have examined only one or two depots.In this study,we employed snRNA-seq to test five representative depots including inguinal,epididymal,mesenteric,perirenal,and pericardial adipose tissues in mice under physiological conditions.By analyzing the contents of main cell catego-ries and gene profiles of various depots,we identified their distinctive physiological properties.Immune cells and fibro-adipogenic progenitor cells(FAPs)showed dramatic differences among WAT depots,while adipocytes seemed to be conserved.The heightened presence of regulatory macrophages and B cells in pericardial adipose tissues implied their potential contribution to the preservation of coronary vascular function.Moreover,the selective aggregation of pericytes within mesenteric adipose tissue was likely associated with the maintenance of intestinal barrier homeostasis.Using a combination of RNA sequencing and snRNA-seq analysis,the major subpopulations of FAPs derived from these depots determined the site characteristics of FAPs to a certain extent.Our work estab-lishes a systematic and reliable foundation for investigating the heterogeneity of WAT depots and elucidating the unique roles these depots play in coordinating the function of adjacent organs.Limin Xie Wanyu Hu Haowei Zhang Yujin Ding Qin Zeng Xiyan Liao Dandan Wang Wanqin Xie Hannah Xiaoyan Hui Tuo Deng 2023Life Metabolism2023,2,6:0
