| 13 | Quasi-Conical Quantum Dot: Electron States and Quantum Transitions显示文摘The exactly solvable model of quasi-conical quantum dot, having a form of spherical sector, is proposed.Due to the specific symmetry of the problem the separation of variables in spherical coordinates is possible in the oneelectron Schrodinger equation. Analytical expressions for wave function and energy spectrum are obtained. It is shown that at small values of the stretch angle of spherical sector the problem is reduced to the conical QD problem. The comparison with previously performed works shows good agreement of results. | 14 | Electrochemical behavior of Nd in its pyrometallurgical recovery from waste magnet显示文摘High-purity Nd metal was recovered from waste Nd–Fe–B magnet by the molten salt electrowinning process with chemical pretreatment. X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS), cyclic voltammetry(CV),chronopotentiometry(CP), and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometer(ICP/AES) were used to characterize the deposit and electrochemical behaviors. The results show that NdF3 is effectively synthesized from the Nd–Fe–B magnet using HCl solution and NH4F. During the chemical treatment of the waste magnet,iron impurity is eliminated as a soluble [NH4]3[FeF6]complex. | 15 | Formation of spherical alloy microparticles in a porous salt medium显示文摘This study describes the development of a one-pot strategy to produce spherical alloy microparticles for advanced near-net-shape manufacturing processes, including additive manufacturing and powder injection molding. The Al Si12 eutectic alloy(ca. 12 wt% Si) system was chosen as the model with which the main experiments were carried out. The proposed process synergistically integrates a few common,low-cost processing techniques including the mixing of Al micrometer size particles with silicon and sodium chloride, heat-treating the mixture at temperatures of 650–810°C, and the dissolution of salt in water to produce spherical Al Si12 alloy particles without the need to rely on costly melting and atomizing techniques. This new process can use laow-cost source Al and Si powders as the raw materials to produce10–200 um-sized spherical particles of Al Si12. | 16 | Miniature,highly sensitive MOSCAP ring modulators in co-optimized electronic-photonic CMOS显示文摘Convergence of high-performance silicon photonics and electronics,monolithically integrated in state-of-the-art CMOS platforms,is the holy grail for enabling the ultimate efficiencies,performance,and scaling of electronicphotonic systems-on-chip.It requires the emergence of platforms that combine state-of-the-art RF transistors with optimized silicon photonics,and a generation of photonic device technology with ultralow energies,increased operating spectrum,and the elimination of power-hungry thermal tuning.In this paper,in a co-optimized monolithic electronics-photonics platform(GlobalFoundries 45 CLO),we turn the metal-oxide-semiconductor(MOS) field-effect transistor’s basic structure into a novel,highly efficient MOS capacitor ring modulator.It has the smallest ring cavity(1.5 μm radius),largest corresponding spur-free free spectral range(FSR=8.5 THz),and record 30 GHz/V shift efficiency in the O-band among silicon modulators demonstrated to date.With 1 V_(pp) RF drive,we show an open optical eye while electro-optically tuning the modulator to track over 400 pm(69 GHz) change in the laser wavelength(using 2.5 V_(DC) range).A 90 GHz maximum electro-optic resonance shift is demonstrated with under 40 nW of power,providing a strong nonthermal tuning mechanism in a CMOS photonics platform.The modulator has a separately optimized body layer but shares the gate device layer and the gate oxide with 45 nm transistors,while meeting all CMOS manufacturability design rules.This type of convergent evolution of electronics and photonics may be the future of platforms for high-performance systemson-chip. | HAYK GEVORGYAN ANATOL KHILO MARK T.WADE VLADIMIR M.STOJANOVIC MILOS A.POPOVIC | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,1: | 0 |
