| 1 | Liberation characteristics of coal middlings comminuted by jaw crusher and ball mill显示文摘The associated minerals make coal middlings possess a relatively high ash content.Subsequent liberation through size reduction can cause recovery increase.However,effect of comminution facilities on mineral liberation of middlings was ignored.This paper studied the liberation characteristics of middlings crushed with different kinds of fragmentation forces.Middlings of 3 mm+0.5 mm sampled from a dense medium cyclone were comminuted by a jaw crusher and a ball mill to 0.5 mm with similar size distribution respectively.The generating mechanism of fnes was also analyzed.Full densimetric analyses indicate that mineral liberation of the product crushed by the jaw crusher is better than that by the ball mill at each fraction.For sizes of 0.125 mm+0.074 mm and 0.074 mm,yields of the product with ash content 11%comminuted by jaw crusher are nearly 20%higher than that by the ball mill.Sectional micrographs observed by the scanning electron microscopy(SEM)also show the same law for these two fractions and some intergrowth particles still exist in the fraction of 0.5 mm+0.25 mm. | Xie Weining He Yaqun Zhu Xiangnan Ge Linhan Huang Yajun Wang Haifeng | 2013 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,5: | 12 |
| 2 | Numerical simulation of the pulsing air separation field based on CFD显示文摘The flow field of pulsing air separation is normally in an unsteady turbulence state.With the application of the basic principles of multiphase turbulent flows,we established the dynamical computational model,which shows a remarkable variation of the unstable pulsing air flow field.CFD(computational fluid dynamics) was used to conduct the numerical simulation of the actual geometric model of the classifier.The inside velocity of the flowing fields was analyzed later.The simulation results indicate that the designed structure of the active pulsing air classifier provided a favorable environment for the separation of the particles with different physical characters by density.We shot the movement behaviors of the typical tracer grains in the active pulsing flow field using a high speed dynamic camera.The displacement and velocity curves of the particles in the continuous impulse periods were then analyzed.The experimental results indicate that the effective separation by density of the particles with the same settling velocity and different ranges of the density and particle size can be achieved in the active pulsing airflow field.The experimental results provide an agreement with the simulation results. | He Jingfeng He Yaqun Zhao Yuemin Duan Chenlong Ye Cuiling | 2012 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2: | 12 |
| 3 | Numerical simulation and experimental verification of bubble size distribution in an air dense medium fluidized bed显示文摘Bubble size distribution is the basic apparent performance and obvious characteristics in the air dense medium fluidized bed (ADMFB). The approaches of numerical simulation and experimental verification were combined to conduct the further research on the bubble generation and movement behavior. The results show that ADMFB could display favorable expanded characteristics after steady fluidization. With different particle size distributions of magnetite powder as medium solids, we selected an appropriate prediction model for the mean bubble diameter in ADMFB. The comparison results indicate that the mean bubble diameters along the bed heights are 35 mm < D b < 66 mm and 40 mm < D b < 69 mm with the magnetite powder of 0.3 mm+0.15mm and 0.15mm+0.074mm, respectively. The prediction model provides good agreements with the experimental and simulation data. Based on the optimal operating gas velocity distribution, the mixture of magnetite powder and <1mm fine coal as medium solids were utilized to carry out the separation experiment on 6-50mm raw coal. | 4 | Relationship between coal size reduction and energy input in Hardgrove mill显示文摘Hardgrove grindability index (HGI) is an important indicator of coal grindability, and is one of the most important parameters to determine the capacity of coal pulverizer in power station. However, HGI is an empirical grindability index without linkages to any known physical parameters. To investigate the effect of energy input on the grinding in Hardgrove mill, a T20WN torque meter was installed on the shaft of a modified Hardgrove mill to record the torque driving the mill. Samples from four kinds of coals with HGI ranging from 36 to 72 were prepared according to the procedure of standard HGI test and ground in a modified Hardgrove mill at different revolutions. The relation of sample size reduction degree to specific comminution energy (E cs ) was studied with Shi-Kojovic model. The results show that Shi-Kojovic model predicted well the coal size reduction degree with E cs in Hardgrove mill. The grindability index given by Shi-Kojovic model has a similar trend with HGI. | 5 | Experiment and simulation on the pyrite removal from the recirculating load of pulverizer with a dilute phase gas-solid fluidized bed显示文摘In order to reduce the energy consumption and subsequent air pollution of coal-fired power station, based on the analysis to size and density distribution of particles from the recirculating load of the classifier of pulverizer, the separation experiment on sampling material from power plant with a dilute phase fluidized bed to remove pyrite and other minerals and numerical simulation on the separation process were done. The results show that the minimum fluidization velocity is 1.62 cm/s. Pyrite and other minerals in the material are separated. Ash of the upper and bottom layer material account for 33.34% and 73.42% respectively and sulfur content occupy 1.12% and 8.96% respectively. Scanning electron microscopy and spectroscopy tests show that sulfur in the bottom material exist in the form of pyrite. | 6 | Breakage and separation mechanism of ZGM coal mill based on parameters optimization model显示文摘Sampling ports were firstly drilled on a ZGM95 coal mill in the power plant in China, and the coal samples from various points in the pulverizer were collected under the different operation conditions. The property of the sampling material from the mill was analyzed, applying the float–sink test, size distribution analysis, proximate analysis and so on. It was indicated that the +250 lm fraction in the pulverized fuel accounted for only 0.02%, while it was 83.2% in the new feed. The circulating ratio and coal flow in the separator and the cone zone were calculated using the mass balance of the circulating load. So, the circulating ratio in the separator of the pulverizer was between 8 and 13, and the circulating ratio, the feed flow of separator and cone zone all raised with the increase of the air volume. Furthermore, the parameters of the separation functions were obtained based on the fitting method. | 7 | Size distribution of wet crushed waste printed circuit boards显示文摘A wet impact crusher was used to breakdown waste printed circuit boards (PCB's) in a water medium. The relationship between the yield of crushed product and the operating parameters was established. The crushing mechanism was analyzed and the effects of hammerhead style, rotation speed, and inlet water volume on particle size distribution were investigated. The results show that the highest yield of 1 + 0.75 mm sized product was obtained with an inlet water volume flow rate of 5.97 m 3 /h and a smooth hammerhead turning at 1246.15 r/min. Cumulative undersize-product yield curves were fitted to a nonlinear function: the fitting correlation coefficient was greater than 0.998. | 9 | A comparative investigation of the properties of coal-water slurries prepared from Australia and Shenhua coals显示文摘Two coal samples of similar rank were chosen from Australia and China to investigate the differences in Coal-Water Slurry (CWS) made from them. The effect of ash content and particle size gradation on these properties was also studied. Different grinding times were used when grinding the two coals and particle size analysis of these ground coals was used to select samples with a ''double-peak'' particle size distribution. All the ''double-peak'' samples were used to prepare a CWS. The concentration, viscosity, fluidity, and stability of each CWS were measured. The results show that the properties of a CWS prepared from a coal sample with a ''double-peak'' size distribution are better than those CWS prepared from samples with a mono-modal particle distribution. The ash content of Australian coal is 21.72% higher than the ash content of Shenhua coal. The highest coal concentration in slurry from the Australia coal is 11.01% higher than in CWS from the Shenhua coal. The fluidity and stability of the CWS prepared from the Australian coal are both better than the fluidity and stability of slurry prepared from Shenhua coal. | 10 | Effects of the grinding process on the preparation and qualities of CWS显示文摘Two different grinding processes were examined to determine the effect grinding has on the quality of a CWS. A series of slurries was prepared from Australian (Au) and Chinese (YZ) coals. Both types of coal were ground by a Chinese (CUMT) and an Australian (JK) grinding process. The performance tests of the prepared CWS showed that fluidity of all slurries was acceptable. The concentration of the CWS from YZ coal ground by the CUMT grinding process was higher than when the JK grinding process was used. The highest concentration was 70.14% in this case. The concentration of the CWS prepared from Au coal by the JK grinding process was higher than when the CUMT grinding process was used. The highest con- centration in this case was 70.97%. | 11 | Determination of time-and size-dependent fine particle emission with varied oil heating in an experimental kitchen显示文摘Particulate matter(PM) from cooking has caused seriously indoor air pollutant and aroused risk to human health.It is urged to get deep knowledge of their spatial-temporal distribution of source emission characteristics,especially ultrafine particles(UFP < 100 nm) and accumulation mode particles(AMP 100-555 nm).Four commercial cooking oils are auto dipped water to simulate cooking fume under heating to 255℃ to investigate PM emission and decay features between 0.03 and 10 μm size dimension by electrical low pressure impactor(ELPI) without ventilation.Rapeseed and sunflower produced high PM_(2.5) around5.1 mg/m^3,in comparison with those of soybean and corn(5.87 and 4.55 mg/m^3,respectively)at peak emission time between 340 and 450 sec since heating oil,but with the same level of particle numbers 6-9 × 10~5/cm^3.Mean values of PM_(1.0)/PM_(2.5) and PM_(2.5)/PM_(10) at peak emission time are around 0.51-0.55 and 0.23-0.29.After 15 min naturally deposition,decay rates of PM_(1.0),PM_(2.5) and PM_(10) are 13.3%-29.8%,20.1%-33.9%and 41.2%-54.7%,which manifest that PM_(1.0) is quite hard to decay than larger particles,PM_(2.5) and PM_(1.0).The majority of the particle emission locates at 43 nm with the largest decay rate at 75%,and shifts to a larger size between137 and 555 nm after 15 min decay.The decay rates of the particles are sensitive to the oil type. | Shuangde Li Jiajia Gao Yiqing He Liuxu Cao Ang Li Shengpeng Mo Yunfa Chen Yaqun Cao | 2017 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,1: | 3 |
| 12 | Triboelectric properties of ilmenite and quartz minerals and investigation of triboelectric separation of ilmenite ore显示文摘Triboelectric separation, as an entirely dry technology, is a prospective method to process fine minerals.The aim of this paper is to investigate the performance of triboelectric separation of ilmenite and quartz minerals in a lab unit and to get ready for the separation of ilmenite ore. A tribocharge measurement system was used to test the triboelectric properties of ilmenite and quartz particles with tribochargers respectively made of PVC, PPR, PMMA, Teflon, copper, stainless steel and quartz glass. The results show that the ilmenite particles charged positively while quartz charged negatively when tribocharged with PVC tribocharger. The mixture of 12% ilmenite and 88% quartz was prepared for the triboelectric separation. The recovery of ilmenite increases with the increase of airflow rate, decreases with the increasing feed rate, and grows up firstly and then decreases with the increasing voltage. A maximum ilmenite recovery of 51.71% with ilmenite content 32.72% was obtained at 40 m^3/h airflow rate, 6 g/s feed rate and 20 kV voltage. | 14 | Enumeration and molecular characterization of circulating tumor cell using an in vivo capture system in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck显示文摘Objective: Detection rate and isolation yield of circulating tumor cell(CTC) are low in squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck(SCCHN) with in vitro approaches due to limited sample volumes. In this study, we applied the Cell Collector to capture CTC in vivo from peripheral blood.Methods: In total, the study included 22 cases with 37 times of detection. All of the patients were newly diagnosed with locally advanced or metastatic SCCHN, including laryngocarcinoma(40.9%, 9/22) and hypopharyngeal carcinoma(59.1%, 13/22). All patients received CTC analysis before treatment. Three patients received induction chemotherapy. Sixteen patients received surgical therapy, of which 13 patients received postoperative detection. Two patients received both induction chemotherapy and surgery treatment. Patients underwent two successive Cell Collector applications 24 h before and 7 d after surgical therapy. Nine healthy volunteers were enrolled as the control group. Epidermal growth factor receptor variant type Ⅲ(EGFRⅧ)expression was analyzed with fluorescent dye labeled antibody.Results: With Cell Collector isolation, 72.7%(16/22) of the patients were positive for ≥1 CTC(CTC; range,1–17 cells) before treatments and 46.7%(7/15) of patients were CTC positive for ≥1 CTC(CTC; range, 1–29 cells) after surgical therapy. Moreover, the detection rate of Cell Collector(82.4%, 14/17; CTC count range, 0–17)in advanced SCCHN(stage Ⅲ–Ⅳ) was much higher than that in early stages(stage Ⅰ–Ⅱ, 40.0%, 2/5; CTC count range, 0–2)(P<0.05). EGFRⅧ expression of CTC was also analyzed with fluorescence staining.
