| 1 | Effects of levonorgestrel-quinestrol(EP-1)treatment on Mongolian gerbil wild populations:a case study显示文摘Rodent pest population outbreaks occur frequently in grassland ecosystems in northern China.The Mongolian gerbil(Meriones unguiculatus)is a dominant pest rodent which is distributed across the semi-desert grasslands of Inner Mongolia,China.In 2009,we studied the contraceptive effect of levonorgestrel-quinestrol(EP-1),concentration 50 ppm,on a wild Mongolian gerbil population.The one-off contraceptive treatment was compared with a control group using a semi-monthly live trapping method in the Ordos Semi-desert Grassland Region of Inner Mongolia.The results show that juveniles were not recruited in spring in the treatment group.Ratios of juveniles in the control and treatment groups showed significant semi-monthly differences from spring to summer(one-way ANOVA,F_(2,14)=7.53,P<0.05).Between both groups,annual fluctuations of juvenile and total population densities were significantly different respectively(F_(2,14)=4.64,P<0.05;F_(2,18)=7.72,P<0.05).The contraceptive EP-1 delayed the normal reproductive pattern of Mongolian gerbil populations.This suppressed birth rates of gerbil populations,reduced their densities,and changed their age structures.The period of EP-1 baiting should be extended but it could be an ideal method for controlling Mongolian gerbil populations during each breeding season. | Heping FU Jinwei ZHANG Dazhao SHI Xiaodong WU | 2013 | Integrative Zoology2013,8,3: | 2 |

| 7 | Ionic Covalent Organic Framework:What Does the Unique Ionic Site Bring to Us?显示文摘Ionic covalent organic frameworks featuring both crystallinity and charged sites have arose tremendous attention from scientific community. The adjustable textural structures, well-defined channels and abundant charged sites of ionic COFs facilitate great potential in diverse aspects, such as separation, ion conduction, sensing, catalysis and energy storage. In this review, we first introduced the design and construction of ionic covalent organic frameworks(COFs), and classified them according to the types of charged sites. We focused on the various applications of ionic COFs in diverse fields. The structure-function relationship was also explored in detail. | 8 | Niche characteristics of rodents by diverse disturbance in Alashan desert,Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Four diverse disturbance types,namely,farmland,rotationally grazed grassland,overgrazed grassland and forbidden grazing grassland,were identified in the Alashan desert region of Inner Mongolia.Rodents were sampled in April,July and October in 2002 and 2003 using the trap-day method.Their spatial and temporal niches among the four disturbance types were assessed using the Shannon-Wiener niche breadth index and the Pianka niche overlap index.The Shannon-Wiener niche breadth index was the highest for Allactaga sibirica and Meriones meridianus(0.925 and 0.908,respectively),intermediate for Cricetulus eversmanni,Phodopus roborovskii and Citellus dauricus(0.789,0.782 and 0.711,respectively),and lowest for Cardiocranius paradoxus(0.003).The Pianka niche overlap indices of six-paired species were the highest and varied from 0.900 to 1.000,suggesting their spatial niche overlapped almost completely.Conversely,the spatial niche overlap index for Meriones unguiculatus,Cardiocranius paradoxus,and Salpingotus kozlovi was zero,thus indicating a complete absence of competition among them.In addition,the tem-poral niche breadth and overlap indices varied greatly in rela-tion to disturbance types and season.The level of temporal niche overlap in spring and autumn was low while in summer it was high.For all disturbance types and for each season,the temporal niche overlap index of Meriones meridianus and Cricetulus barabansis was always highest but for Meriones unguiculatus and Salpingotus kozlovi always lowest. | FU Heping WU Xiaodong YANG Zelong | 2007 | Frontiers in Biology2007,2,4: | 0 |
| 9 | Fluctuations and patterns of desert rodent communities under human disturbance:fluctuating tendency and sensitive response of their population显示文摘The four kinds of sites under different kinds of human disturbances,i.e.a farmland area,a rotational-grazing area,an over-grazing area and a prohibited-grazing area,were selected in the typical region of the Alashan Desert of Inner Mongolia from April to October in 2002,2003 and 2004 respectively.The fluctuating tendency of rodent communities and the sensitive response of their populations were studied using mark-recapture and trap-day methods.The four kinds of mark-recapture samples and line samples were taken in different human disturbance areas.The area of the mark-recapturing sample was 0.95 hm2 and that of the line sample was 10 km2.The samples were collected every month in the mark-recapturing sites for four consecutive days and in line sites in April,July and October every year.The variable matrix was composed of the numbers of captured rodents of the rodent communities.The sensitive response of the populations in the communities was analyzed with principal component analysis(PCA).Results showed that there were different types of rodent communities under different kinds of human disturbance on two scales in three years.In each scale,there were large differences in both the number of species and the number of main population in the rodent communities under different kinds of human disturbance on the farmland area and over-grazing area especially.The results of PCA showed that the sensitive response of the populations of the communities was significantly different under different kinds of human disturbance on the two scales in the three years.Cricetulus barabensis was the most sensitive on the farmland area,there were no differences in sensitive response of the various rodents on the rotational-grazing area,and Dipus sagitta and Phodopus roborovskii were the most sensitive in the over-grazing area. | Xiaodong WU Heping FU | 2008 | Frontiers in Biology2008,3,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Triazine-based multicomponent metallacages with tunable structures for SO_(2) selective capture and conversion显示文摘The design of novel materials for sulfur dioxide(SO_(2))capture and conversion with considerable efficiency under mild conditions is of great significance for human health and environmental protection yet highly challenging.Herein,we report a series of triazine-based multicomponent metallacages via coordination-driven self-assembly of 2,4,6-tri(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine,cis-Pt(PEt3)2(OTf)2 and different tetracarboxylic ligands.As the increase of the length of the tetracarboxylates,the structures of the metallacages change from pyramids to extended octahedrons.Owing to their N-rich structure,these metallacages are further used for selective SO_(2)capture,showing good adsorption capacity and remarkable SO_(2)/CO_(2)selectivity in ambient conditions,suggesting their potential applications toward real flue gas desulfurization.The metallacages are further employed for the conversion of SO_(2)into value-added compounds,showing exceptional efficiency even dilute SO_(2)is used as the reactant.This study represents a type of structure-tunable triazinebased metallacages for SO_(2)capture and conversion,which will pave the way on the applications of metal-organic complexes for gas adsorption. | Ruoqian Zhang Dingyue Hu Yu Fu Qian Feng Chaoqun Mu Kai Gao Heping Ma Ming Liu Mingming Zhang | 2024 | Aggregate2024,5,1: | 0 |
