4Bounding box based on probability density for the pedestrian tracking显示文摘This paper proposes a pedestrian tracking approach using bounding box based on probability densities.It is generally a difficult task to track features like corner points in outdoor images due to complex environment.To solve this problem,the feature points are projected along X and Y direction separately,and a histogram is constructed for each projection,with horizontal axis as positions and vertical axis as the number of feature points that lie on each position.Finally,the vertical axis is normalized for expression as probability.After histogram is constructed,the probability of each feature point is checked with a threshold.A feature point will be ignored if its probability is lower than a threshold,while the remaining feature points are grouped,based on which a bounding box is made.Kanade-Lucas Tomasi(KLT)algorithm is adopted as the tracking algorithm because it is able to track local features in images robustly.The efficiency of the tracking results using this method is verified in real environment test.Jaehyun So Hernsoo Hahn Youngjun Han 2012Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation2012,3,4:0
5Fast stereo matching based on edge energy information显示文摘A new improvement is proposed for stereo matching which gives a solution to disparity map in terms of edge energy.We decompose the stereo matching into three parts:sparse disparity estimation for image-pairs,edge energy model and final disparity refinement.A three-step procedure is proposed to solve them sequentially.At the first step,we perform an initial disparity model using the ordering constraint and interpolation to obtain a more efficient sparse disparity space.At the second step,we apply the energy function by the edge constraints that exist in both images.The last step is a kind of disparity filling.We determine disparity values in target regions based on global optimization.The proposed three-step simple stereo matching procedure yields excellent quantitative and qualitative results with Middlebury data sets in a fast way.Youngjoon Han Hernsoo Hahn 2012Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation2012,3,2:0
6Improved color feature arrangement for mean shift tracking显示文摘In order to reduce redundant empty bin capacity in the probability representation,we present a new color feature arrangement mechanism for mean shift tracking objects.In the proposed mechanism,the important optimal color,or we call it optimal color vector,is clustered by closing Euclidean distance which happens inside the original RGB color 3-D spatial domain.After obtaining clustering colors from the reference image RGB spatial domain,novel clustering groups substitute for original color data.So the new color substitution distribution is as similar as the original one.And then target region in the candidate frame is mapped by the constructed optimal clustering colors and the cluster Indices.In the final,mean shift algorithm gives a performance in the new optimal color distribution.Comparison under the same circumstance between the proposed algorithm and conventional mean shift algorithm shows that the former has a certain advantage in computation cost.Xiaowei An Youngjoon Han Hernsoo Hahn 2013Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation2013,4,1:0
7Outdoor travel-aids using bird-eye view virtual camera显示文摘This paper presents a travel-aid system for sight-impaired pedestrians in outdoor environment.Unlike many existing travel-aid systems that rely on stereo-vision,the proposed system aims to detect generic obstacles in a cluttered road environment by using just the single camera attached to user's body.To achieve this goal,the original image is re-sampled and mapped to a bird-eye view virtual plane,on which background edges are sub-sampled while obstacle edges are oversampled.Morphology filters with connected component analysis are used to enhance obstacle edges as edge-blobs with larger size,whereas sparse edges from background are filtered out.Based on the identified obstacles,safe walking areas are estimated by calculating a polar edge histogram.The algorithm is tested in different sidewalk scenes with complex pavements,and its efficiency has been confirmed.Hernsoo Hahn Youngjoon Han 2012Journal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation2012,3,3:0
8Lane Detection Based on Contrast Improvement in Foggy Road Image显示文摘This paper proposes a lane detection algorithm using sub stretching of histogram.First of all,makes a decision whether the image has foggy or not.For this,sets the interest region and analyzes the histogram of the region.
