| 1 | A New Nodes-Based Model for Optimization of Heat Exchanger Network Synthesis显示文摘Searching the global optimal value in heat exchanger network synthesis (HENS) becomes more difficult along with the increasing scale of cases.In structural opitimization model,such as stage-wise superstructure,solution domain can be enlarged by adding the stages of network,which would involve multiple integer and continuous variables in optimization and result in a decreasing computational efficiency.Thus,a new nodes-based model with stream splits is proposed,which can promote the quality of result and decrease time consumption at the same time.The characteristic of this model is that it changes the matching mode of heat exchangers by setting the number of nodes on streams to quantify the positions of heat exchangers.The proposed nodes-based model has more flexibility in generating and eliminating the heat exchangers and strong ductility in exploring the solution domain.The random walk with compulsive evolution is modified for enhancing its searching ability and applying modified random walk algorithm with compulsive evolution (RWCE) into the new proposed model.The obtained results of Case 1,Case 2 and Case 3 are superior to those reported in the literature,which decreases 106 USD·a-1,1253 USD·a-1,23 444 USD·a-1,respectively,verifying the robust effectiveness of this new model in solving HENS problem. | XU Yue HERI Ambonisye Kayange XIAO Yuan CUI Guomin | 2021 | Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2: | 4 |
| 2 | Development and Characterization of Eco-Friendly Non-Isocyanate Urethane Monomer from Jatropha curcas Oil for Wood Composite Applications显示文摘The aim of this research work was to evaluate the potential of using renewable natural feedstock,i.e.,Jatropha curcas oil(JCO)for the synthesis of non-isocyanate polyurethane(NIPU)resin for wood composite applications.Commercial polyurethane(PU)is synthesized through a polycondensation reaction between isocyanate and poly-ol.However,utilizing toxic and unsustainable isocyanates for obtaining PU could contribute to negative impacts on the environment and human health.Therefore,the development of PU from eco-friendly and sustainable resources without the isocyanate route is required.In this work,tetra-n-butyl ammonium bromide was used as the activator to open the epoxy ring with 3-Aminopropyltriethoxisylane as a catalyst to yield urethane of JCO(UJCO).The UJCO were characterized by Fourier Transform Infra-Red spectroscopy(FTIR)and their oxirane,and hydroxyl values were measured.The result showed that a decrease in oxirane value was found while the hydroxyl value was increased during the time,confirming that the urethane group was formed.The presence of functional groups in FTIR spectra at wave numbers 1732.08,1562.34,and 3348.42 cm^(−1) indicates the functional groups of C=O(urethane carbonyl),–NH,and–OH,respectively confirmed this finding.The potential applications of NIPU in the wood composite were also outlined. | Samsul Bhakri Muhammad Ghozali Edy Cahyono Evi Triwulandari Witta Kartika Restu Nissa Nurfajrin Solihat Apri Heri Iswanto Petar Antov Viktor Savov Lee Seng Hua ErikaAyu Agustiany Lubos Kristak Widya Fatriasari | 2023 | Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,1: | 2 |

| 20 | Mechanism of spinal cord injury regeneration and the effect of human neural stem cells-secretome treatment in rat model显示文摘BACKGROUND Globally,complete neurological recovery of spinal cord injury(SCI)is still less than 1%,and 90%experience permanent disability.The key issue is that a pharmacological neuroprotective-neuroregenerative agent and SCI regeneration mechanism have not been found.The secretomes of stem cell are an emerging neurotrophic agent,but the effect of human neural stem cells(HNSCs)secretome on SCI is still unclear.AIM To investigate the regeneration mechanism of SCI and neuroprotective-neuroregenerative effects of HNSCs-secretome on subacute SCI post-laminectomy in rats.METHODS An experimental study was conducted with 45 Rattus norvegicus,divided into 15 normal,15 control(10 mL physiologic saline),and 15 treatment(30μL HNSCssecretome,intrathecal T10,three days post-traumatic).Locomotor function was evaluated weekly by blinded evaluators.Fifty-six days post-injury,specimens were collected,and spinal cord lesion,free radical oxidative stress(F2-Isoprostanes),nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB),matrix metallopeptidase 9(MMP9),tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),B cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),nestin,brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor(GDNF)were analyzed.The SCI regeneration mechanism was analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling(PLS SEM).RESULTS HNSCs-secretome significantly improved locomotor recovery according to Basso,Beattie,Bresnahan(BBB)scores and increased neurogenesis(nestin,BDNF,and GDNF),neuroangiogenesis(VEGF),anti-apoptotic(Bcl-2),anti-inflammatory(IL-10 and TGF-β),but decreased proinflammatory(NF-κB,MMP9,TNF-α),F2-Isoprostanes,and spinal cord lesion size.The SCI regeneration mechanism is valid by analyzed outer model,inner model,and hypothesis testing in PLS SEM,started with pro-inflammation followed by anti-inflammation,anti-apoptotic,neuroangiogenesis,neurogenesis,and locomotor function.CONCLUSION HNSCs-secretome as a potential neuroprotective-neuroregenerative agent for the treatment of SCI and uncover the SCI regeneration mechanism. | I Nyoman Semita Dwikora Novembri Utomo Heri Suroto | 2023 | World Journal of Orthopedics2023,14,2: | 1 |
