| 1 | Stochastic optimization for retailers with distributed wind generation considering demand response显示文摘In this paper, a multi-stage stochastic model is presented for a renewable distributed generation(RDG)-owning retailer to determine the trading strategies existing in a competitive electricity market. Uncertainties associated with wholesale electricity market price, clients' consumption and power output of wind resources are considered through auto regressive integrated moving average(ARIMA) approach. In the proposed method, three trading floors are addressed for the retailer to hedge against the uncertainties. In the first stage, the retailer participates in day-ahead market to supply the clients and in the second stage, intraday market is addressed to allow the retailer to modify the schedule of its clients' consumption/RDG production. Due to unfavorable uncertainties, especially in renewable power production, real-time market is considered in the third stage to diminish the uncertainty at power delivery time. Cost function of wind resources considering capital, operation and maintenance(O&M) cost is incorporated in the objective function to increase the applicability of the mechanism. The proposed approach is formulated for risk-averse and risk-taker retailer through conditional value at risk(CVaR) approach. In order to study the impact of retail strategies on consumption patternand consumers' electricity bills, time-of-use(TOU)demand response programs are discussed in this paper.Formulating the problem, the mixed integer non-linear programming(MILNP) problem is transformed into mixed integer linear programming(MILP) by jointly using decomposition and disjunctive constraints. | 2 | Risk-based maintenance scheduling of generating units in the deregulated environment considering transmission network congestion显示文摘In restructured power systems,the traditional approaches of unit maintenance scheduling(UMS)need to undergo major changes in order to be compatible with new competitive structures.Performing the maintenance on generating units may decrease the security level of transmission network and result in electricity shortage in power system;as a result,it can impose a kind of cost on transmission network as called security cost.Moreover,taking off line a generating unit for performing maintenance can change power flow in some transmission lines,and may lead to network congestion.In this study,generating unit maintenance is scheduled considering security and congestion cost with N-1 examination for transmission lines random failures.The proposed UMS approach would lead to optimum operation of power system in terms of economy and security.To achieve this goal,the optimal power flow(OPF)compatible with market mechanism is implemented.Moreover,the electricity price discovery mechanism as locational marginal pricing(LMP)is restated to analyze the impacts of UMS on nodal electricity price.Considering security and congestion cost simultaneously,this novel approach can reveal some new costs which are imposed to transmission network on behalf of generation units;as a result,it provides a great opportunity to perform maintenance in a fair environment for both generating companies(GenCo)and transmission companies(TransCo).At the end,simulation results on nine-bus test power system demonstrate that by using this method,the proposed UMS can guarantee fairness among market participants including GenCos and TransCo and ensure power system security. | Hessam GOLMOHAMADI Maryam RAMEZANI Amir BASHIAN Hamid FALAGHI | 2014 | Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2014,2,2: | 4 |
| 3 | UML-based combat effectiveness simulation system modeling within MDE显示文摘To reduce complexity, the combat effectiveness simulation system(CESS) is often decomposed into static structure,physical behavior, and cognitive behavior, and model abstraction is layered onto domain invariant knowledge(DIK) and application variant knowledge(AVK) levels. This study concentrates on the specification of CESS's physical behaviors at the DIK level of abstraction, and proposes a model driven framework for efficiently developing simulation models within model-driven engineering(MDE). Technically, this framework integrates the four-layer metamodeling architecture and a set of model transformation techniques with the objective of reducing model heterogeneity and enhancing model continuity. As a proof of concept, a torpedo example is illustrated to explain how physical models are developed following the proposed framework. | 4 | Bovine salmonellosis in Northeast of Iran:Frequency,genetic fingerprinting and antimicrobial resistance patterns of Salmonella spp.显示文摘Objective:To evaluate serovar and antimicrobial resistance patterns of Salmonella spp isolated from healthy,diseased and necropsied cows and calves in this observational study.Methods:Nineteen isolates recovered from feces and tissues of salmonellosis-affected animals of two commercial farms in north-east of Iran.In second part of the study,the two farms were sampled 4 times with an interval of 2 month.The samples included calves'feces,adult cows'feces,feeds,water,milk filters,and milk fed to calves.Five Salmonella were isolated from 332fecal samples collected from calves and peri-parturient cows.No Salmonella was recovered from water,feed,milk filers and milk fed to calves.Results:Salmonella Typhimurium was the most frequently isolate among all sero-groups.S.Dublin was only accounted for 8%(two out of 24)of isolates.Isolated Salmonella strains were used for the ERIC PCR DNA fingerprinting assay.Our results grouped Salmonella isolates into 3 clusters,suggesting that specific genotypes were responsible for each sero-group of Salmonella.The results also revealed diversity among Salmonella isolates in cluster III(sero-group B).Eighteen out of 19 Salmonella spp.were resistant to oxytetracycline.Five isolates out of 19 showed more than one drug resistance.Multi-drug resistance was seen only among Salmonella Typhimurium isolates.Enrofloxacin was the most susceptible antibiotic against all isolates in this study.Conclusion:The emergence of multiple antibiotic-resistant strains of Salmonella Typhimurium should be of great concern to the public.No correlation between ERIC fingerprinting and resistance patterns of Salmonella isolates was found,which indicates resistance to antimicrobial agents was not related to specific genetic background. | Hessam A.Halimi Hesam A.Seifi Mehrnaz Rad | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014,4,1: | 2 |
| 5 | Model architecture-oriented combat system effectiveness simulation based on MDE显示文摘Combat system effectiveness simulation(CSES) is a special type of complex system simulation. Three non-functional requirements(NFRs), i.e. model composability, domain specific modeling, and model evolvability, are gaining higher priority from CSES users when evaluating different modeling methodologies for CSES. Traditional CSES modeling methodologies are either domain-neutral(lack of domain characteristics consideration and limited support for model composability) or domain-oriented(lack of openness and evolvability) and fall short of the three NFRs.Inspired by the concept of architecture in systems engineering and software engineering fields, we extend it into a concept of model architecture for complex simulation systems, and propose a model architecture-oriented modeling methodology in which the model architecture plays a central role in achieving the three NFRs. Various model-driven engineering(MDE) approaches and technologies,including simulation modeling platform(SMP), unified modeling language(UML), domain specific modeling(DSM), eclipse modeling framework(EMF), graphical modeling framework(GMF), and so forth, are applied where possible in representing the CSES model architecture and its components' behaviors from physical and cognitive domain aspects.
