| 1 | Methodology for fish biodiversity monitoring with environmental DNA metabarcoding:The primers,databases and bioinformatic pipelines显示文摘Environmental DNA(eDNA)originates from cellular material shed by organisms into aquatic or terrestrial environments and can be sampled and monitored using metabarcoding technology,which is revolutionizing fish biodiversity monitoring.Several reviews concerning fish eDNA have focused on standard sampling methods and its applications,though a systematic review focused on marker genes,databases,and bioinformatic pipelines has not yet been published.Here,we present a comprehensive literature review of studies applying metabarcoding technology to fish eDNA for the purpose of fish biodiversity monitoring.We systematically provide the available universal primers used to amplify barcoding sequences from fish eDNA,and then discuss reference barcoding databases,relevant bioinformatic analyses,as well as developed pipelines.The performances of universal primers and their relevant reference databases are summarized.Combined use of multiple primer pairs targeted for more than one gene marker(e.g.,12S,16S,Cytb,COI),and use of both local and public databases are recommended as approaches to improve the sensitivity and reliability of fish eDNA analyses.We also compare the effectiveness of eDNA metabarcoding to traditional approaches for monitoring fish biodiversity and highlight challenges and future perspectives associated with this new tool.Ultimately,we advocate for greater incorporation of eDNA analysis into fish biodiversity assessments to assist environmental managers. | Fan Xiong Lu Shu Honghui Zeng Xiaoni Gan Shunping He Zuogang Peng | 2022 | Water Biology and Security2022,1,1: | 3 |

| 4 | Material flow analysis and global warming potential assessment of an industrial insect-based bioconversion plant using housefly larvae显示文摘The significant increase in the demand for biomass waste treatment after garbage classification has led to housefly larvae treatment becoming an attractive treatment option.It can provide a source of protein while treating biomass waste,which means that nutrients can be returned to the natural food chain.However,the performance of this technology in terms of its environmental impacts is still unclear,particularly with regards to global warming potential(GWP).This study used a life cycle assessment(LCA)approach to assess a housefly larvae treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 50 tons of biomass waste per day.The LCA results showed that the 95% confidence intervals for the GWP in summer and winter were determined to be 24.46-32.81 kg CO_(2) equivalent(CO_(2)-eq)/ton biomass waste and5.37-10.08 kg CO_(2)-eq/ton biomass waste,respectively.The greater GWP value in summer is due to the longer ventilation time and higher ventilation intensity in summer,which consumes more power.The main GWP contributions are from(1)electricity needs(accounting for 78.6% of emissions in summer and 70.2%in winter)and(2)product substitution by mature housefly larvae and compost(both summer and winter accounting for 96.8% of carbon reduction). | Tao Lu Fan Lü Nanlin Liao Honghui Chai Hua Zhang Pinjing He | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,5: | 0 |
| 5 | Investigation on the radioactivity levels of seawater,sediments,and biota in Daya Bay,China显示文摘Objective:To investigate the radioactivity levels of seawater,sediments,and biota in the Daya Bay sea area,China,in order to establish the radioactivity baseline values,and provide basic data for the assessment of potential radiological risks that might result from the application of nuclear technology or human activities.Methods:Samples of seawater,sediments,and biota were collected from the Daya Bay sea area and analyzed.Their radioactivity baseline data were then compared with information from other regions in China and around the world reported in related literature.Results:For the seawater samples,the activity concentrations of natural radionuclide ^(40)K were 9.9-10.4 Bq/L,while ^(238)U,226Ra,^(210)Pb,^(137)Cs,and ^(110)Ag^(m) were below the minimum detectable activity(MDA).Regarding the sediment samples,the activity concentrations of ^(238)U,^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(210)Pb,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 38.1-40.4,49.1-53.7,32.6-38.6,59-95,590-650,and 0.48-0.88 Bq/(kg dry weight),respectively,while ^(110)Agm was below the MDA.For the marine shrimps in the biota samples,the activity concentrations of ^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 1.14-2.75,0.17-0.43,63-76,and 0.038-0.045 Bq/(kg wet weight),respectively,while ^(238)U,^(210)Pb,and ^(110)Agm were all below the MDA.Furthermore,for the marine fishes in the biota samples,the activity concentrations of ^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(210)Pb,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 2.1-19.7,0.32-3.78,<2.2-2.8,59-70,and<0.007-0.026 Bq/(kg wet weight),respectively,while ^(238)U and ^(110)Ag^(m) were all below the MDA.^(228)Ra was found to be concentrated in Osteomugil ophuyseni with 19.7 Bq/(kg wet weight).Conclusions:The radioactivity levels of seawater and marine sediments in the Daya Bay sea area are within the range of the normal background values.Osteomugil ophuyseni exhibited higher concentrations of ^(228)Ra than other species in this study,while the other species in the biota show no significant difference in the radioactivity levels from data in relevant literature. | Fan Cui Honghui Huang Yi Shen Zhan Tan Pengxiang Qu Ming Dai Hongwei Yu Weixu Huang Zixiang Wu Huifeng Chen Weizhen Guo Yuxin Jia Yanbing Liu | 2023 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,3: | 0 |
| 6 | Optimal Mode Decision Method for Interframe Prediction in H.264/AVC显示文摘Studies show that encoding technologies in H.264/AVC,including prediction and conversion,are essential technologies.However,these technologies are more complicated than the MPEG-4,which is a standard method and widely adopted worldwide.Therefore,the amount of calculation in H.264/AVC is significantly up-regulated compared to that of the MPEG-4.In the present study,it is intended to simplify the computational expenses in the international standard compression coding system H.264/AVC for moving images.Inter prediction refers to the most feasible compression technology,taking up to 60%of the entire encoding.In this regard,prediction error and motion vector information are proposed to simplify the computation of inter predictive coding technology.In the initial frame,motion compensation is performed in all target modes and then basic information is collected and analyzed.After the initial frame,motion compensation is performed only in the middle 8×8 modes,and the basic information amount shifts.In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method and assess the motion image compression coding,four types of motion images,defined by the international telecommunication union(ITU),are employed.Based on the obtained results,it is concluded that the developed method is capable of simplifying the calculation,while it is slightly affected by the inferior image quality and the amount of information. | Hongjin Zhu Honghui Fan Zhenqiu Shu Congzhe You Xiangjun Chen Qian Yu Pengzhen Gan | 2020 | Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,12: | 0 |
