| 1 | Ultrastructural changes in the optic nerve and capillary vessels during early stages of optic nerve injury显示文摘BACKGROUND:Capillaries are the only blood supply for optic nerves,which makes the system more vulnerable to impaired blood circulation.OBJECTIVE:To observe the ultrastructural changes in the optic nerves and capillaries in rabbits following intracanalicular segment injury to the optic nerve.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Comparative,observational,pathological morphology was performed at the Department of Anatomy,Weifang Medical College from September to November 2007.MATERIALS:Models of intracanalicular segment injury to the optic nerve were induced in the right eye of thirty healthy,adult rabbits by a free-falling metal cylinder.The H-7500 transmission electron microscope was provided by Hitachi,Japan.METHODS:All rabbits were randomly assigned into experimental(n = 25) and control(n = 5) groups.Op-tic nerve specimens were obtained from the experimental group at 0.5,6,12,48,and 96 hours,respectively,following injury.Ultrastructural changes to the optic nerves and their capillaries were observed by electron microscopy.Optic nerve injury was not established in the control group,but optic nerve specimens were col-lected similarly to the experimental group.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Ultrastructural changes in the injured optic nerves and their capillaries.RESULTS:Thirty rabbits were included in the final analysis.In the control group,cross-sections of the optic nerves exhibited varied thicknesses with regularly arranged fibers.The axons appeared to be smooth with condensed myelin sheaths and oval mitochondria.The microtubules and microfilaments were clearly seen.The lumens of the capillaries were regular with densely arranged endothelial cells and visible mitochondria.In the experimental group,30 minutes after injury to the optic nerves,swollen axons,sparse myelin sheath,disordered microtubules and microfilaments,swollen mitochondria,and a decreased number of pinocytosis vesicles and microfilaments in endothelial cells of the capillaries were observed.At 6 hours,medullary and vacuolar degeneration in the mitochondria,and swollen endothelial cells in the capillary,were visible.At 12 hours,these changes were more obvious.At 48 hours,granular dissolution of microtubules,microfilaments,and mitochondria,as well as diffuse degeneration of mitochondria in the endothelial cells,were observed.At 96 hours,axonal disintegration,vacuolar degeneration,and dilated capillaries were observed.CONCLUSION:During early stages,the injured intracanalicular optic nerve exhibited swollen axons with vacuolar degeneration,swollen and degenerated mitochondria,decreased number of microtubules and micro-filaments,and dilated capillaries with increased permeability. | Xuehong Ju Xiuyun Li Xiaoshuang Li Hongtao Tang Hongguo Liu | 2008 | Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,9: | 3 |

| 3 | Effects of heating rate on the alloy element partitioning and mechanical properties in equiaxedα+βTi-6Al-4V alloy显示文摘The effects of heating rate on the alloy element partitioning and mechanical properties during the phase transformation ofα→βin Ti-6Al-4 V alloy under solution treatment have been investigated by the experiments and phase field simulations,which reveal the evolutions of microstructure and compositions at the non-equilibrium state and well verify the experimental results.The specific results indicate that the compositions measured through electron probe micro-analysis(EPMA)under a lower heating rate are close to the equilibrium ones corresponding to the solution temperature.Heating up to the target solution temperature,as the heating rate increases,the Al content decreases and V increases in the primaryα(α_(p))grain with a larger size,the volume fraction ofα_(p)increases and the composition gradient betweenα_(p)andβphases gets steeper.The interrelated relationship among the diffusion,compositions,solution temperature and free energy of the system has been discussed in detail.Moreover,increasing the heating rate(~20.0 K/min)may help to improve the mechanical properties of the alloy by mainly adjusting theα_(p)/β;volume fractions,α_(p)particle size and secondaryα(α_(p))size during the process of heating up to the solution temperature.These results may shed some light on the optimization of the knowledge-based heat treatment route. | Jinhu Zhang Hongtao Ju Haisheng Xu Liang Yang Zhichao Meng Chen Liu Ping Sun Jianke Qiu Chunguang Bai Dongsheng Xu Rui Yang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,35: | 2 |
| 4 | Partial anammox achieved in full scale biofilm process for typical domestic wastewater treatment显示文摘The slow initiation of anammox for treating typical domestic wastewater and the relatively high footprint of wastewater treatment infrastructures are major concerns for practical wastewater treatment systems.Herein,a 300 m^(3)/d hybrid biofilm reactor(HBR)process was developed and operated with a short hydraulic retention time(HRT)of 8 h.The analysis of the bacterial community demonstrated that anammox were enriched in the anoxic zone of the HBR process.The percentage abundance of Candidatus Brocadia in the total bacterial community of the anoxic zone increased from 0 at Day 1 to 0.33%at Day 130 and then to 2.89%at Day 213.Based upon the activity of anammox bacteria,the removal of ammonia nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N)in the anoxic zone was approximately 15%.This showed that the nitrogen transformation pathway was enhanced in the HBR system through partial anammox process in the anoxic zone.The final effluent contained 12 mg/L chemical oxygen demand(COD),0.662 mg/L NH_(4)^(+)-N,7.2 mg/L total nitrogen(TN),and 6 mg/L SS,indicating the effectiveness of the HBR process for treating real domestic wastewater. | Feng Hou Ting Zhang Yongzhen Peng Xiaoxin Cao Hongtao Pang Yanqing Shao Xianchun Lu Ju Yuan Xi Chen Jin Zhang | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,3: | 2 |

| 7 | Impact Toughness of Heat-Affected Zones of 11Cr Heat-Resistant Steels显示文摘Aiming at the requirements of structural steel in Gen-IV nuclear reactor, the high-chromium martensitic heat-resistant steels containing 10–12% chromium were developed. The toughness of heat-affected zones(HAZs) is one of the important factors for evaluating the weldability of steels. In this paper, the simulated HAZs were fabricated using tempered SIMP steels. The effects of microstructures on the impact toughness of materials were analyzed using Vickers hardness tester, optical microscope, transmission electron microscope. Experimental results demonstrated that the HAZs of weldment were poor in toughness, much lower than that of the base metal. However, after experiencing post-weld heat treatment, the toughness of the HAZs increased greatly. The toughness became better in terms of CG-HAZ, FG-HAZ and IC-HAZ for the two steels, regardless of as-welded or after PWHT. Compared with SIMP7 steel, chemical compositions, such as C, Si, Mn and Cr, were adjusted to a lower content;the toughness of base metal and simulated HAZs was better in the case of SIMP11. | 11 | Phase field simulation of the stress-inducedαmicrostructure in Ti–6Al–4 V alloy and its CPFEM properties evaluation显示文摘Variant selection under specific applied stresses during precipitation of a plates from prior-βmatrix in Ti-6 Al-4 V was investigated by 3 D phase field simulations.The model incorporates the Burgers transformation path fromβto a phase,with consideration of interfacial energy anisotropy,externally applied stresses and elastic interactions among a variants andβmatrix.The Gibbs free energy and atomic mobility data are taken from available thermodynamic and kinetic databases.It was found that external stresses have a profound influence on variant selection,and the selection has a sensitive dependence,as evidenced by both interaction energy calculations and phase field simulations.Compared with normal stresses,shear stresses applied in certain directions were found more effective in accelerating the transformation,with a stronger preference to fewer variants.The volume fractions of various a variants and the final microstructure were determined by both the external stress and the elastic interaction among different variants.The a clusters formed by variants with Type2 misorientation([11-20]/60°)relation were found more favored than those with Type4([-1055-3]/63.26°)under certain applied tensile stress such as along<111>β.The mechanical properties of different microstructures from our phase field simulation under different conditions were calculated for different loading conditions,utilizing crystal plastic finite element simulation.The mechanical behavior of the various microstructures from phase field simulation can be evaluated well before the alloys are fabricated,and therefore it is possible to select microstructure for optimizing the mechanical properties of the alloy through thermomechanical processing based on the two types of simulations. | Jinhu Zhang Xuexiong Li Dongsheng Xu Chunyu Teng Hao Wang Liang Yang Hongtao Ju Haisheng Xu Zhichao Meng Yingjie Ma Yunzhi Wang Rui Yang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,31: | 1 |
