1RAPID AND NONDESTRUCTIVE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR WELDING RESDlUAL STRESS BY ULTRASONIC METHOD显示文摘Traditional methods of residual stress measurement are generally destructive or semi-destructive,as well as expensive,time-consuming and complex to implement.With the new development of welded structure,traditional methods can not satisfy the need of full life task management.So the acoustical theory is introduced,since the ultrasonic technique provides a useful nondestructive tool in the evaluation of stresses.In this study an ultrasonic stress measurement experimental installation is established,which consists of a special transducer,a signal emission unit and a signal recipient processing unit.Longitudinal critically refracted wave is selected as the measurement wave mode.The supporting software is programmed by Labview software.The longitudinal residual stress and transverse residual stress of twin wire welded plate are measured by this installment,in which the measuring process is real-time,quick and nondestructive.The experiment results indicate that the system can satisfy the need of life evaluation for welded structure. 2Fatigue Property of Basalt Fiber-Modified Asphalt Mixture under Complicated Environment显示文摘The fatigue property of asphalt mixtures under complicated environment(low-temperature bending performance, chloride penetration, freezing-thawing cycle and their coupling effect) and the improvement effect for relevant property of basalt fiber-reinforcing asphalt mixture under complicated environment are studied. Two grading types of asphalt mixtures, AC-16 I and AC-13 I, are chosen, whose optimum asphalt-aggregate ratio and optimum dosage of basalt fiber are determined by the Marshall test. The standard specimens are made firstly, and then the low temperature bending tests of asphalt mixture and basalt fiber-reinforced asphalt mixture under the coupling effect of the chloride erosion and freezing-thawing cycle have been carried out. Finally, the fatigue property tests of asphalt mixture and basalt fiber-reinforced asphalt mixture under complex environment are performed on MTS material testing system. The results indicate that the tensile strength, the maximum curving tensile stress, the curving stiffness modulus, and fatigue properties of asphalt mixture are infl uenced by the coupling effect of the chloride erosion and freezing-thawing cycle. The low-temperature bending performance and fatigue property of asphalt mixtures under complicated environment can be greatly improved by adding moderate basalt fiber. 3Effect of Sheet Configuration on Microstructure and Mechanical Behaviors of Dissimilar Al–Mg–Si/Al–Zn–Mg Aluminum Alloys Friction Stir Welding Joints显示文摘Friction stir welding(FSW) was used to weld dissimilar Al–Mg–Si/Al–Zn–Mg aluminum alloys in this work.Influences of sheet configuration on microstructure and mechanical properties of the joints were mainly discussed.Results showed that rather different joint cross sections were obtained when using different sheet configurations.Coarser β' phases can be observed at the heat affected zone(HAZ) of the Al–Mg–Si alloy side,which was the main factor affecting the tensile properties and the fatigue properties.Tensile strengths of the dissimilar Al–Mg–Si/Al–Zn–Mg joints using both configurations were higher than that of the Al–Mg–Si FSW joint.When the Al–Zn–Mg alloy was located at the advancing side(AS),the joints owned better fatigue properties due to the bridging effect of the big secondary phase particles.Zhongjie Yan Xuesong Liu Hongyuan Fang 2016Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,12:6

6Intelligent Segmentation and Measurement Model for Asphalt Road Cracks Based on Modified Mask R-CNN Algorithm显示文摘Nowadays, asphalt road has dominated highways around the world. Among various defects of asphalt road, crackshave been paid more attention, since cracks often cause major engineering and personnel safety incidents. Currentmanual crack inspection methods are time-consuming and labor-intensive, and most segmentation methods cannot detect cracks at the pixel level. This paper proposes an intelligent segmentation and measurement model basedon the modified Mask R-CNN algorithm to automatically and accurately detect asphalt road cracks. The modelproposed in this paper mainly includes a convolutional neural network (CNN), an optimized region proposalnetwork (RPN), a region of interest (RoI) Align layer, a candidate area classification network and a Mask branch offully convolutional network (FCN). The ratio and size of anchors in the RPN are adjusted to improve the accuracyand efficiency of segmentation. Soft non-maximum suppression (Soft-NMS) algorithm is developed to improvethe segmentation accuracy. A dataset including 8,689 images (512× 512 pixels) of asphalt cracks is established andthe road crack is manually marked. Transfer learning is used to initialize the model parameters in the trainingprocess. To optimize the model training parameters, multiple comparison experiments are performed, and the testresults show that the mean average precision (mAP) value and F1-score of the optimal trained model are 0.952 and0.949. Subsequently, the robustness verification test and comparative test of the trained model are conducted andthe topological features of the crack are extracted. Then, the damage area, length and average width of the crackare measured automatically and accurately at pixel level. 7Fatigue crack initiation for Al-Zn-Mg alloy welded joint显示文摘To investigate fatigue crack initiation characteristics of Al-Zn-Mg alloy welded joint, notched specimens were used in fatigue test for the base metal, welding bead and heat affected zone (HAZ). The fatigue fracture surface near the fatigue crack initiation site was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the differences of fatigue crack initiation life among base metal, welding bead and HAZ are not obvious. Inhomogeneity in microstructure and mechanical performance of HAZ influences the fatigue crack initiation life. The ratio of fatigue crack initiation life (Ni) to fatigue failure life (Nf) for the base metal, welding bead and HAZ of A7N01 aluminium alloy welded joint are 26.32%, 40.21% and 60.67%, respectively. Fatigue crack initiation life can be predicted using a uniform model. The interfacial reaction layer thickness of jointsbrazed with conventional active filler metal and active composite filler materials with different volume fraction ofAI2O3 particulate was also studied. 11Dynamic Response Solution of Multi-Layered Pavement Structure Under FWD Load Appling the Precise Integration Algorithm显示文摘The pavement layered structures are composed of surface layer,road base and multi-layered soil foundation.They can be undermined over time by repeated vehicle loads.In this study,a hybrid numerical method which can evaluate the displacement responses of pavement structures under dynamic falling weight deflectometer(FWD)loads.The proposed method consists of two parts:(a)the dynamic stiffness matrices of the points at the surface in the frequency domain which is based on the domain-transformation and dual vector form equation,and(b)interpolates the dynamic stiffness matrices by a continues rational function of frequency.The mixed variables formulation(MVF)can treat multiple degree of freedom systems with considering the coupling term between degree of freedoms.The accuracy of the developed method has been demonstrated by comparison between the proposed method and published results from the other method.Then the proposed method can be applied as a forward calculation technique to emulate the falling weight deflectometer test for multi-layered pavement structures.Zejun Han Hongyuan Fang Juan Zhang Fuming Wang 2019Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,6:1
