Numerical modeling of large deformation and nonlinear frictional contact of excavation boundary of deep soft rock tunnel显示文摘Roadways excavated in soft rocks at great depth are difficult to be maintained due to large deformation of surrounding rocks, which greatly influences the safety and efficiency of deep resources exploitation. During the excavation process of a deep soft rock tunnel, the rock wall may be compacted due to large deformation. In this paper, the technique to address this problem by a two-dimensional (2D) finite element software, large deformation engineering analyses software (LDEAS 1.0), is provided. By using the Lagrange multiplier method, the kinematic constraint of non-penetrating condition and static constraint of Coulomb friction are introduced to the governing equations in the form of incremental displacement. The numerical example demonstrates the efficiency of this technology. Deformations of a transportation tunnel in inclined soft rock strata at the depth of 1 000 m in Qishan coal mine and a tunnel excavated to three different depths are analyzed by two models, i.e. the additive decomposition model and polar decomposition model. It can be found that the deformation of the transportation tunnel is asymmetrical due to the inclination of rock strata. For extremely soft rock, large deformation can converge only for the additive decomposition model. The deformation of surrounding rocks increases with the increase in the tunnel depth for both models. At the same depth, the deformation calculated by the additive decomposition model is smaller than that by the polar decomposition model.Xin Chen Hongyun Guo Pei Zhao Xi Peng Shizhi Wang 2011Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2011,3,S1:4
Global spherically symmetric classical solution to the Navier-Stokes-Maxwell system with large initial data and vacuum显示文摘We study the initial boundary value problem to the system of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the Maxwell equations through the Lorentz force in a bounded annulus Ω of R3. And a result on the existence and uniqueness of global spherically symmetric classical solutions is obtained. Here the initial data could be large and initial vacuum is allowed.HONG GuangYi HOU XiaoFeng PENG HongYun ZHU ChangJiang 2014Science China Mathematics2014,57,12:2

Numerical modeling of the failure process of the heterogeneous karst rock mass using the DDA-SPH method显示文摘The sanding process caused by karstification in dolomite creates a special sandy dolomite stratum, where the frequent catastrophic instability of the surrounding rock occurred during tunnel construction. In this study, the micro-origin and macro-performance of the sandy dolomite stratum are first discussed. Then,a numerical model based on the coupling method between the discontinuous deformation analysis and smoothed particle hydrodynamics is proposed to depict the heterogeneous dolomite formation with different sanding degrees.Following, the mechanical behaviors of the heterogeneous dolomite samples under uniaxial compression are studied after calibrating the numerical parameters with the two single materials sampled from the tunnel site respectively.Further, the instability disasters of the dolomite surrounding rock with different sanding degrees are reproduced, and the failure behaviors of tunnels are explained with respect to the stress distribution and plastic zone. The obtained results show that the rotation and dislocation of the remained dolomite block contribute to the unsmooth stress–strain curve and deterioration in uniaxial compressive strength. However, the block serves as the skeleton in the transmission of field stress in underground space, which improves the stability of the formation.Jingyao Gao Guangqi Chen Zhijie Wang Liping Li Yasuhiro Mitani Changze Li Hongyun Fan Xinyan Peng Yifan Jiang 2023Underground Space2023,,6:0
Advanced stability analysis method for the tunnel face in jointed rock mass based on DFN-DEM显示文摘An advanced stability analysis of surrounding rock can assure safe construction in tunnels. However,in traditional analysis methods, geometric information on the rock mass discontinuities is obtained by a geological compass and treated as an infinitely expanded plane in a numerical simulation, which is inaccurate in both geometric and numerical models. To solve this problem, this paper studied a control network and an image stitch method to assess the accuracy of a geometric model and proposed a more accurate method to obtain the geometric information of rock mass discontinuities based on digital photogrammetry.Based on discrete fracture network and discrete element method(DFN-DEM),this paper treated the rock mass discontinuities obtained by digital photogrammetry as finite disk planes and simulated the excavation process of the Qianyu tunnel.According to the simulation results, this paper determined the specific location of the collapse disaster on the tunnel face, which is of great significance to tunnel support design.Comparing the deformation of the surrounding rock mass on the tunnel face in the simulation results with the actual situation, this paper verified the feasible accuracy of this method in analysing the stability of the surrounding rock mass on a tunnel face in advance.Hongyun Fan Liping Li Peijun Zong Hongliang Liu Lanjie Yang Jing Wang Peng Yan Shangqu Sun 2023Underground Space2023,,6:0
Inhibition of ammonia-oxidizing bacteria promotes the growth of ammonia-oxidizing archaea in ammonium-rich alkaline soils显示文摘Disparities in the substrate affinity and tolerance threshold for ammonia have been believed to play a key role in driving niche differentiation between ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) and bacteria (AOB);however, recent surveys argue that direct competition between AOA and AOB is also important in this phenomenon. Accordingly, it is reasonable to predict that diverse AOA lineages would grow in ammonium (NH_(4)^(+))-rich alkaline arable soils if AOB growth is suppressed. To test this hypothesis, a microcosm study was established using three different types of alkaline arable soils, in which a high NH_(4)^(+) concentration (200 μg N g^(-1) dry soil) was maintained by routinely replenishing urea and the activities of AOB were selectively inhibited by 1-octyne or 3,4-dimethylpyrazole phosphate (DMPP). Compared with amendment with urea alone, 1-octyne partially retarded AOB growth, while DMPP completely inhibited AOB. Both inhibitors accelerated the growth of AOA, with significantly higher ratios of abundance of AOA to AOB observed with DMPP amendment across soils. Nonmetric multidimensional scaling analysis (NMDS) indicated that different treatments significantly altered the community structures of both AOA and AOB and AOA OTUs enriched by high-NH_(4)^(+) amendment were taxonomically constrained across the soils tested and closely related to Nitrososphaera viennensis EN76 and N. garnensis. Given that these representative strains have been demonstrated to be sensitive to high ammonia concentrations, our results suggest that it is the competitiveness for ammonia, rather than disparities in substrate affinity and tolerance threshold for ammonia, that drives niche differentiation between these phylotypes and AOB in NH_(4)^(+)-rich alkaline soils.Chang YIN Xiaoping FAN Hao CHEN Mujun YE Guochao YAN Tingqiang LI Hongyun PENG Shengzhe E Zongxian CHE Steven AWAKELIN Yongchao LIANG 2022Pedosphere2022,32,4:0
Global weak solutions and asymptotics of a singular PDE-ODE chemotaxis system with discontinuous data显示文摘This paper is concerned with the well-posedness and large-time behavior of a two-dimensional PDE-ODE hybrid chemotaxis system describing the initiation of tumor angiogenesis. We first transform the system via a Cole-Hopf type transformation into a parabolic-hyperbolic system and then show that the solution to the transformed system converges to a constant equilibrium state as time tends to infinity. Finally we reverse the Cole-Hopf transformation and obtain the relevant results for the pre-transformed PDE-ODE hybrid system. In contrast to the existing related results, where continuous initial data is imposed, we are able to prove the asymptotic stability for discontinuous initial data with large oscillations. The key ingredient in our proof is the use of the so-called 'effective viscous flux', which enables us to obtain the desired energy estimates and regularity. The technique of the 'effective viscous flux' turns out to be a very useful tool to study chemotaxis systems with initial data having low regularity and was rarely(if not) used in the literature for chemotaxis models.Hongyun Peng Zhi-An Wang Changjiang Zhu 2022Science China Mathematics2022,65,2:0
LncRNA NKILA inhibits HBV replication by repressing NF-κB signalling activation显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection results in liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).HBx/nuclear factor(NF)-κB pathway plays a role in HBV replication. However, whether NF-κB-interacting long noncoding RNA(NKILA),a suppressor of NF-κB activation, regulates HBV replication remains largely unknown. In this study,gain-and-loss experiments showed that NKILA inhibited HBV replication by inhibiting NF-κB activity. In turn,HBV infection down-regulated NKILA expression. In addition, expression levels of NKILA were lower in the peripheral blood-derived monocytes(PBMCs)of HBV-positive patients than in healthy individuals, which were correlated with HBV viral loads. And a negative correlation between NKILA expression level and HBV viral loads was observed in blood serum from HBV-positive patients.Lower levels of endogenous NKILA were also observed in HepG2 cells expressing a 1.3-fold HBV genome,HBV-infected HepG2-NTCP cells, stable HBV-producing HepG2.2.15 and HepAD38 cells, compared to those HBV-negative cells.Furthermore,HBx was required for NKILA-mediated inhibition on HBV replication.NKILA decreased HBx-induced NF-κB activation by interrupting the interaction between HBx and p65,whereas NKILA mutants lack of essential domains for NF-κB inhibition, lost the ability to inhibit HBV replication.Together, our data demonstrate that NKILA may serve as a suppressor of HBV replication via NF-κB signalling.Xi Zhang Yuanyuan Li Chen Huan Yubao Hou Rujia Liu Hongyun Shi Peng Zhang Baisong Zheng Yingchao Wang Hong Wang Wenyan Zhang 2024Virologica Sinica2024,39,1:0
