| 1 | Simultaneous mineralization of CO_2 and recovery of soluble potassium using earth-abundant potassium feldspar显示文摘CO2 capture and storage(CCS) is an important strategy in combatting anthropogenic climate change.However,commercial application of the CCS technique is currently hampered by its high energy expenditure and costs.To overcome this issue,CO2 capture and utilization(CCU) is a promising CO2 disposal method.We,for the first time,developed a promising method to mineralize CO2 using earth-abundant potassium feldspar in order to effectively reduce CO2 emissions.Our experiments demonstrate that,after adding calcium chloride hexahydrate as an additive,the K-feldspar can be transformed to Ca-silicates at 800 C,which can easily mineralize CO2 to form stable calcium carbonate and recover soluble potassium.The conversion of this process reached 84.7%.With further study,the pretreatment temperature can be reduced to 250 C using hydrothermal method by adding the solution of triethanolamine(TEA).The highest conversion can be reached 40.1%.The process of simultaneous mineralization of CO2 and recovery of soluble potassium can be easily implemented in practice and may provide an economically feasible way to tackle global anthropogenic climate change. | XIE HePing WANG YuFei JU Yang LIANG Bin ZHU JiaHua ZHANG Ru XIE LingZhi LIU Tao ZHOU XiangGe ZENG HongMei LI Chun LU HouFang | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,1: | 16 |
| 2 | The CO_2 absorption and desorption performance of the triethylenetetramine + N,N-diethylethanolamine + H_2O system显示文摘Post-combustion CO_2 capture(PCC) process faces significant challenge of high regeneration energy consumption.Biphasic absorbent is a promising alternative candidate which could significantly reduce the regeneration energy consumption because only the CO_2-concentrated phase should be regenerated. In this work, aqueous solutions of triethylenetetramine(TETA) and N,N-diethylethanolamine(DEEA) are found to be efficient biphasic absorbents of CO_2. The effects of the solvent composition, total amine concentration, and temperature on the absorption behavior, as well as the effect of temperature on the desorption behavior of TETA–DEEA–H2 O system were investigated. An aqueous solution of 1 mol·L-1 TETA and 4 mol·L-1 DEEA spontaneously separates into two liquid phases after a certain amount of CO_2 is absorbed and it shows high CO_2 absorption/desorption performance.About 99.4% of the absorbed CO_2 is found in the lower phase, which corresponds to a CO_2 absorption capacity of 3.44 mol·kg-1. The appropriate absorption and desorption temperatures are found to be 30 °C and 90 °C,respectively. The thermal analysis indicates that the heat of absorption of the 1 mol·L-1 TETA and 4 mol·L-1 DEEA solution is-84.38 kJ·(mol CO_2)-1 which is 6.92 kJ·(mol CO_2)-1 less than that of aqueous MEA. The reaction heat, sensible heat, and the vaporization heat of the TETA–DEEA–H2 O system are lower than that of the aqueous MEA, while its CO_2 capacity is higher. | 3 | DBU-based CO2 absorption-mineralization system: Reaction process,feasibility and process intensification显示文摘Amine-based carbon dioxide(CO2)capture is still limited by high desorption energy consumption.Fixing CO2 into carbonate is a safer and more permanent method.In this work,calcium oxide(CaO)is introduced to perform chemical desorption instead of thermal desorption on 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene(DBU)aqueous solution after CO2 absorption.The X-ray diffraction(XRD)patterns of solid products show the formation of calcite calcium carbonate(CaCO3),which prove the feasibility of this method.The effects of reaction temperature,reaction time and Ca2+/CO32-molar ratios on the related reactions in CO2 absorption-mineralization process and CaCO3 precipitation are discussed,and purer CaCO3 is obtained by ultrasonic treatment.The CaCO3 content can be increased to 95.8%and the CO2 desorption ratio can achieve 80%by 30 min ultrasonic dispersion treatment under the conditions(40℃,180 min,Ca2+/CO32-molar ratio=1.0).After five cycles,DBU aqueous solution shows stable CO2 absorption and mineralization ability.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)spectra of the reaction process also indicate the regeneration of the solvent.Compared with thermal desorption,this process is exothermic,almost without no additional heat. | Cong Luo Kejing Wu Hairong Yue Yingying Liu Yingming Zhu Wei Jiang Houfang Lu Bin Liang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,4: | 4 |

| 5 | Locating Error Considering Dimensional Errors Modeling for Multistation Manufacturing System显示文摘Multistation machining process is widely applied in contemporary manufacturing environment.Modeling of variation propagation in multistation machining process is one of the most important research scenarios.Due to the existence of multiple variation streams,it is challenging to model and analyze variation propagation in a multi-station system.Current approaches to error modeling for multistation machining process are not explicit enough for error control and ensuring final product quality.In this paper,a mathematic model to depict the part dimensional variation of the complex multistation manufacturing process is formulated.A linear state space dimensional error propagation equation is established through kinematics analysis of the influence of locating parameter variations and locating datum variations on dimensional errors,so the dimensional error accumulation and transformation within the multistation process are quantitatively described.A systematic procedure to build the model is presented,which enhances the way to determine the variation sources in complex machining systems.A simple two-dimensional example is used to illustrate the proposed procedures.Finally,an industrial case of multistation machining part in a manufacturing shop is given to testify the validation and practicability of the method.The proposed analytical model is essential to quality control and improvement for multistation systems in machining quality forecasting and design optimization. | ZHANG Faping LU Jiping TANG Shuiyuan SUN Houfang JIAO Li | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,6: | 2 |

| 13 | Cellular and animal models to investigate pathogenesis of amyloid aggregation in neurodegenerative diseases显示文摘Abnormal aggregation of amyloid proteins, e.g. amyloid β (Aβ), Tau and α-synuclein (α-syn), is closely associated with a variety of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and Parkinson’s disease (PD). Cellular and animal models are useful to explore the neuropathology of amyloid aggregates in disease initiation and progression. In this protocol, we describe detailed procedures for how to establish neuronal and PD mouse models to evaluate amyloid pathologies including self-propagation, cell-to-cell transmission, neurotoxicity, and impact on mouse motor and cognitive functions. We use α-syn, a key pathogenic protein in PD, as an example to demonstrate the application of the protocol, while it can be used to investigate the pathologies of other amyloid proteins as well.
