1Persistent organochlorine residues in sediments of Haihe River and Dagu Drainage River in Tianjin, China显示文摘Persistent organochlorine compounds were analyzed by means of GC-ECD in surface sediment samples from two selected rivers in Tianjin, Haihe River and Dagu Drainage River. A total of 16 surface sediment sites were selected along the both rivers. The frequency of detection of T-HCH and T-DDT in sediment samples both was up to 100%, which illustrated that the contamination of HCH and DDT was widespread in Haihe and Dagu Drainage Rivers. Results indicated that the concentrations of various pesticides in sediments from Haihe River were in the range of 3.30—75.96 ng/g dw for T-HCH and 1.57—211.57 ng/g dw for T-DDT. Compared with Haihe River, Dagu Drainage River was contaminated by HCHs and DDTs along the all locations and the values of T-HCH and T-DDT residues in sediments ranged from 2.30 to 124.61 ng/g dw and from 11.28 to 237.30 ng/g dw, respectively. The possible pollution sources were analyzed through monitoring results of organochlorine pesticides(OCPs) residues in sediments from the two rivers. 2An experimental investigation on the trailing edge cooling of turbine blades显示文摘An experimental study was conducted to quantify the flow characteristics of the wall jets pertinent to trailing edge cooling of turbine blades.A high-resolution stereoscopic particle image velocimetry(PIV)system was used to conduct detailed flow field measurements to quantitatively visualize the evolution of the unsteady vortices and turbulent flow structures in the cooling wall jet streams and to quantify the dynamic mixing process between the cooling jet stream and the mainstream flows.The detailed flow field measurements were correlated with the adiabatic cooling effectiveness maps measured by using pressure sensitive paint(PSP)technique to elucidate underlying physics in order to explore/optimize design paradigms for improved cooling effectiveness to protect the critical portions of turbine blades from harsh environments.Zifeng Yang Hui Hun 2012Propulsion and Power Research2012,1,1:5

6Robotic cholecystectomy with new port sites显示文摘AIM:To introduce robotic cholecystectomy(RC) using new port sites on the low abdominal area.METHODS:From June 2010 to June 2011,a total of 178 RCs were performed at Ajou University Medical Center.We prospectively collected the set-up time(working time and docking time) and console time in all robotic procedures.RESULTS:Eighty-three patients were male and 95 female;the age ranged from 18 to 72 years of age(mean 54.6 ± 15.0 years).All robotic procedures were successfully completed.The mean operation time was 52.4 ± 17.1 min.The set-up time and console time were 11.9 ± 5.4 min(5-43 min) and 15.1 ± 8.0 min(4-50 min),respectively.The conversion rate to laparoscopic or open procedures was zero.The complication rate was 0.6%(n = 1,bleeding).There was no bile duct injury or mortality.The mean hospital stay was 1.4 ± 1.1 d.There was a significant correlation between the console time and white blood cell count(r = 0.033,P = 0.015).In addition,the higher the white blood cell count(more than 10000),the longer the console time.CONCLUSION:Robotic cholecystectomy using new port sites on the low abdominal area can be safely and efficiently performed,with sufficient patient satisfaction.Ji Hun Kim Nam Hyun Baek Guangyl Li Seung Hui Choi In Ho Jeong Jae Chul Hwang Jin Hong Kim Byung Moo Yoo Wook Hwan Kim 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,20:0
