3Multiplexed Biosensing Diagnostic Platforms Detecting Autoantibodies to Tumor-Associated Antigens from Exosomes Released by CRC Cells and Tissue Samples Showed High Diagnostic Ability for Colorectal Cancer显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC)is the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide.The five-year survival rate of CRC patients depends on the stage at diagnosis,being higher than 80%when CRC is diagnosed in the early stages but lower than 10%when CRC is diagnosed in advanced stages.Autoantibodies against specific CRC autoantigens(tumor-associated antigens(TAAs))in the sera of patients have been widely demonstrated to aid in early diagnosis.Thus,we herein aim to identify autoantigens target of autoantibodies specific to CRC that possess a significant ability to discriminate between CRC patients and healthy individuals by means of liquid biopsy.To that end,we examined the protein content of the exosomes released by five CRC cell lines and tissue samples from CRC patients by means of immunoprecipitation coupled with mass spectrometry analysis.A total of 103 proteins were identified as potential autoantigens specific to CRC.After bioinformatics and meta-analysis,we selected 15 proteins that are more likely to be actual CRC autoantigens in order to evaluate their role in CRC prognosis by Western blot(WB)and immunohistochemistry(IHC).We found dysregulation at the protein level for 11 of these proteins in both tissue and plasma exosome samples from patients,along with an association of nine of these proteins with CRC prognosis.After validation,all but one showed a statistically significant high diagnostic ability to distinguish CRC patients and individuals with premalignant lesions from healthy individuals,either by luminescence Halotag-based beads,or by a multiplexed biosensing platform involving the use of magnetic microcarriers as solid support modified with covalently immobilized Halotag fusion proteins constructed for CRC detection.Taken together,our results highlight the usefulness of the approach defined here to identify the TAAs specific to chronic diseases;they also demonstrate that the measurement of autoantibody levels in plasma against the TAAs identified here could be integrated into a point-of-care(POC)device for CRC detection with high diagnostic ability.Ana Montero-Calle Itziar Aranguren-Abeigon María Garranzo-Asensio Carmen Poves María Jesús Fernández-Aceñero Javier Martínez-Useros Rodrigo Sanz Jana Dziaková Javier Rodriguez-Cobos Guillermo Solís-Fernández Eloy Povedano Maria Gamella Rebeca Magnolia Torrente-Rodríguez Miren Alonso-Navarro Vivian de los Ríos J.Ignacio Casal Gemma Domínguez Ana Guzman-Aranguez Alberto Peláez-García JoséManuel Pingarrón Susana Campuzano Rodrigo Barderas 2021Engineering2021,7,10:1

17Novel single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes with high toughness and high resistance against lithium dendrites显示文摘Solid-state polymer electrolytes are considered as an alternative to classic liquid electrolytes,particularly for application in highenergy lithium metal batteries.With respect to common dual-ion conductors,single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes(SICPEs)are less affected by lithium dendrites growth and thus are particularly interesting for application in lithium metal batteries.In this work,novel SIC-PEs are developed,based on an ionomer having poly(ethylene-alt-maleimide)backbone and lithium phenylsulfonyl(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide pendant moieties,further blended with poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)and poly(ethylene glycol)dimethyl ether(PEGDME).These SIC-PEs exhibit ionic conductivity around~7×10^(−6)S·cm^(−1) at 70℃,lithium transference number close to unity,and excellent mechanical properties,with fracture toughness over 30 J·cm^(−3).Additionally,the electrolytes show very high resistance against lithium dendrites growth,by cycling for more than 1200 h in Li°symmetric cells at a current density of 0.1 mA·cm^(−2).LiFePO4||Li°cells with these SIC-PEs were cycled at 70℃ and C/10,showing initial capacity of almost 160 mAh·g^(−1)and residual capacity of 45%after 100 cycles.This work shows that single-ion conducting polymer electrolytes based on poly(ethylene-alt-maleimide)backbone are promising materials for application as electrolytes or catholytes in lithium metal polymer batteries.David Fraile-Insagurbe Nicola Boaretto Itziar Aldalur Iñigo Raposo Francisco Javier Bonilla Michel Armand María Martínez-Ibañez 2023Nano Research2023,16,6:0
18The Role of Work Motivation Based on Values in Employee’s Retention in the 21st Century显示文摘Organizations in the 21th century have to address the problem of employee’s retention as it has direct and indirect costs for the organisation.In regards to this issue several theories have emerged pointing out the strong relationship between retention and employee’s motivation.This last topic is not trivial,as it includes factors from different disciplines such as the psychological or managerial ones.The aim of this paper is to analyse the current literature related to different work motivation theories in order to identify patterns,which might help to understand better the dynamics between motivation at work and its impact on employee retention.In order to do so a detailed revision of the literature has been done classifying the main motivational theories in needs,traits,values,and cognition.Results of the above analysis highlight the“satisfaction of a need”as a common denominator in the motivational theories.Need theories explain why someone must act but they do not explain why particular actions are followed in specific situations.One of the insights is that values are the ones that unveil what drives individuals to achieve a goal.Therefore it is vital for organizations to learn and understand which ones are the employees work values in order to retain them and keep them motivated.Itziar Ramírez García Susana Del Cerro Ramón Albert Fornells Herrera 2019Management Studies2019,7,2:0
