1Molecular hallmarks of long non-coding RNAs in aging and its significant effect on aging-associated diseases显示文摘Aging is linked to the deterioration of many physical and cognitive abilities and is the leading risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. The growing aging population is a significant healthcare problem globally that researchers must investigate to better understand the underlying aging processes. Advances in microarrays and sequencing techniques have resulted in deeper analyses of diverse essential genomes(e.g., mouse, human, and rat) and their corresponding cell types, their organ-specific transcriptomes, and the tissue involved in aging. Traditional gene controllers such as DNA-and RNA-binding proteins significantly influence such programs, causing the need to sort out long non-coding RNAs, a new class of powerful gene regulatory elements. However, their functional significance in the aging process and senescence has yet to be investigated and identified. Several recent researchers have associated the initiation and development of senescence and aging in mammals with several well-reported and novel long non-coding RNAs. 4Impact of Fractures and Diagenesis on Reservoir Potential of Inner Ramp Paleocene Carbonates Exposed in Western Part of the Lesser Himalayas of Pakistan显示文摘The outcrop investigations provide a better comprehension to interrelate facies-diagenesis and fracture networks for the evaluation of reservoir potential of the carbonate rocks.In this paper,we targeted Kahi-Section(Nizampur Basin)and Peeran Tangai-Section(Kalachitta Range)to analyze structural-kinematics,Discrete Fracture Network Modelling,microfacies identification and diagenesis to interpret their impact on reservoir potential of Lockhart Limestone(Paleocene).The structural grain within the study area mostly represents the typical east-west trending tight to overturned folds and north-dipping thrust faults that mimic the north-south Indo-Eurasian collision.However,a second phase of deformation related to east-west compressions also identified which rotated the axes of preexisting structures.Fracture analysis revealed that extensional fractures are oriented at high angle to bedding and are differentiated into three orthogonal sets trending northeast-southwest,northwest-southeast and east-west,whereas,the shear fractures formed two conjugate sets trending northeastsouthwest.The Lockhart Limestone was deposited in the inner ramp setting and microfacies types are packstone,wackestone and wacke-packstone with seven sub-microfacies types.It has been identified that the Lockhart Limestone has the heterogeneous distribution of diagenetic and tectonic features throughout its extent.The observed diagenetic sequence is micritization,calcite cementation,dissolution,neomorphism,pyritization and compaction.The results highlight that open and partially filled fractures may provide an interconnected network to promote fluid mobility,leading to higher values of fracture permeability.The porosity values of the pore matrix were greater than fracture,resulting a significant impact on reservoir storage capacity.In contrast,a negative impact on reservoir potential has been shown by stylolites,veins and dissolution seams.However,based on the overall studies,the Lockhart Limestone revealed the prospect of a good reservoir unit in the study area.Waleed Tariq Gohar Rehman Syed Ahsan Hussain Gardezi Nawaz Ikram 2023Journal of Earth Science2023,34,2:0
5Bug Prioritization Using Average One Dependence Estimator显示文摘Automation software need to be continuously updated by addressing software bugs contained in their repositories.However,bugs have different levels of importance;hence,it is essential to prioritize bug reports based on their sever-ity and importance.Manually managing the deluge of incoming bug reports faces time and resource constraints from the development team and delays the resolu-tion of critical bugs.Therefore,bug report prioritization is vital.This study pro-poses a new model for bug prioritization based on average one dependence estimator;it prioritizes bug reports based on severity,which is determined by the number of attributes.The more the number of attributes,the more the severity.The proposed model is evaluated using precision,recall,F1-Score,accuracy,G-Measure,and Matthew’s correlation coefficient.Results of the proposed model are compared with those of the support vector machine(SVM)and Naive Bayes(NB)models.Eclipse and Mozilla datasetswere used as the sources of bug reports.The proposed model improved the bug repository management and out-performed the SVM and NB models.Additionally,the proposed model used a weaker attribute independence supposition than the former models,thereby improving prediction accuracy with minimal computational cost.Kashif Saleem Rashid Naseem Khalil Khan Siraj Muhammad Ikram Syed Jaehyuk Choi 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,,6:0
6IoT Devices Authentication Using Artificial Neural Network显示文摘User authentication is one of the critical concerns of information security.Users tend to use strong textual passwords,but remembering complex passwords is hard as they often write it on a piece of paper or save it in their mobile phones.Textual passwords are slightly unprotected and are easily attackable.The attacks include dictionary,shoulder surfing,and brute force.Graphical passwords overcome the shortcomings of textual passwords and are designed to aid memorability and ease of use.This paper proposes a Process-based Pattern Authentication(PPA)system for Internet of Things(IoT)devices that does not require a server to maintain a static password of the login user.The server stores user’s information,which they provide at the time of registration,i.e.,the R-code and the symbol,but the P-code,i.e.,the actual password,will change with every login attempt of users.In this scheme,users may draw a pattern on the basis of calculation from the P-code and Rcode in the PPA pattern,and can authenticate themselves using their touch dynamic behaviors through Artificial Neural Network(ANN).The ANN is trained on touch behaviors of legitimate users reporting superior performance over the existing methods.For experimental purposes,PPA is implemented as a prototype on a computer system to carry out experiments for the evaluation in terms of memorability and usability.The experiments show that the system has an effect of 5.03%of the False Rejection Rate(FRR)and 4.36%of the False Acceptance Rate(FAR),respectively.Syed Shabih Ul Hasan Anwar Ghani Ikram Ud Din Ahmad Almogren Ayman Altameem 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,2:0
7A Compact 28 GHz Millimeter Wave Antenna for Future Wireless Communication显示文摘This article presents a novel modified chuck wagon dinner bell shaped millimeter wave(mm-wave)antenna at 28 GHz.The proposed design has ultra-thin Rogers 5880 substrate with relative permittivity of 2.2.The design consists of T shaped resonating elements and two open ended side stubs.The desired 28 GHz frequency response is achieved by careful parametric modeling of the proposed structure.The maximum achieved single element gain at the desired resonance frequency is 3.45 dBi.The efficiency of the proposed design over the operating band is more than 88%.The impedance bandwidth achieved for−10 dB reference value is nearly 2.9 GHz.The proposed antenna is transformed into four element linear array which increases the gain up to 10.5 dBi.The fabricated prototype is tested for the measured results.It is observed that measured results closely match the simulated results.By considering its simple structure and focused radiation patterns,the proposed design is well suited for IoT(Internet of Things),mmWave microwave sensing,5G and future RF(Radio Frequency)frontends.Shahid Khan Adil Bashir Haider Ali Abdul Rauf Mohamed Marey Hala Mostafa Ikram Syed 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:0
