1Crosstalk of liver immune cells and cell death mechanisms in different murine models of liver injury and its clinical relevance显示文摘BACKGROUND: Liver inflammation or hepatitis is a result of pluripotent interactions of cell death molecules, cytokines, chemokines and the resident immune cells collectively called as microenvironment. The interplay of these inflammatory mediators and switching of immune responses during hepatotoxic, viral, drug-induced and immune cell-mediated hepatitis decide the fate of liver pathology. The present review aimed to describe the mechanisms of liver injury, its relevance to human liver pathology and insights for the future therapeutic interventions.DATA SOURCES: The data of mouse hepatic models and relevant human liver diseases presented in this review are systematically collected from Pub Med, Science Direct and the Web of Science databases published in English. RESULTS: The hepatotoxic liver injury in mice induced by the metabolites of CCl4, acetaminophen or alcohol represent necrotic cell death with activation of cytochrome pathway, formation of reactive oxygen species(ROS) and mitochondrial damage. The Fas or TNF-α induced apoptotic liver injury was dependent on activation of caspases, release of cytochrome c and apoptosome formation. The Con A-hepatitis demonstrated the involvement of TRAIL-dependent necrotic/necroptotic cell death with activation of RIPK1/3. The α-Gal Cer-induced liver injury was mediated by TNF-α. The LPS-induced hepatitis involved TNF-α, Fas/Fas L, and perforin/granzyme cell death pathways. The MHV3 or Poly(I:C) induced liver injury was mediated by natural killer cells and TNF-α signaling. The necrotic ischemia-reperfusion liver injury was mediated byhypoxia, ROS, and pro-inflammatory cytokines; however, necroptotic cell death was found in partial hepatectomy. The crucial role of immune cells and cell death mediators in viral hepatitis(HBV, HCV), drug-induced liver injury, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and alcoholic liver disease in human were discussed.CONCLUSIONS: The mouse animal models of hepatitis provide a parallel approach for the study of human liver pathology. 2Chemical composition and antioxidant activity of certain Morus species显示文摘In the present work,the fruits of four Morus species,namely Morus alba (white mulberry),Morus nigra (black mulberry),Morus laevigata (large white fruit),and Morus laevigata (large black fruit),were analyzed for proximate composition,essential minerals,and antioxidant potentials.For this purpose,the ripe fruits were collected from the northern regions of Pakistan.The major nutritional components moisture,ash,lipids,proteins,fibres,carbohydrates,and total sugar) were found to be in the suitable range along with good computed energy.Total dry weight,pH,and titratable acidity (percent citric acid) were (17.60±1.94)–(21.97±2.34) mg/100 g,(3.20±0.07)–(4.78±0.15),and (0.84±0.40)%–(2.00±0.08)%,respectively.Low riboflavin (vitamin B2) and niacin (vitamin B3) contents were recorded in all the fruits,while ascorbic acid (vitamin C) was in the range from (15.20±1.25) to (17.03±1.71) mg/100 g fresh weight (FW).The mulberry fruits were rich with regard to the total phenol and alkaloid contents,having values of (880±7.20)–(1650±12.25) mg/100 g FW and (390±3.22)–(660±5.25) mg/100 g FW,respectively.Sufficient quantities of essential macro-(K,Ca,Mg,and Na) and micro-(Fe,Zn,and Ni) elements were found in all the fruits.K was the predominant element with concentration ranging from (1270±9.36) to (1731±11.50) mg/100 g,while Ca,Na,and Mg contents were (440±3.21)–(576±7.37),(260±3.86)–(280±3.50),and (240±3.51)–(360±4.20) mg/100 g,respectivly.The decreasing order of micro-minerals was Fe>Zn>Ni.The radical scavenging activity of methanolic extract of fruits was concentration-dependent and showed a correlation with total phenolic constituents of the respective fruits.Based on the results obtained,mulberry fruits were found to serve as a potential source of food diet and natural antioxidants.Mohammad IMRAN Hamayun KHAN Mohibullah SHAH Rasool KHAN Faridullah KHAN 2010Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2010,11,12:14
3Chemical composition, mechanism of antibacterial action and antioxidant activity of leaf essential oil of Forsythia koreana deciduous shrub显示文摘Objective: To identify the chemical constituents of leaf essential oil of Forsythia koreana(F. koreana) and evaluate its ef ects on bacterial strains. Methods: The essential oil of leaf of F. koreana was extracted by using hydrodistillation process and the volatile components investigated with the help of gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The antibacterial study was carried out with the help of agar disc dif usion method, MIC, MBC and viable count. The mode of action was determined with help of potassium ion l ux, cellular material release and scanning electron microscopy. The antioxidant activity was determined with the help of 2, 3-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl method, nitric oxide scavenging activity and superoxide anion radical scavenging assay. Results: Total ten compounds were identii ed as trans-phytol(42.73%), cis-3-hexenol(12.95%), 毬-linalool(10.68%), trans-2-hexenal(8.86%), trans-2-hexenol(8.86%), myrcenol(3.86%), 4-vinylphenyl acetate(3.86%),(4Z)-4,6-heptadien-1-ol(3.18%), lemonol(2.73%) and benzeneacetaldehyde(2.27%) by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The antibacterial study was demonstrated that leaf essential oil of F. koreana act against foodborne and other pathogenic bacteria. The mode of action revealed that this essential oil acted on the cytoplasmic membrane, resulting in loss of integrity and increased permeability. In addition, leaf essential oil of F. koreana was shown to be rich in linalool, which contributes to improved antioxidant activity. 4Correlation between KCNQ1 and KCNJ11 gene polymorphisms and type 2 and posttransplant diabetes mellitus in the Asian Indian population显示文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and post-transplant diabetes mellitus(PTDM)share a common pathophysiology.However,diabetes mellitus is a complex disease,and T2DM and PTDM have different etiologies.T2DM is a metabolic disorder,characterized by persistent hyperglycemia,whereas PTDM is a condition of abnormal glucose tolerance,with variable onset after organ transplant.The KCNQ1 and KCNJ11 gene encode potassium channels,which mediate insulin secretion from pancreatic b-cells,and KCN gene mutations are correlated with the development of diabetes.However,no studies have been carried out to establish an association between KCNQ1 and KCNJ11 gene polymorphisms and T2DM and PTDM.Therefore,our study was aimed at the identification of the role of KCNQ1 and KCNJ11 gene polymorphisms associated with T2DM and the risk of developing PTDM in the Asian Indian population.We have carried out a caseecontrol study including 250 patients with T2DM,250 control subjects,42 patients with PTDM and 98 subjects with non-PTDM.PCR-RFLP analysis was carried out following the isolation of genomic DNA from EDTA-blood samples.The results of the present study reveal that two single nucleotide polymorphisms(rs2283228 and rs5210,of the KCNQ1 and KCNJ11 genes,respectively)are associated with both T2DM and PTDM.The results of our study suggest a role of KCNQ1 and KCNJ11 gene variants in the increased risk of T2DM and PTDM in the Asian Indian population.Imran Ali Khan Kiran Kumar Vattam Parveen Jahan Kamal Kiran Mukkavali Qurratulain Hasan Pragna Rao 2015Genes & Diseases2015,2,3:6
5Estimating the basic reproductive ratio for the Ebola outbreak in Liberia and Sierra Leone显示文摘Background:Ebola virus disease has reemerged as a major public health crisis in Africa,with isolated cases also observed globally,during the current outbreak.Methods:To estimate the basic reproductive ratio R0,which is a measure of the severity of the outbreak,we developed a SEIR(susceptible-exposed-infected-recovered)type deterministic model,and used data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC),for the Ebola outbreak in Liberia and Sierra Leone.Two different data sets are available:one with raw reported data and one with corrected data(as the CDC suspects under-reporting).Results:Using a deterministic ordinary differential equation transmission model for Ebola epidemic,the basic reproductive ratio R0 for Liberia resulted to be 1.757 and 1.9 for corrected and uncorrected case data,respectively.For Sierra Leone,R0 resulted to be 1.492 and 1.362 for corrected and uncorrected case data,respectively.In each of the two cases we considered,the estimate for the basic reproductive ratio was initially greater than unity leading to an epidemic outbreak.Conclusion:We obtained robust estimates for the value of R0 associated with the 2014 Ebola outbreak,and showed that there is close agreement between our estimates of R0.Analysis of our model also showed that effective isolation is required,with the contact rate in isolation less than one quarter of that for the infected non-isolated population,and that the fraction of high-risk individuals must be brought to less than 10%of the overall susceptible population,in order to bring the value of R0 to less than 1,and hence control the outbreak.Adnan Khan Mahim Naveed Muhammad Dur-e-Ahmad Mudassar Imran 2015Infectious Diseases of Poverty2015,4,1:5
6自体肋软骨“瓦合支架法”在鼻综合整形术中的应用效果研究显示文摘目的:研究自体肋软骨“瓦合支架法”在鼻综合整形术中的临床应用效果。方法:纳入158例实行鼻综合整形术的就医者,选取右侧第7肋内侧部分肋软骨作为鼻中隔延伸移植物(Septal extensional graft,SEG)、鼻小柱支撑移植物(The nasal columella support graft,STRUT),按照“瓦合支架法”塑造鼻形,收集术前、术后鼻部照片,测量鼻部形态数据,行统计学处理。结果:153例就医者术后愈合良好,无鼻部形变,歪曲,鼻形态明显改善;5例出现切口感染。鼻宽/鼻高、鼻根宽/鼻高及鼻根高/鼻高术前术后比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);鼻尖高/鼻高及鼻背长/鼻高较术前有所改善,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。就医者满意度为94%。结论:自体肋软骨“瓦合支架法”在鼻综合整形术中的应用对于抬高鼻尖、延长鼻背、改善鼻部整体美学形态及减少术后并发症均有明确的改善效果。崔正军 孟庆鹏 王晓博 孙佳琳 Imran KHAN 杨森 池凯 2021中国美容医学2021,30,4:5

8基于光致变色效应的BaMgSiO4:Bi3+陶瓷的发光性质调控及信息的可逆写入、擦除和读出研究(英文)显示文摘光存储技术与传统固态存储和磁存储相比有许多优点,如成本低、可重复性存储.因此,光存储的需求正在持续增长.本文研究了铋掺杂的硅酸镁钡陶瓷的光致变色及光致发光现象.在紫外线(254 nm)和532 nm激光交替辐照下,实现了陶瓷在灰色与粉红色之间的可逆转变.研究证实MgSiO4:Bi^3+陶瓷的可逆光致变色来源于基质中的氧空位陷阱对电子的俘获和释放.基于可逆光致变色效应在陶瓷表面制作不同颜色的图案,实现了光信号的双模式存储和擦除.同时,在光致变色过程中实现了光致发光的可逆调控;通过这种可逆的发光调控行为,实现存储信息的读出;此外,变色和漂白的程度与光照射时间有关,因此可实现多通路编码存储,有望提高光存储容量.任友涛 杨正文 王悦辉 李明骏 邱建备 宋志国 余杰 Asad Ullah Imran Khan 2020Science China Materials2020,63,4:5
9Synergistic antibacterial effect of honey and Herba Ocimi Basilici against some bacterial pathogens显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the antibacterial activity of the combination of different honey brands and methanolic fraction of Herba Ocimi Basilici using agar well diffusion assay. METHODS: The antibacterial activity was determined against thirteen pathogenic bacterial clinical isolates including six gram negative(Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeroginosa, Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella typhimirium, Xanthomonas campestris) and six gram positive strains(Enterococcus faecalis faecalis, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Clostridium perfringens type C, Clostridium perfringens type D, Clostridium chauvoei). Agar well diffusion method was used while zones of inhibition were measured with vernier scale. RESULTS: At higher concentration, all the honey brands showed good to significant activity. The highest activity was observed for Hamdard brand honey(27.60±0.40) against Enterococcus faecalis. 11二价镍离子修饰TS-1分子筛纳米片用于有效光催化醇氧化及污染物降解显示文摘以O2为绿色氧化剂实现高效光催化有机物氧化转化过程如醇等有机物的选择性氧化及污染物降解是当前光催化发展的重要方向之一.成功实现高活性及高选择性的上述转化过程主要在于设计并制备有效的光催化材料.二氧化钛作为最广泛应用的光催化材料被报道用于光催化空气醇氧化选择性转化,但通常活性有限且因其表面催化活性位均为含有Ti-O6活性中心而具有较低的产物选择性.相比之下,同样作为Ti基材料的钛硅分子筛如TS-1分子筛具有高选择性的Ti-O4催化中心、丰富的孔结构及良好的稳定性,被广泛用于多种传统催化氧化反应.近年来,TS-1分子筛因具有光催化活性而成为一类具有工业应用潜力的光催化材料,特别是其独特的Ti-O4催化中心有望实现高选择性的光催化氧化转化.然而,其活性仍受限于较差的光生电荷分离,提升TS-1分子筛的电荷分离是促进其光催化活性的关键.本工作以特定结构的季铵盐表面活性剂为结构导向剂,通过低温水热法成功制备了TS-1分子筛纳米片,并通过离子交换法于TS-1分子筛纳米片的离子交换位引入二价镍离子,显著地提升了其光催化醇氧化及污染物降解的反应活性.在全光下,最佳镍修饰样品表现出优异活性,苯甲醇转化率达到78.9%,对应产物苯甲醛选择性达到98.8%,收率为普通块状TS-1分子筛6倍,循环活性维持5次无明显降低.镍修饰TS-1分子筛纳米片的优异活性源于介孔的二维TS-1纳米片具有显著增大的比表面积以及提升的电荷分离.与块状TS-1分子筛相比,镍修饰TS-1纳米片具有更短的电荷传输距离.引入镍物种能够捕获光生电子,从而提升了电荷分离,同时可作为催化氧化剂O2活化的催化活性位.捕获剂实验证明,氧二负自由基为镍修饰TS-1纳米片光催化醇氧化过程的主要氧活性物种.本工作开启了一类具有工业应用潜质的用于光催化醇选择性氧化及污染物降解的高效、高选择性且廉价的钛硅分子筛基光催化剂,为同类型光催化反应催化剂制备提供策略.Imran Khan 初小宇 刘彦铎 Salman Khan 白林鹭 井立强 2020Chinese Journal of Catalysis2020,41,10:4
12Physicochemical characteristics of various milk samples available in Pakistan显示文摘We report physicochemical characteristics of various kinds of liquid milk commercially available in Pakistan in comparison with those of fresh natural milk from animals. Milk samples were collected from local markets at Peshawar, Pakistan, and analyzed for their physical features, including moisture, total solids, specific gravity, conductivity, viscosity and titratable acidity (lactic acid equivalent), and chemical components and macro-minerals, including total protein, casein, lactose, ash and minerals (Na, K and Mg). These items were compared with the physicochemical characteristics of the fresh natural milk samples from buffalo, cow and goat. The results were also compared with reported nutritional quality of milk from various countries and World Health Organization (WHO) standards. 13Phyto-Toxicity of Chromium in Maize: Oxidative Damage, Osmolyte Accumulation, Anti-Oxidative Defense and Chromium Uptake显示文摘Agricultural production systems are immensely exposed to different environmental stresses in which heavy metal stress receives serious concerns. This study was conducted to explore the deleterious effects of different chromium(Cr) stress levels, i.e., 0, 30, 6090, 120, and 150 μmol L-1, on two maize genotypes, Wandan 13 and Runnong 35. Both genotypes were evaluated by measuring their growth and yield characteristics, Cr accumulation in different plant tissues, alterations in osmolyte accumulation, generation o reactive oxygen species(ROS), and anti-oxidative enzyme activity to scavenge ROS. The results showed that Cr stress decreased the leaf area, cob formation, 100-grain weight, shoot fresh biomass, and yield formation, while Cr accumulation in different maize tissues was found in the order of roots > leaves > stem > seeds in both genotypes. The increased Cr toxicity resulted in higher free proline soluble sugars and total phenolic contents, and lower soluble protein contents. However, enhanced lipid peroxidation was noticed in the forms of malondialdehyde, hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) and thiobarbituric acid reactive substance accumulation, and electrolyte leakage. The hyperactivity of superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, catalase, ascorbate peroxidase, especially glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase indicated that these anti-oxidative enzymes had a central role in protecting maize from Cr toxicity, especially for Wandan 13. 14Estimating the basic reproduction number for single-strain dengue fever epidemics显示文摘Background:Dengue,an infectious tropical disease,has recently emerged as one of the most important mosquito-borne viral diseases in the world.We perform a retrospective analysis of the 2011 dengue fever epidemic in Pakistan in order to assess the transmissibility of the disease.We obtain estimates of the basic reproduction number R0 from epidemic data using different methodologies applied to different epidemic models in order to evaluate the robustness of our estimate.Results:We first estimate model parameters by fitting a deterministic ODE vector-host model for the transmission dynamics of single-strain dengue to the epidemic data,using both a basic ordinary least squares(OLS)as well as a generalized least squares(GLS)scheme.Moreover,we perform the same analysis for a direct-transmission ODE model,thereby allowing us to compare our results across different models.In addition,we formulate a direct-transmission stochastic model for the transmission dynamics of dengue and obtain parameter estimates for the stochastic model using Markov chain Monte Carlo(MCMC)methods.In each of the cases we have considered,the estimate for the basic reproduction number R0 is initially greater than unity leading to an epidemic outbreak.However,control measures implemented several weeks after the initial outbreak successfully reduce R0 to less than unity,thus resulting in disease elimination.Furthermore,it is observed that there is strong agreement in our estimates for the pre-control value of R0,both across different methodologies as well across different models.However,there are also significant differences between our estimates for the post-control value of the basic reproduction number across the two different models.Conclusion:In conclusion,we have obtained robust estimates for the value of the basic reproduction number R0 associated with the 2011 dengue fever epidemic before the implementation of public health control measures.Furthermore,we have shown that there is close agreement between our estimates for the post-control value of R0 across the different methodologies.Nevertheless,there are also significant differences between the estimates for the post-control value of R0 across the two different models.Adnan Khan Muhammad Hassan Mudassar Imran 2014Infectious Diseases of Poverty2014,3,1:3
15Technical efficiency of hybrid maize growers: A stochastic frontier model approach显示文摘This study investigated the effect of credit constraints and credit unconstraints on the technical efficiency of hybrid maize growers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province(KPK) of Pakistan. The primary data were collected by a direct elicitation method from 510 maize growers of KPK Province. Stochastic frontier model techniques were used for technical efficiency analyses. The results revealed that the mean technical efficiency difference between the two groups was 10.2%. The results of technical inefficiency effect modeling demonstrated that education of the household head, family size, number of married family members, off-farm income, farming experience, tractor drill, water irrigation through a lined course, certified seed, extension services, household saving variables, and a credit size variable had positive effects on technical efficiency for both credit constrained farmers(CCFs) and credit unconstrained farmers(UCCFs). In addition, age of household head and fragmented land values had negative effects on technical efficiency for both groups. However, the interest rate had positive and negative impacts on the technical efficiency of CCFs and UCCFs, respectively. 16Degradation of malathion by Pseudomonas during activated sludge treatment system using principal component analysis (PCA)显示文摘Popular descriptive multivariate statistical method currently employed is the principal component analyses (PCA) method. PCA is used to develop linear combinations that successively maximize the total variance of a sample where th ere is no known group structure. This study aimed at demonstrating the performan ce evaluation of pilot activated sludge treatment system by inoculating a strain of Pseudomonas capable of degrading malathion which was isolated by enrichment technique. An intensive analytical program was followed for evaluating the effic iency of biosimulator by maintaining the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration at 4.0 mg/L. Analyses by high performance liquid chromatographic technique revealed that 90% of malathion removal was achieved within 29 h of treatment whereas COD got reduced considerably during the treatment process and mean removal efficien cy was found to be 78%. The mean pH values increased gradually during the treatm ent process ranging from 7.36—8.54. Similarly the mean ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N) values were found to be fluctuating between 19.425—28.488 mg/L, mean nitrite-n itrogen (NO3-N) ranging between 1.301—2.940 mg/L and mean nitrate-nitrogen (NO3 -N) ranging between 0.0071—0.0711 mg/L. The study revealed that inoculation of bacterial culture under laboratory conditions could be used in bioremediation of environmental pollution caused by xenobiotics. The PCA analyses showed that pH, COD, organic load and total malathion concentration were highly correlated and emerged as the variables controlling the first component, whereas dissolved oxyg en, NO3-N and NH3-N governed the second component. 17哈尔滨地区汛期径流量变化趋势与复杂性分析显示文摘区域水文要素复杂性研究是当今的热点问题,为了研究哈尔滨地区汛期径流量的复杂性特征及变化趋势,将R/S分析法和等概率粗粒化LZC算法引入到区域径流复杂性分析与变化趋势预测中,对地区内10个水文站点的汛期径流序列的复杂性进行诊断并对其变化趋势进行分析。研究结果表明:哈尔滨、通河、阿城、依兰、烟囱山各站未来的汛期径流量呈减少趋势,岔林河、莲花、西北河、延寿、四平山各站未来的汛期径流量呈增长趋势;各站点汛期径流序列的复杂度由高到低依次为:四平山、烟囱山、岔林河、阿城、西北河、依兰、莲花、通河、哈尔滨、延寿;从河流集水面积对其径流长程相关性和复杂性的影响可以看出,站点的河流集水面积越大,其径流量的长程相关性越强,复杂性指数越小。研究成果揭示了本地区汛期径流量的变化趋势以及复杂性演变特征,该特征可为区域径流预测及水资源优化配置提供科学依据。刘东 程晨 KHAN Muhammad Imran FAIZ Muhammad Abrar 2017华北水利水电大学学报(自然科学版)2017,38,4:3
18Slip flow of Maxwell viscoelasticity-based micropolar nanoparticles with porous medium: a numerical study显示文摘This article presents the mass and heat transport aspects in viscoelastic nanofluid flows under the presence of velocity slip conditions. To explore the nonNewtonian behavior, a Maxwell viscoelasticity-based micropolar is considered. Moreover, a porous medium saturates the stretching sheet. A set of similarity variables is introduced to derive the dimensionless ordinary differential equations of velocity, concentration, and temperature profiles. The numerical solution is computed by using the MATLAB bvp4c package. The salient flow features of velocity, concentration, and temperature profiles are described and discussed through various graphs. It is observed that with an increase in the slip parameter, the micro-rotation velocity also increases. The temperature of nanoparticles gets maximum values by varying the viscoelastic parameter and the porosity parameter while an opposite trend is noted for the micro-rotation parameter. The local Nusselt number and the local Sherwood number increase by increasing the viscoelastic parameter, the porosity parameter, and the slip velocity parameter. 19Physiological and biochemical appraisal for mulching and partial rhizosphere drying of cotton显示文摘Water is the main factor for the healthy life of plant.One of the main negative effects of climate change is the increasing scarcity of water that is lethal for plant.Globally,for water deficit regions(arid and semi-arid),drought is the main factor responsible for low production of agriculture,especially for cotton.Great efforts have been and are being made to find alternatives to water saving practices.This study aimed to examine the effects of partial rhizosphere drying(PRD,half of the root system irrigated at one event,and the other half irrigated in the next event,and so on)with and/or without various mulching treatments on physiological and biochemical traits of cotton.To explore this objective,we laid out experiments in completely randomized design with factorial arrangement in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur,Pakistan in 2016.Two factors included were four mulching treatments(M0,no mulching;M1,black plastic mulching;M2,wheat straw mulching;and M3,cotton sticks mulching)and two irrigation levels(I0,control(full irrigation);and I1,PRD).Fisher's analysis of variance among means of treatments was compared using least significant difference test at 5% probability level.Results revealed that the maximum plant height,leaf area,leaf gas exchange(photosynthetic rate and stomata conductance),chlorophyll,proline and total sugar contents,and enzyme activities were higher under M2 than under other three mulching treatments.As for irrigation levels,higher values of plant height,photosynthesis and water related parameters(leaf water potential,leaf osmotic potential,leaf turgor potential,etc.)were recorded.Contents of total sugar and proline and activities of antioxidant enzymes were significantly higher in PRD-treated plants than in control plants.It was concluded that combined application of PRD and mulching was more effective than the rest of the treatments used in the experiment.Similar study can be conducted in the field by applying irrigation water in alternate rows in semi-arid regions.Rashid IQBAL Muhammad A S RAZA Muhammad F SALEEM Imran H KHAN Salman AHMAD Muhammad S ZAHEER Muhammad U ASLAM Imran HAIDER 2019Journal of Arid Land2019,11,5:2
20Text Sentiment Analysis Using Frequency-Based Vigorous Features显示文摘Sentiment Analysis, an un-abating research area in text mining, requires a computational method for extracting useful information from text. In recent days, social media has become a really rich source to get information about the behavioral state of people(opinion) through reviews and comments. Numerous techniques have been aimed to analyze the sentiment of the text, however, they were unable to come up to the complexity of the sentiments. The complexity requires novel approach for deep analysis of sentiments for more accurate prediction. This research presents a three-step Sentiment Analysis and Prediction(SAP) solution of Text Trend through K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN). At first, sentences are transformed into tokens and stop words are removed. Secondly, polarity of the sentence, paragraph and text is calculated through contributing weighted words, intensity clauses and sentiment shifters. The resulting features extracted in this step played significant role to improve the results. Finally, the trend of the input text has been predicted using KNN classifier based on extracted features. The training and testing of the model has been performed on publically available datasets of twitter and movie reviews. Experiments results illustrated the satisfactory improvement as compared to existing solutions.
