3Relation of Mineralizable N to Organic N Components in Dark Loessial Soils显示文摘Mineralizable N and organic N components in different layers (0~15, 15~30, 30~45, 45~60, 60~80 and80~100 em) of six soils with different fertilities sampled from Yongshou County, Shaanxi Province, China,were determined by the aerobic incubation method and the Bremner procedure, respectively. Correlation,multiple regression and path analyses were performed to study the relation of mineralizable N to organic Ncomponents. Results of correlation and regression analyses showed that the amounts of the N mineralizedwere parallel to, and significantly correlated with, the total acid hydrolyzable N, but was not so with the acid-insoluble N. Of the hydrolyzable N, the amino acid N and the ammonia N had a highly consistent significantcorrelation with the mineralized N, and their partial regression coefficients were significant in the regressionequations, showing their importance in contribution to the mineralizable N. The amino sugar N, on the otherhand, had a relatively high correlation with the mineralized N, but their partial regression coefficients werenot significant in the regression equations. In contrast, the hydrolyzable unknown N had no such relations.Path analysis further indicated that the amino acid N and ammonia N made great direct contributions tothe mineralized N, but the contributions of the amino sugar N were very low. 4DCZ0801,a novel compound,induces cell apoptosis and cell cycle arrest via MAPK pathway in multiple myeloma显示文摘Multiple myeloma(MM)is a refractory malignant hematological malignancy,and many therapeutic strategies have been developed to cure patients with MM.DCZ0801 is a compound that consists of oxophenamide and pterostilbene.The role of these compounds in hematological cancers such as MM has yet to be studied.In this study,we explored the potential mechanism of DCZ0801 action,its anti-tumor activity both in vitro and in vivo on MM.This study was carried out via cell cycle proliferation assay,apoptotic analysis,western blot analysis,and examination of xenotransplantation model of tumors.The in vitro studies revealed that DCZ0801 could inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis by regulating both caspase-dependent and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways,inducing S-phase arrest of the cell cycle related to downregulation of CDK2,cyclin-A2,and CDC25A protein expression.The in vivo studies showed that DCZ0801 could significantly reduce the size of the tumors in nude mice.Our results demonstrated that DCZ0801 may emerge as the new therapeutic option for the patient with MM.Ting Zhang Bo Li Qilin Feng Zhijian Xu Cheng Huang Huiqun Wu Zhangbo Chen Liangning Hu Lu Gao Peng Liu Guang Yang Hui Zhang Kang Lu Tingye Li Yi Tao Xiaosong Wu Jumei Shi Weiliang Zhu 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,5:3
5Tocilizumab in patients with moderate or severe COVID-19: a randomized, controlled, open-label, multicenter trial显示文摘Tocilizumab has been reported to attenuate the“cytokine storm”in COVID-19 patients.We attempted to verify the effectiveness and safety of tocilizumab therapy in COVID-19 and identify patients most likely to benefit from this treatment.We conducted a randomized,controlled,open-label multicenter trial among COVID-19 patients.The patients were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either tocilizumab in addition to standard care or standard care alone.The cure rate,changes of oxygen saturation and interference,and inflammation biomarkers were observed.Thirty-three patients were randomized to the tocilizumab group,and 32 patients to the control group.The cure rate in the tocilizumab group was higher than that in the control group,but the difference was not statistically significant(94.12%vs.87.10%,rate difference 95%CI−7.19%–21.23%,P=0.4133).The improvement in hypoxia for the tocilizumab group was higher from day 4 onward and statistically significant from day 12(P=0.0359).In moderate disease patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions,the hypoxia ameliorated earlier after tocilizumab treatment,and less patients(1/12,8.33%)needed an increase of inhaled oxygen concentration compared with the controls(4/6,66.67%;rate difference 95%CI−99.17%to−17.50%,P=0.0217).No severe adverse events occurred.More mild temporary adverse events were recorded in tocilizumab recipients(20/34,58.82%)than the controls(4/31,12.90%).Tocilizumab can improve hypoxia without unacceptable side effect profile and significant influences on the time virus load becomes negative.For patients with bilateral pulmonary lesions and elevated IL-6 levels,tocilizumab could be recommended to improve outcome.Dongsheng Wang Binqing Fu Zhen Peng Dongliang Yang Mingfeng Han Min Li Yun Yang Tianjun Yang Liangye Sun Wei Li Wei Shi Xin Yao Yan Ma Fei Xu Xiaojing Wang Jun Chen Daqing Xia Yubei Sun Lin Dong Jumei Wang Xiaoyu Zhu Min Zhang Yonggang Zhou Aijun Pan Xiaowen Hu Xiaodong Mei Haiming Wei Xiaoling Xu 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,3:2
6Quercetin inhibits the proliferation of multiple myeloma cells by upregulating PTPRR expression显示文摘Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable disease characterized by malignant plasma cell clonal expansion in the bone marrow;therefore, inhibiting the proliferation of plasma cells is an important approach to overcome the progression of MM. Quercetin (Que) is a promising flavonoid with broad-spectrum anti-tumor activity against various cancers, including MM;however, the underlying mechanism is not yet understood. The present study aimed to reveal the gene expression profile of Que-treated MM cells and clarify its potential mechanism. The 30% inhibitory concentration (IC30) of Que against MM cells was calculated, and the proliferation rate was significantly reduced after Que treatment. Next, 495 dysregulated genes were identified via RNA sequencing in Que-treated MM cells. Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analyses indicated that the dysregulated genes were enriched in various apoptosis-related GO terms and amino acid metabolism-related pathways. qPCR validation showed that protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor-type R (PTPRR) had the highest verified log2 FC (abs) among the top 15 dysregulated genes. Overexpression of PTPRR increased the sensitivity of MM cells against Que, significantly inhibiting their proliferation and colony formation ability;silencing of PTPRR showed the opposite results. Furthermore, bioinformatics analyses and PPI network construction of PTPRR indicated that dephosphorylation of ERK might be the potential pathway for the PTPRR-induced inhibition of MM cell proliferation. 7Hyperthermia by a nitinol stent in an alternating magnetic field:Safety and feasibility in rabbit esophageal cancer显示文摘Hyperthermia by heating in-stent is a potentially new method to treat esophageal cancer.This study assessed the safety of heating the rabbit esophagus with a nitinol stent in an alternating magnetic field(AMF) and investigated whether this method offers a therapeutic option for esophageal cancer.Nitinol stents were placed in the cervical esophagi of healthy rabbits,which were heated in an AMF for different times at 43,46 and 50℃.The esophagi were histologically examined after a week to observe whether there was transmural necroses.Then esophageal cancer of rabbit placed nitinol stents were heated in an AMF at 46℃for 10 min.Stents were heated to a target temperature within 5 min.The highest tolerated temperature and time for the healthy rabbit esophagus was at 46℃for 10 min.Tumor growth was delayed by heating and it was statistically significant.Heating the rabbit esophageal wall at 46℃for 10 min proves to be safe and effective in delaying tumor growth.Jumei Zhou Ning Li Qisheng Xia Lehui Du Xiaowen Wang Linyun Zhao Xufei Wang Jintian Tang 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,12:1
8Enhanced electrochemical performance and mechanism study of AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 for lithium storage显示文摘Herein,AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 with delafossite structure was prepared by treating the layered compound Li2 SnO3 with molten AgN03 via ion exchange of Li^+for Ag^+.The structure characterization and the electrochemical performance of AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 was thoroughly investigated.AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 is found to possess stacking lamellar morphology,which means small electrochemical impedance and so facilitates charge transfer kinetics during the cycling.Compared with Li2 Sn03,due to the introducing of excellent electrical conductivity of silver,AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 exhibits improved electrochemical performance in terms of capacity,cycling stability and coulombic efficiency.The results show AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 presents favorable specific capacity of 339 mAh/g at current density of 200 mA/g after 50 cycles and initial coulombic efficiency of 96%.Exsitu XRD analysis revealed the reaction mechanism of AgLi1/3Sn2/3O2 as an anode for lithium ion batteries.Fan Lu Jie Yang Ling Zhou Xinyue Wang Yin Yang Jumei Li 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:1

16Anti-DLBCL efficacy of DCZ0825 in vitro and in vivo:involvement of the PI3K‒AKT‒mTOR/JNK pathway显示文摘Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma,characterized by high heterogeneity.The poor outcome of a portion of patients who suffer relapsing or resistant to conventional treatment impels the development of novel agents for DLBCL.DCZ0825 is a novel compound derived from pterostilbene and osalmide,whose antitumor activities have drawn our attention.In this study,we found that DCZ0825 exhibited high cytotoxicity toward DLBCL cell lines in a dose-and time-dependent manner,as revealed by cell counting kit-8 assay.Flow cytometry and western blot analysis results showed that DCZ0825 also promoted cell apoptosis via both extrinsic and intrinsic apoptosis pathways mediated by caspase.In addition,DCZ0825 induced cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase by downregulating Cdc25C,CDK1,and Cyclin B1,thus interfering with cell proliferation.Further investigation showed the involvement of the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K)‒AKT‒mTOR/JNK pathway in the efficacy of DCZ0825 against DLBCL.Remarkably,DCZ0825 also exerted notable cytotoxic effects in vivo as well,with low toxicity to important internal organs such as the liver and kidney.Our results suggest that DCZ0825 may have the potential to become a novel anti-DLBCL agent or to replenish the conventional therapeutic scheme of DLBCL.Ke Hu Bo Li Ruye Ma Hongfei Yi Zhijian Xu Yu Peng Dandan Yu Huiqun Wu Taofang Cheng Yumeng Lu Yong Zhang Rong Wei Guang Yang Xiaosong Wu Weiliang Zhu Jumei Shi 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5:1

20Survey on applications of algebraic state space theory of logical systems to finite state machines显示文摘Algebraic state space theory(ASST)of logical systems,developed based on the semi-tensor product(STP)which is a new matrix analysis tool built in recent ten years,provides an algebraic analysis approach for many fields of science,such as logical dynamical systems,finite-valued systems,discrete event dynamic systems,and networked game systems.This study focuses on comprehensively surveying the applications of the ASST method to the field of finite state machines(FSMs).Some necessary preliminaries on the method are first reviewed.Then the applications of the method in the FSM field are reviewed,including deterministic FSMs,nondeterministic FSMs,probabilistic FSMs,networked FSMs,and controlled and combined FSMs.In addition,other applications related to both STP and FSMs are surveyed,such as the application of FSM to Boolean control networks and the application of graph theory to FSMs.Finally,some potential research directions with respect to the ASST method in the FSM field are predicted.Yongyi YAN Daizhan CHENG Jun-E FENG Haitao LI Jumei YUE 2023Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,1:1
