2Deformation Behavior and Microstructure Evolution of Wrought Magnesium Alloys显示文摘There are many researches on the deformation behavior of wrought magnesium alloys, such as AZ31, AZ80, AZ91, and ZK60 magnesium alloys at different temperatures and strain rates, but few of them focuses on the deformation behavior of AZ41M and ZK60M alloys, especially under the twin-roll casting (TRC) state. Meanwhile, the existing researches only focus on the grain refinement law of the magnesium alloys under deformation conditions, the deformation mechanism has not been revealed yet. The hot compression behavior of AZ41M and ZK60M magnesium alloys under the temperature and strain rate ranges of 250-400 ℃ and 0.001-1 s-1 are studied by thermal simulation methods using Gleeble 1500 machine and virtual simulation using finite element analysis software. Simulation results show that sine hyperbolic law is the most suitable flow stress model for wider deformation conditions. The most reasonable selected deformation conditions of ZK60M alloy is 350 oC/0.1 s-1 for TRC and 350 oC/1 s-1 for conventional casting (CC), while AZ41M alloy is 300 oC/0.01 s-1 for TRC and 350 oC/0.1 s-1 for CC. Deformation behavior and dynamic recrystallization (DRX) mechanism of them are analyzed at the same deformation conditions. The microstructures of AZ41M and ZK60M alloys are observed at different deformed conditions by optical microscopy (OM) and electron back scatter diffraction (EBSD) and it reveals the flow behavior and deformation mechanism of them. Working harden and work soften contribute to the activation of basal, non-basal slip systems which promote DRX. 3Usefulness of CA 19–9 for pancreatic cancer screening in patients with new-onset diabetes显示文摘Background: Generally, carbohydrate antigen 19–9(CA 19–9) is not useful for screening pancreatic cancer in the asymptomatic general population. This study aimed to evaluate the utility of CA 19–9 level as a screening indicator of pancreatic cancer in asymptomatic patients with new-onset diabetes.Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of patients who visited our health promotion center for health check-ups without cancer related symptoms from January 2005 to January 2014, and were newly diagnosed with diabetes mellitus(DM) within 2 years before their visit.Results: Of the 5111 asymptomatic patients with new-onset DM(<2 years) selected for analyses, 87(1.7%) eventually developed pancreatic cancer after the health check-up. In the subgroup of 322 patients with high total bilirubin levels(>1.7 mg/d L) at the screening time, 42(73.7%) of 57 patients with high CA19–9 levels(>37 IU/m L) had been diagnosed as pancreatic cancer during follow-up period and 12(4.5%)of 265 patients with normal CA 19–9 levels had finally developed pancreatic cancer(OR = 16.3). 4Fabrication of SiCw/Ti3SiC2 composites with improved thermal conductivity and mechanical properties using spark plasma sintering显示文摘High strength SiC whisker-reinforced Ti3SiC2 composites(SiCw/Ti3SiC2)with an improved thermal conductivity and mechanical properties were fabricated by spark plasma sintering.The bending strength of 10 wt%SiCw/Ti3SiC2 was 635 MPa,which was approximately 50%higher than that of the monolithic Ti3SiC2(428 MPa).The Vickers hardness and thermal conductivity(k)also increased by 36%and 25%,respectively,from the monolithic Ti3SiC2 by the incorporation of 10 wt%SiCw.This remarkable improvement both in mechanical and thermal properties was attributed to the fine-grained uniform composite microstructure along with the effects of incorporated SiCw.The SiCw/Ti3SiC2 can be a feasible candidate for the in-core structural application in nuclear reactors due to the excellent mechanical and thermal properties.Xiaobing Zhou Lei Jing Yong Duk Kwon Jin-Young Kim Zhengren Huang Dang-Hyok Yoon Jaehyung Lee Qing Huang 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,4:3
5Sex-based differences in histology,staging,and prognosis among 2983 gastric cancer surgery patients显示文摘BACKGROUND Few studies have been conducted on sex differences in the incidence, pathophysiology, and prognosis of gastric cancer(GC).AIM To analyze the differences in GC characteristics according to sex in patients who underwent surgical treatment for GC.METHODS A total of 2983 patients diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma who received surgical treatment at the Seoul National University Bundang Hospital between 2003 and 2017 were included.Baseline clinicopathological characteristics, histologic type of GC, overall and GC-specific survival rates, and associated risk factors were analyzed.RESULTS Among the 2983 patients, 2005(67.2%) and 978(32.8%) were males and females, respectively.The average age of the female group(59.36 years) was significantly younger than that of the male group(61.66 years;P < 0.001).Cancer of the gastric body(P < 0.001) and diffuse-type histology(P < 0.001) were more common in females than in males.This trend was more prominent in females younger than 60 years of age, with a significantly higher proportion of diffuse-type cancer than in the male group.Regardless of sex, diffuse-type GC was more common in younger patients, and the proportion of intestinal-type GC increased with age.The overall survival rate was significantly higher in females(P < 0.001).However, this difference disappeared for GC-specific survival(P = 0.168), except for the poor GC-specific survival rate in advanced-stage cancer(stage Ⅲ or above) in females(P = 0.045).The risk factors for GC-related mortality were older age, upper location of GC, and diffuse-or mixed-type histology.In terms of comorbidities, more males died from diseases other than GC, including other malignancies such as lung cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and pancreatic cancer, and respiratory diseases such as interstitial lung disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, while there were relatively more cardiovascular or cerebrovascular deaths in females.CONCLUSION Sex-based differences in GC were observed in clinicopathological features, including age at diagnosis, tumor location, histologic type, survival rate, and comorbidities.Yonghoon Choi Nayoung Kim Ki Wook Kim Hyeong Ho Jo Jaehyung Park Hyuk Yoon Cheol Min Shin Young Soo Park Dong Ho Lee Hyeon Jeong Oh Hye Seung Lee Young Suk Park Sang-Hoon Ahn Yun-Suhk Suh Do Joong Park Hyung-Ho Kim Ji-Won Kim Jin Won Kim Keun-Wook Lee Won Chang Ji HoonPark Yoon Jin Lee Kyoung Ho Lee Young Hoon Kim 2022World Journal of Gastroenterology2022,28,9:2

11HR-TEM and FIB-SEM characterization of formation of eutectic-like structure from amorphous GdAlO_3-Al_2O_3 system显示文摘The crystallization process of the eutectic composition of GdAlO_3-Al_2O_3 from the amorphous phase prepared by rapid-quenching of melt that leads to the formation of a cantaloupe skin-like microstructure was investigated using focused ion-beam scanning electron microscopy (FIB-SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM).The amorphous films were heat-treated at temperatures between 1000 °C and 1500 °C for up to 30min to form the eutectic phases of GdAlO_3 and Al_2O_3.The GdAlO_3 and Al_2O_3 crystal phases that formed from the amorphous phase were identified by FIB-SEM and HR-TEM.Both components began to crystallize and grow from the amorphous phase separately at different temperatures.The formation process of these crystal phases was different from that of the ordinary eutectic microstructure solidified from the GdAlO_3-Al_2O_3 system.Therefore,the observed structure is termed 'eutectic-like' for distinction.The microstructures formed from the amorphous phases at sufficiently high temperatures consisted of ultra-fine microstructures of individually crystallized components and were similar to ordinary eutectic microstructures.By heat-treating the amorphous films at 1500 °C for either 2 min,8min or 30min,the ultra-fine components of GdAlO_3 and Al_2O_3 were found to crystallize following a eutectic-like stage after 8min of heat treatment.Y.H.HAN Y.HARADA J.F.SHACKELFORD Jaehyung LEE K.KAKEGAWA 2012中国有色金属学会会刊:英文版2012,22,S3:1
