| 1 | Vehicle Planar Motion Stability Study for Tyres Working in Extremely Nonlinear Region显示文摘Many researches on vehicle planar motion stability focus on two degrees of freedom(2DOF) vehicle model, and only the lateral velocity (or side slip angle) and yaw rate are considered as the state variables. The stability analysis methods, such as phase plane analysis, equilibriums analysis and bifurcation analysis, are all used to draw many classical conclusions. It is concluded from these researches that unbounded growth of the vehicle motion during unstable operation is untrue in reality thus one limitation of the 2DOF model. The fundamental assumption of the 2DOF model is that the longitudinal velocity is treated as a constant, but this is intrinsically incorrect. When tyres work in extremely nonlinear region, the coupling between the vehicle longitudinal and lateral motion becomes significant. For the purpose of solving the above problem, the effect of vehicle longitudinal velocity on the stability of the vehicle planar motion when tyres work in extremely nonlinear region is investigated. To this end,a 3DOF model which introducing the vehicular longitudinal dynamics is proposed and the 3D phase space portrait method is employed for visualization of vehicle dynamics.Through the comparisons of the 2DOF and 3DOF models,it is discovered that the vehicle longitudinal velocity greatly affects the vehicle planar motion, and the vehicle dynamics represented in phase space portrait are fundamentally different from that of the 2DOF model. The vehicle planar motion with different front wheel steering angles is further represented by the corresponding vehicle route, yaw rate and yaw angle. These research results enhance the understanding of the stability of the vehicle system particularly during nonlinear region, and provide the insight into analyzing the attractive region and designing the vehicle stability controller, which will be the topics of future works. | LIU Li SHI Shuming SHEN Shuiwen CHU Jiangwei | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,2: | 8 |
| 2 | The spatial variation of soil bacterial community assembly processes affects the accuracy of source tracking in ten major Chinese cities显示文摘Urban soils harbor billions of bacterial cells and millions of species. However, the distribution patterns and assembly processes of bacterial communities remain largely uncharacterized in urban soils. It is also unknown if we can use the bacteria to track soil sources to certain cities and districts. Here,Illumina MiSeq sequencing was used to survey soil bacterial communities from 529 random plots spanning 61 districts and 10 major cities in China.Over a 3,000 km range, community similarity declined with increasing geographic distance(Mantel r=0.62),and community composition was clustered by city(R^(2)=0.50).Within cities(<100 km),the aforementioned biogeographic patterns were weakened.Process analysis showed that homogenizing dispersal and dispersal limitation dominated soil bacterial assembly at small and large spatial scales, respectively.Accordingly, the probabilities of accurately tracking random soil sources to certain cities and districts were 90.0% and 66.7%,respectively.When the tested samples originated from cities that were more than 1,265 km apart, the soil sources could be identified with nearly 100% accuracy.Overall, this study demonstrates the strong distance-decay relationship and the clear geographic zoning of urban soil bacterial communities among cities. The varied importance of different community assembly processes at multiple spatial scales strongly affects the accuracy of microbial source tracking. | Teng Yang Yu Shi Jun Zhu Chang Zhao Jianmei Wang Zhiyong Liu Xiao Fu Xu Liu Jiangwei Yan Meiqing Yuan Haiyan Chu | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9: | 4 |

| 8 | Chassis tra fficability simulation and experiment of a LY1352JP forest tracked vehicle显示文摘Based on the analysis of complex terrains and current forest transportation equipment,a forest tracked vehicle prototype LY1352 JP was developed. The road model and the virtual prototype of the chassis were constructed using dynamic simulation software RecurDyn.The optimal tension of the vehicle as well as its capabilities for crossing trenches, climbing vertical walls, uphill and downhill slopes were simulated. The simulation results showed that the optimum tension force of the chassis of the vehicle was 63 kN(kilonewton),accounting for 45%of the total vehicle weight. The maximum trench crossing width and vertical obstacle climbing height were 1.35 m and 0.45 m,respectively. The maximum uphill and downhill angles were 50°and 45°,respectively.Tests on the prototype capacity for crossing trenches, and uphill and downhill driving were carried out.The test results were in agreement with the simulation results.A cross-country performance of a fire truck based on the tracked vehicle chassis was conducted in an old-growth forest.Tests verified that the vehicle has a strong forest trafficability performance and can meet the needs for forest transportation. | Shufa Sun Jinfeng Wu Chunlong Ren Hualin Tang Jianwei Chen Wenliang Ma Jiangwei Chu | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Speed Spatial Distribution Models for Traffic Accident Section of Freeway Based on Computer Simulation显示文摘Simulation models for accident section on freeway are built in microscopic traffic flow simulation environment. In these models involving 2-lane,3-lane and 4-lane freeway, one detector is set every 10 m to measure section running speed. According to the simulation results, speed spatial distribution curves for traffic accident section on freeway are drawn which help to determine dangerous sections on upstream of accident section. Furthermore, the speed spatial distribution models are obtained for every speed distribution curve. The results provide theoretical basis for determination on temporal and spatial influence ranges of traffic accident and offer reference to formulation of speed limit scheme and other management measures. | Decai Li Jiangwei Chu Wenhui Zhang Xiaojuan Wang Guosheng Zhang | 2015 | Journal of Harbin Institute of Technology(New Series)2015,22,3: | 0 |
