| 1 | Effect of Boschniakia rossica on expression of GSTP,p53 and p21^(ras)proteins in early stage of chemical hepatocarcinogenesis and its anti-inflammatory activities in rats显示文摘AIM To investigate the effect of Boschniakiarossica(BR)extract on expression of GST-P,p53 and p21rasproteins in early stage of chemicalhepatocarcinogenesis in rats and its anti-inflammatory activities.METHODS The expression of tumor marker-placental form glutathione S-transferase(GST-P),p53 and p21rasproteins were investigated byimmunohistochemical techniques and ABCmethod.Anti-inflammatory activities of BR werestudied by xylene and croton oil-induced mouseear edema,carrageenin,histamine and hotscald-induced rat pow edema,adjuvant-inducedrat arthritis and cotton pellet-induced mousegranuloma formation methods.RESULTS The 500 mg/kg of BR-H2O extractfractionated from BR-Methanol extract hadinhibitory effect on the formation of DEN-inducedGST-P-positive foci in rat liver(GST-P stainingwas 78% positive in DEN+AAF group vs 20%positive in DEN+AAF+BR group,P<0.05)andthe expression of mutant p53 and p21rasproteinwas lower than that of hepatic preneoplasticlesions(33% and 22% positive respectively inDEN+AAF group vs negative in DEN+AAF+BRgroup).Both CH2Cl2 and H2O extracts from BRhad anti-inflamatory effect in xylene and crotonoil-induced mouse ear edema(inhibitory rateswere 26%-29% and 35%-59%,respectively). BR-H2O extract exhibited inhibitory effect incarrageenin,histamine and hot scald-inducedhind paw edema and adjuvant-induced arthritis inrats and cotton pellet-induced granulomaformation in mice.CONCLUSION BR extract exhibited inhibitory effect on formation of preneoplastic hepatic foci in early stage of rat chemical hepato-carcinogenesis. | 3 | Preparation and Anti-oxidative Effects of Corn Peptides显示文摘Corn peptides(CP) were prepared from zein via proteolysis by means of a type of alkaline protease, Alcalase, at 50 ℃ and pH 8.0. The anti oxidative activity of the hydrolysate was examined. It was found that the anti oxidative activity reached the maximum at the fourth hour of the hydrolysis and then decreased. The effect of the enzyme dosage on the solubility of corn protein, the dependence of hydrolysis time on the degree of the hydrolysis(DH) and molecular weight distribution were examined respectively. 30% DH was controlled on the basis of anti oxidative activity. The hydrolysate was fractionated on a Sephadex G 15 column. The anti oxidative activities were examined for all the fractions. The main fraction for anti oxidative activity was collected and characterized by the methods of amino acid analysis, the measurement of average chain length and etc .. The main M W distribution of the main fraction was 300-600 Daltons. The anti oxidative properties of the small peptides in vitro were studied. It was found that they could inhibit the auto oxidation of pyrogallol and the oxidation of hemoglobin. | 4 | Scalable and ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers for electrically tunable liquid-crystal microlens arrays显示文摘The scalable growth of wafer-sized single-crystal graphene in an energy-efficient manner and compatible with wafer process is critical for the killer applications of graphene in high-performance electronics and optoelectronics. Here, ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers is realized on singlecrystal Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) thin films fabricated by a tailored two-step magnetron sputtering and recrystallization process. The minor nickel(Ni) content greatly enhances the catalytic activity of Cu, rendering the growth of a 4 in. single-crystal monolayer graphene wafer in 10 min on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1), 50 folds faster than graphene growth on Cu(1 1 1). Through the carbon isotope labeling experiments, graphene growth on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) is proved to be exclusively surface-reaction dominated, which is ascribed to the Cu surface enrichment in the Cu Ni alloy, as indicated by element in-depth profile. One of the best benefits of our protocol is the compatibility with wafer process and excellent scalability. A pilot-scale chemical vapor deposition(CVD) system is designed and built for the mass production of single-crystal graphene wafers, with productivity of 25 pieces in one process cycle. Furthermore, we demonstrate the application of single-crystal graphene in electrically controlled liquid-crystal microlens arrays(LCMLA), which exhibit highly tunable focal lengths near 2 mm under small driving voltages. By integration of the graphene based LCMLA and a CMOS sensor, a prototype camera is proposed that is available for simultaneous light-field and light intensity imaging. | 7 | Synthesis of Nicotinic Acid by Potassium Dichromate Oxidation显示文摘Nicotinic acid was synthesized from 3 methylpyridine with potassium dichromate as the oxidant. The reaction conditions, the product separation and analysis were studied. The results indicate that under the certain reaction conditions, the yield of nicotinic acid can reach 67.4%, the conversion can reach 99.7% and the selectivity can be as high as 99.8%. | 13 | Comparison of Photochemical Reactions of m-Cresol in Aqueous Solution and in Ice显示文摘We compared the photochemical reaction of m-cresol containing ·OH precursors such as H2O2, NO2 and NO3 in aqueous solution with those in ice. The results show that the conversion rate of m-cresol in aqueous solution was higher than that in ice. H2O2, NO2 and NO3 all accelerated the photoconversion of m-cresol in both aqueous solution and ice. The photochemical reactions of m-cresol obeys the first order kinetics equation. According to the photoproducts identified by GC-MS, we proposed that hydroxylation and nitration reactions occurred in both aqueous solution and ice. Coupling reaction was common in ice, however, in aqueous solution it was found only in UV system. In order to simulate the stressing condition at the ’hot spot’ of the tubular joints and the marine environment, random variable amplitude fatigue tests have been carried out on welded plate joints in sea water. The tests have been conducted under the conditions of loading frequency of 0.2 Hz, stress ratio of -1, seawater temperature of about 20℃ and cathodic protection with the potential about -850 mV, SCE. The test results have been compared with the seawater corrosion fatigue life under constant amplitude loading. Miner’s linear cumulative damage summation rule has been used to predict the corrosion fatigue life under variable amplitude loading. | 18 | Preparation and Electrochemical Behaviors of AA-PEGMA Copolymer Film Electrode显示文摘A new kind of comblike copolymer film composed of acrylic acid-polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether acrylate copolymer(AA-PEGMA copolymer) was successfully synthesized to immobilize hemoglobin(Hb). FTIR, UV-Vis and CD spectra suggest that Hb kept its original structure in the AA-PEGMA copolymer film without denaturation. A pair of well-defined, quasi-reversible cyclic voltammetric peaks at around -270 mV vs. saturated calomel electrode(SCE) for the Hb Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox couple was observed on the film-modified electrode in phos phate buffer solution(PBS, pH=7.0). The formal potential of Hb/AA-PEGMA copolymer film-modified electrode is linearly dependent on solution pH with a slope of -46.3 mV/pH, illustrating that one-proton transfer was accompa nied with each electron transfer. Furthermore, the modified electrode displayed electrocatalytic response to the reduc tion of H2O2 with a linear range of 3.5―126 μmol/L and a detection limit of 1.17 μmol/L. | 20 | INFLUENCE OF PLATE THICKNESS ON FATIGUE BEHAVIOUR OF WELDED JOINTS IN AIR AND IN SEA WATER显示文摘Bending fatigue tests were carried out on cruciform welded joints of China-made platform steel E36-Z35 with plate thicknesses of 16mm, 32mm and 40mm. The tests consisted of testing in air and in sea water with and without cathodic protection (-850mV. SCE). The sea water corrosion fatigue tests were conducted at loading frequency of 0.2 Hz and sea water temperature of 20℃. The test results show an obvious reduction in fatigue strength of welded joints with increasing plate thickness in all the three test conditions. The present paper proposes different thickness corrections for fatigue strength and fatigue life of welded joints in air and in sea water with and without cathodic protection respectively.
